Great HEALTHY food, I wish there were more of these types of places in the Midwest! Chicken w/rice was great!

Update 2: Ukraine dinner of pyrohi and borscht excellent. Recommend asking for extra sauerkraut up front for the fresh crunch to complement Truffle pie with pecan, coconut crust superb. Share with your friends or take the other six bites home(if you have the willpower to stop eating it) Update 1: Beet salad excellent. Chocolate Pretzel frozen Vegan pie superb and dairy free. Order when your food arrives and let it warm up 10 – 15 min. Blueberry smoothie excellent also. However save the calories and get the pie instead. It’s unique. Original. Great Cranberry Wild Rice French Toast stuffed with strawberry crème cheese. Also had the Spicy Thai Sauté with added chicken also excellent. Not spicy to my taste but that’s okay as I didn’t need the heat. Also shared the spinach kale almond stir fry which was perfectly prepared so cooked but slightly crunchy with raisins. My dad who eats only Chinese food really liked this. Going back soon to try the borscht and pierogi. If be here twice a week if I lived there. If you are visiting from out of town and going to St. Mary’s, walk across the street and try this place out. Lots of tasty, fresh healthy choices. Terrific service from Nikki and Lindsey.

The juices are quite pricey, but freshly made. It’s a little disappointing that these are the only juices available in Rochester, but I’m glad there’s this option. They had another location closer to the downtown campus, but that has been closed down :(

Great healthy food! It’s the only restaurant of its kind I’ve found in Rochester. I’m grateful to have a place that is focused on high quality ingredients and nutritious meals. The staff are very friendly and have been willing to taylor my meals to my needs/wants.

It’s a good place overall and great for Rochester. Travelers will find slightly different versions of their vegetarian favorites at a slightly higher price. For instance no one will complain about their biscuits and gravy, other than it’s just two biscuits. You’re not going to do better by going to Hy-Vee and Trader Joe’s and making you’re own, so just deal with the pricing. Great location across the street from hospital full of people who need to eat better, and they will box up items for you. Fresh made items and specials seem to sell out, so go early. Go often too as I want this place to stay around!

Good food! Little expensive but everything tastes really fresh and clean! I got the chicken and rice bowl which came with a salad. Great service. Friendly staff. Nice décor

The food is delicious. Sometimes it’s over salted though. Also, I got take out from there and they wrapped it in this thin paper which stuck to the brown rice wrap. Completely made the wrap fall apart and I think I may have eaten some of the paper stuck to it, by accident. Hopefully they read these reviews and change that.

Very allergy friendly menu. Which in a town like Rochester s quite uncommon. Slightly overpriced and smaller portions. Wish the parking was better or i would be more likely to return.

Nothing really special about this place other than them claiming to be healthy. But when you serve healthy food in a restaurant you try not to compromise the flavors! Been here twice and both times wasn’t impressed with the food. It’s not bad actually but also not waw! Just OK. The staff are always friendly and helpful and this is one of the good qualities this place has. The next time I come here it will probably be just for the smoothies and drinks since they do a good job here but not for the food.

How is this not more popular? Seriously I see all these people biking, running but where and what the heck are they eating??? This is fresh, as much farm to table as they can. The grocery stores are sub par, I can’t find anything decent, if you look at Unilocal reviews red lobster gets almost 5 stars so maybe that’s the issue. I encourage everyone to try this cute little place. Healthy. Tasty. Yes a place can offer both:) I plan on going back for a bison burger and will update my review accordingly.

Not as good as the reviews… but pleasant enough I would probably come back again… The dining options are really limited here in Rochester… Service was pretty bad. Had to wait for a while for the waitress to come back to take our orders. Ukranian Borscht — it was ok. Nothing special. BBQ chicken Sammy — flavorful. I would recommend it. Pyrohi — standard. Good. But nothing special. Will try their juice and smoothies next time. I was too full to try.

Kale was too salty but other than that everything was nice… Black bean burger was nice but a bit dry. Tabula salad was great and fresh!

