This hotel is seriously awful and should not be allowed to operate. I feel ashamed that I made my husband and toddler sleep here. I was just looking for a place close to family to sleep overnight before heading back to NC. I used my credit card points to pay for most of it, but I really should have done a better job researching the place. We pulled up and I thought we had the wrong address. There is nothing that says«Best Western,» except for the room keys. There is NOELEVATOR. So, that was fun lugging our stuff upstairs, which included my son and all his necessities. The«curtains» look like wrinkled bed sheets and the paint/wallpaper is peeling. The room itself was clean enough, which is the only reason we didn’t high-tail it out of there. Our balcony had a beautiful view of a large mud pit and construction vehicles. We awoke bright and early to get the hell out of there, and the entire first floor was sopping wet. No note, no explanation of why this was. I’m surprised my socks didn’t get wet through my shoes. The breakfast was a joke. I’m shocked to find out they can get $ 100+ a night here. Did I mention the water was brown when I tried to take a shower? STAYAWAY!

This place comes cheap, so the star rating is really based on that important fact. I’ve had the need to stay at this Best Western for multiple day stretches recently, and I cannot complain. Some night I got my room for a whopping $ 35 on Priceline, and the most I paid was $ 57.(Hint: this is the only 2-star on Priceline for this exact area). Normally I don’t go for a no service hotel, but this place really is fine. The hallways and lobby are dated, but the rooms have all been clean. The beds are comfortable(skimpy blankets though), and there are fridges and microwaves in all the rooms. There’s a fee breakfast in the morning(never ate it), but there’s also the Hibernia Diner literally across the street. The Hibernia is a typical Jersey diner, so I love it! Seriously, if you need a room around these parts, and you’re looking to save some money, this place fits the bill. Not as nice as either the Hampton Inn around the corner or the Hilton Garden Inn a couple of miles away, but at less than half the price — no problem. Last note — request a room on the second floor. Ladies — demand a room on the second floor. I think it’s just wiser all around, and the rooms are nicer too.
