This is a summertime hit. An old school drive in serving some of the tastiest tacos, tostadas, nachos, and root beer around. It’s nothing to look at, but the food will bring back memories of childhood. Typically open May-Sept. Don’t pass it up!

This is the drive in from days gone by. It’s older than the hills and not much to look at except for it’s historical stature and the disbelief that the place is still standing. At one point in the past, Dick’s almost closed their doors for good; but the public outcry from die hard patrons near and far was deafening. As recently as the penning of this review, Dick’s is alive and well and still serving the tacos people just can’t get enough of. I’m going to be honest, you will either love them or hate them. They are real corn tortillas filled with a saucy meat mixture topped with a little cheese and lettuce. Your choice of mild or spicy. When you eat them, if you don’t catch it, the sauce drips down your hand to your wrist and to your arm. It’s inevitable. They are small. I suggest you try one, and if you love it, you can probably eat two for every one taco you eat at the usual chains. Check for hours and season before you go because just this year they reduced their open hours, and they are only open from Memorial Day to the end of summer.

You can’t go wrong with the spicy original tacos. They are the most unique tacos I have ever had with the meat in the sauce and the corn flour slightly crispy tortillas.