I was so happy to find Tonic. Tonic is one of the very very few places in Rochester, MN that provides healthy farm to table meals that also caters to those with food allergies. I was amazed at how hard it was to find a place here with fresh pressed juices, organic food fare and the like; but, Tonic is it! The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. The Breakfast Hash, their«I’m Hungry«plate and the gluten free toast with real jam are so good. I’ve also had their veggie wrap and their breakfast wrap, all made with a gluten free wrap and they were both delicious. The cranberry stuffed French toast is a must try and their jasmine tea was the perfect complement to their dishes. And the tea was legit-not just tea bags you throw in a cup-real tea petals that you steep with their timer. It’s such a cute hidden gem close to The Mayo Clinic. I’ve visited here many times since then. High quality food is hard to find and takes time. So if you are looking for more meal for you buck or drive thru fast food waiting times, Tonic may not be for you. But, you’ve only got one body, so why not fuel it with the best? And the best is at Tonic!

I’ve eaten here three times in the last 48 hours so obviously I like this place. For two breakfasts I had eggs and greens both times with wheat toast and homemade jam which is close to perfect for a tasty, healthy breakfast. The jams were rhubarb one day and apricot/mango another. For lunch today I had a ratatouille which was excellent. It’s nice to find a place, especially when traveling, where you can eat a lot of vegetables. Since they ran out of roasted beets I’ll have to come back to try those next.

I always love having the option of a healthy place to eat when traveling. I had the quiche of the day(southwest black bean) and oatmeal. The quiche was a little small for me, definitely for a light breakfast. It wouldn’t have filled me up without the oatmeal. The oatmeal was really good. The staff were very friendly. It was a little expensive — $ 50 for 3 of us but definitely good. Definitely want to go back to try a juice or smoothie.

So we walked in and the place was literally empty. We sat around for 10 minutes waiting and no one showed up. When we looked back in the kitchen it was empty too. The whole experience was just very odd… Edit: So I amended my review from 1 to 3 stars so it isn’t so harsh since they were apparently closed. All I’m saying is that an open door, music playing, menus laid out, and a guy that watched us walk right in without saying anything is generally a pretty decent indicator that a place is open.

Came here for a quick lunch, as it’s just across the street from St Mary’s hospital. It serves all organic food with a ton of vegetarian options. Everything looked delicious. I had the spicy fajita wrap which wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked it, but it was nevertheless tasty. The wraps come with the option of kale chips, fruit or soup. The breakfast options were popular at our table but I didn’t try it. One tip: check into Unilocal so you get a free drink, my strawberry lemonade was so refreshing. I’ll be back!

Yumo! Delish(warm) market veggie wrap with hummus, olive temponade, mushrooms, squash and spinach. Absolutely wonderful. Had their soup with it it was a tomato broth based soup with beets in it. Had the green juice too. All was absolutely perfect. Fast, good service. Can’t wait to go back! Couple of points: they don’t offer nutritional info, and is a tad expensive for lunch– but I’m willing to pay for it– Twas yummy!

My husband and I stopped by here on our way out of town while visiting family. We’d eaten out a ton and I needed some fresh green juice to make me feel healthy & human again. I got the«Easy Being Green» juice, it was SO good. He got the«Smooth Operator,» and liked mine better. He said the jicama base left it a little plain. My green juice had SO much flavor, and a little kick from the ginger and citrus. I almost turned around and got another for the road after my first sip. I’ll definitely plan a stop by here next time we’re nearby!

Food is really good, service can be spotty. My wife and I walked in on a recent Friday night, and were one of only two couples in the place. We waited a long time for our food, and the server pretty much ignored us once she put the food on the table. We had to go up to the register in the back and ask for our check. She told me basically to have a seat and she would bring the check. I was a little grouchy about that. And one minor beef: either they believe all the stupid nutri-babble they ever hear or else they just want to steal your money by lying about it, one or the other. For example, despite what’s written all over the place, an ounce of fucking wheat grass juice doesn’t replace two fucking pounds of vegetables. No fucking way, OK? And please don’t get me started on fucking Kangen water: Shut up with the God-Damned nutri-babble, and just keep making great local food, OK?
