Pudgy Girl Bakery

From truffles to cupcakes, vegan cheesecakes to pies these culinary delights are 100% vegan, lots of gluten free options, and the bonus is they are as sweet and fun as Pudgy Girl herself. Everyone in my family is always excited when a Pudgy Girl dessert is brought home!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the treats are from Pudgy Girl. Everything I have tried has been top notch in quality, taste and presentation. So far I have had the Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie with Chocolate Chips, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Espresso Pie, Sugar Cookies, and a vast sampling of the truffles (caramel pretzel, tiramisu, red velvet, sriracha, chocolate coconut, chocolate kahlua, peanut butter, chocolate cherry), which are really obsession-​inducing! Jenny is also super-​friendly and its so nice to support a local, small business that accommodates people with different dietary needs. I’m also a baker myself, so my standards are pretty high and Pudgy Girl exceeds my expectations every time. Even something as simple as a sugar cookie is done to perfection and leaves me wondering what her secret is to make it taste so good. My goal is to try one of everything! :)

I was on a mission to find a bakery that would host a «cupcake wars» themed birthday party for my 8yr old daughter. I googled bakeries in Rochester, NY & started dialing. Many of those I contacted, including Wegmans were unable to accommodate me due to it being wedding season, or they did not want to stray off their usual business. Then I got to Pudgy Girl Bakery & spoke to Jenny & she was open to the idea. She had never done anything like that before but she said she had a room off of the commercial kitchen she uses that could work as the party space & she was willing to join heads with me in brainstorming the perfect 8^th birthday party! We had a theme of Shopkins for the «inspiration table» which is my daughters latest obsession, and Jenny worked with another baker as her partner to lead the party from decorations & paper products to the assistance during the competition! They had fondant the girls could create with & the 2 teams had a blast creating one large «cupcake» cake each! Then we judged for best presentation, taste & overall creativity. It was a huge hit. She put favors together & everything with my guidance. It was a great experience & I was very happy to have had a very unique party. One child was gluten free & we didn’t need to create any special accommodations since one cake was gluten free (not that you’d know it by taste). When I first heard all her treats were vegan I was a bit hesitant but we sampled some things before committing & everything tasted great. I also concur that her truffles are to die for. I had the oatmeal chocolate chip truffles & my daughter & I had to fight for the last one! I appreciated Jenny’s willingness to go out on a limb to make my dream party a reality!

Jenny has provided amazing desserts for me as a caterer and personally on several occasions. She outdoes herself every time going above and beyond for the client. Not to mention she has a talent I’m jealous of as a pastry chef… She makes vegan desserts taste amazing! I cant tell you how many events we had vegan guests that were thrilled that «they» could enjoy the desserts too! The non-​vegans never even knew, and raved as well.
Sourcing local ingredients and preserving for all year use, she was able to make farm fresh strawberry cupcakes for my daughters birthday in December! I’m also a sucker for her truffles, something about the caramel chocolate pretzel that knocks my socks off.

Amazing. Truly delicious dessert options for us lactose and gluten-​intolerant folk! The cookie dough «cheese“cake is to die for.

I could never have guessed that this chocolate deliciousness had the nerve to be vegan. I somehow plan on eating my way through every sweet item on her menu. Jenny, you’re truly a lactose intolerants dream!

I sampled the truffles at an A-​List event and immediately knew I needed Pudgy Girls card on my speed dial. The red velvet are my favorite but each one I tasted was delicious. They have several items that are vegan and gluten free for those with dietary restriction. My friends all loved them too. I cant wait to try one of the cupcakes.
