I agree with Brian P’s review. Best friend has lived there for three years. Constant sewer issues, occasional backups. They have their own maintenance staff but their skills are limited. The toilet has never worked properly. Complaints always bring in the guy with a plunger. If you have to flush three times there is either an issue with the commode, or the pipe is blocked downstream — a plunger won’t fix that. It requires a mechanical snaking or repair. Cabinets are old and poor quality. If an appliance stops working they swap an equally old one out of another apartment. The heating is with hot water and radiators and is poorly regulated. People have their windows open in the middle of winter, with their thermostats off. Now there are tiny slab ants coming up through the kitchen, bathroom, and through the carpet. An exterminator has sprayed multiple times but it has not prevented then from returning. They recently re-roofed the buildings, and replaced the old single pane aluminum windows with new vinyl ones and covered to rotting wood with aluminum, and replaced old aluminum siding with vinyl siding. That is just putting paint on a pig(it may be shiny and white, but it is still a pig.) Late on a payment? Zero tolerance. Expect a $ 200+ fee to be added to your rent. They say that they have a pool, but it has been closed for the past three years. Late last summer they re-opened it, but now they want residents to pay a premium to use it. There are no dishwashers. Carpets are very old and worn. The new windows, trim and paint were badly needed, but now they are raising the rent! Look around well before signing a lease. Do not get a room on the ground floor, due to ants and sewer backups. Before signing the lease try and call the office a few times, as if you are a tenant rather than someone looking to rent. Manager is seldom in the office, and calls from tenants are not returned.

Make sure you know exactly what you are getting before moving in. They didn’t show us an actual apartment and only the model. So of course the model looked super nice. The apartment… Not so much. Also don’t let them fool you on the«pool». It has never been open. They did get new management so let’s see how things change. Our heat has gone out 4 times this winter. It gets about 90+ in our apartment over the summer and the small air conditioners don’t help much. They are overworked and only cool it down to like 75 – 80. As soon as we unlocked the door we wanted to move out. Carpet is nasty, bathroom tile is nasty, black mold everywhere. Maintenance comes in even when told not to. Jason was cool but not Grant. Storage unit is a joke. Just like dog cages. Only one Washer and dryer and they are $ 1.50 for half a load. Water pressure and temperature is never consistent. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything. You can smell others cigarette and marihuana smoke. Only good thing is the fact that it’s close to downtown and bike trails. For the price… It’s not really worth it.
