Macy’s

Everyone who works here is super nice, especially at the makeup and fragrance counters.

For Macy’s, this is a pretty abysmal establishment when it comes to selection, store layout and most importantly, customer service. Out of all the Macy’s in the area, this is the worst overall that I have shopped at. Why? I shall explain…
First of all, the customer service has ranged from decent to poor on several locations. The associates that I have come across either at the checkout or at the customer service area usually have a glum demeanor and a stern face. This usually followed with a cold «how can I help you» without a smile. I don’t expect them to love the job but the reactions I got turned me off to the point where I dread ever having to go back to the customer service area.
On a positive note, they have a good amount of clearance and sale items available no matter the season. There is plenty to browse through in both the men and women departments so it makes for a nice bargain hunting experience if you are into that sort of shopping.
The store is decently kept clean, much better then the other location up in Greece so it makes trying to find the right item nice and simple without having to ask one of the down associates for help because sometimes they will either not hear you, say they are busy or will just outright give you an attitude for no reason.
It’s a decent department store in a decent shopping mall with decent customer service and decent selections. If decency isn’t your forte, you may want to look somewhere else for fashionable clothes and accessories.
However, if you don’t mind the customer service and are willing to browse around just for the fun of it, then Macy’s will certainly satisfy those needs… they just didn’t satisfy mine.

This is one of the worst places for customer service. The majority of sales associates are rude and act uncivilized. Every time my wife and myself try to shop their we are unhappy with their service. Managers there, are not any better with assisting. I will never shop at this Macys again they really need a overhaul at this location!

If you spend some time in here, you can find some good sales and clearance items. They also have some good coupons out there for extra savings.

If it were Marcy’s, then it might belong to Marcy Playground. In which it would sell Sex and Candy.
In Henrietta, you will find this Macy’s. I was in here just a few days ago. It’s attached to the Marketplace Mall which is a great little mall that just assassinated the best part of its awesome food court, Abbotts Custard. :(
Again, I like what they’re selling here, but prices are too high, perfume is too strong and you can smell it throughout the store, and the company itself has very questionable political stances, actions, and inactions. This is a medium-​busy Macy’s and the one with the youngest crowd, in my experience.

I went into the store today after having a terrible time with customer service on the phone.
I walked up to a service desk and was helped right away by an EXTREMELY nice associate. She helped me return my item (I was shipped the incorrect item from online), found the item that I originally ordered in the store (which the lady from the customer service hotline told me was not carried in stores), and gave it to me for the same discounted price that I purchased the item for online.
After a very frustrating experience with the general customer service number, online customer service help, and the phone line for this particular store, I was very pleased with the in-​store customer service. From now on, I will definitely be shipping my item to the store, or going directly to the store. It’s a significantly better experience.

The Macys here is TERRIBLE!!! They closed my account because they are incompetent and reopened it in my sisters name. For the past 2 days I have wasted countless hours over the phone trying to get in touch with an actual human to resolve this issue. Multiple people under the same household address can have cards from the same department store, check your information before you close accounts. She just recently received mail that says it looks like you already had an account, so we closed that one and you can keep this one. Seriously?!! Check names, DOB’s, Socials security numbers and license numbers before you pull this stuff. The manager at this Macys has yet to call me back. Her account was opened on the 27^th of august 2014. Mine had been open for years. Her bill has my old paid charges from July and they have given her a late fee as well. How can Macys blatantly disregard customer confidentiality and transfer/​close accounts so easily!!! By the way, that selling associates number is 71 150 271… I’m still on hold with Macys.
