Great food at cheap prices! Awesome beer selection and cheap pitchers! Love going to meet friends to play pool or darts. Did I mention cheap pitchers? Seriously, this place is the best place in the area for good, cheap bar food and drinks.

This is the second year Bill and Mike generously donated t-​shirts for the stroll for strong kids 5k and walk. Romig’s is not only a wonderful place to eat, drink, and socialize, but they’re all about family and helping out great causes. They care about their patrons and their community. If you haven’t stopped in to romigs, you need to!
Plus, they have the Best wings in Monroe county!

Look boys and girls, Romig’s is a ‘neighborhood bar’ on the west side of town. It’s 60+ years old. The place is ‘rustic’ and caters to ‘salt of the earth’ type of crowd — get over it. You’re not going to get cooties. Every restaurant serves a bad meal once in a while and in 40+ years I can count on 1 hand the number of bad meals I’ve had at Romig’s. I have been eating and drinking in Romig’s since before I could legally buy beer… I have since moved up in life, but I still go back to Romig’s at least once a month. Not for the rustic atmosphere or the cheap drinks ($ 5 pitchers of Rohrbach’s Scotch Ale!)… I go back because they have great food. Make no mistake, it’s not a Five Star menu, but it’s is a step up from the usual bar food. I consider the steak sandwich «The Best Steak Sandwich» in Western NY. There, you heard it here. They have other things that are fantastic also… and they have the best ‘meat hotsauce’ I’ve ever had — and I’ve had them all. And for you, who can’t sit in a rustic bar, they also own Bennington’s (sit down) ‘Restaurant’ on the other end of the building. You can eat off of a menu or even get Romig’s bar food served over there.

$ 5 pitchers of beer… Except the cheap stuff, that’s $ 4. They make a deep fried garbage plate. Really. Do not ride that ride if you have a heart condition, otherwise enjoy heaven! The burgers are awesome the wings are awesome, everything is awesome

Unparalleled.
Even before my experience last night I was quite taken by this place. A friend of mine had mentioned that they have something called a «Trash wrap», and being a garbage plate lover I had to make sure I wasn’t missing out on any Rochester treasures. A few months back I ventured out to try it and have been in love ever since. The trash wrap is incredible. Do you remember when you had that garbage plate that was painstakingly and lovingly made? Me either. The trash wrap comes with a side of pride and smothered in love. It’s utterly delicious. If you have not tried one, you must.
Last night it went to a whole new level. TGE, as we fondly refer to the night before Thanksgiving, is a night we historically go out or throw a party and enjoy life. Romigs had a Thanksgiving special meal of turkey with ALL the fixings for 4.95. Unbeatable right?! Well, we were sitting at the table debating on that or a trash wrap (the goto now) when we thought about the thanksgiving wrap! Take all the goods and make a wrap with the same concept as the trash wrap but use all the turkey day goods! All excited about the idea we told the waitress about it (like it was this great new idea or something) and she said «yeah, we’ve been doing that all night». Happy that great minds think alike we ordered four.
It was ridiculous. I have never eaten anything like it in my life. It came with gravy to dip it in. Forget spreading all that stuff out on a plate and thinking you are creating a smörgåsbord of love. Take all that deliciousness and stuff it in a wrap then deep fry it. The result? No going back. My thanksgiving meal today will be good, but it will forever be minor league to my new Thanksgiving love, the Thanksgiving Trash Wrap.
Did I mention beer prices? I better not, your head might implode at the surprise of it all.

Looking for a Saturday night dinner destination, we decided to give Romig’s a go. (Using Unilocal’s recommendation of course) We were not disappointed. Four of us were all delighted with our decision. Our waitress (Maria) was prompt, answered all our questions, offered suggestions, and checked in for drink refills on cue. The food was prepared and served surprisingly quick considering the crowd. Three of us ordered different variations of grilled chicken sandwiches. Although my wife thought her’s was slightly overdone, two of us thoroughly enjoyed ours. Our fourth ordered a meatball sub that he said was the best he ever had. Our two pitchers of beer cost less than our wives’ two glasses of wine. The lesson here is «when at Romig’s … order beer!»

Best bar food of anyplace in rochester! Chicken wings are outstanding. I would give them 5 stars if they would update the looks inside and out.

A divey dark small bar that has amazing bar food. Pretty sure it’s a one man show that makes all the food here. The cook has been working here for years.
I have not had a huge selection of plates in my life, but the ones i have had from here are top notch.
Bartenders are friendly, fast and make a strong one.
So if you are looking for a place to go and to throw a bunch back and eat some bar foods come here.
I ordered a white hot plate w a side of potato salad. Which was amazing!

Romig’s is so fantastic. I can see why it’s been around for a bazillion years. It’s divey — but that’s part of the Rochester charm ;)
The prices are out of this world fantastic and the food… best bar food around. Pay $ 5 for a pitcher of Labbatt Blue, $ 4 for a pitcher of Genny Bock, and anywhere else, that would be around $ 8-​$ 9. I love the atmosphere and the bartenders are very attentive.
I’ve never had a problem with the food; I actually really enjoy it. Even when it is PACKED; the food always arrives pretty quickly and it’s steaming. The wings are HUGE and awesomely sauced… and priced so fair. I’m also a huge fan of their onion rings, fries, open faced turkey sandwiches, and unlimited pasta nights.
Romig’s is Rochester staple (and a Raiders bar… go Patriots ha!) and I can see why they have been around for so many years. Prices can’t be beat and the food is great.
A great visit for a good time without shelling out $ 70! If you’re visiting, you have to stop by!
