Seriously? Is this a gym or a library?
I don’t know how many times I’ve been asked to drop the weights more gently on the platforms that are meant for deadlifting and doing snatch and jerks because I’m being too loud. No I can’t drop the weight more gently because that’s not how a pendlay row is supposed to be done.
Just today I was asked to leave the gym because I was wearing some athletic boots to work out in stating that they were not soft soled shoes. What the heck are soft soled shoes? The employees here are ridiculous. I had the manager come in to clear things up and she said my shoes were acceptable. The employees here are just too much. They’re over aggressive in enforcing the rules. I’m a good gym member I put my weights back when I’m done and I wipe down my area, what more do you want? It’s not like I was lifting in sandals.
Seriously, OU needs to step it up when it comes to things like this. If you have such rules then they need to be clear and explicitly defined not according to the subjective views of each employee such that it is inconsistent. Really disappointed in this gym.
