Visiting Rockland for a brief period but had some great food and a great atmosphere at Wich Please’s winter lunch spot inside of Comida. Thanks Wich Please!

There’s a reason Comida is hosting these guys currently for the winter. Crazy good! Get a grilled cheese with soup, you won’t be disappointed! A refreshing take and delicious and super friendly owners, stop reading and go get the Truffle Shuffle!

Our intrepid crew made it to ‘Wich Please, just after Labor Day as the summer throngs thinned, to share around three excellent sandwiches! Will be back as long as fall weather allows. Thank you Malcolm! P. S. Now lunch available at Comida, downtown Rockland!

A fresh and well thought out menu of gourmet sandwiches. Our first time there we ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the BLT as well as a side of tater tots to share. The pork was expertly cooked. The tater tots were the perfect crispness and had a slightly spicy sauce drizzled on top with a dash of fresh scallions. I wished I had tried something more daring the than the BLT. I have since been back a few times for taco night which is Friday’s from 4−7pm. You must follow their Facebook to see what awesome tacos are being served up. It changes weekly. Another really awesome thing is the location. It’s in «buoy park» behind the trade winds hotel and police station on Rockland harbor. There are picnic tables, ocean breezes, and huge old iron buoys for the kids … and adults to climb on. My only wish is that they had some gluten free bread available.

If you’re spending the day in Rockland, hitting up the ‘Wich, Please truck is the perfect way to really get a feel for what this town is all about. Positioned in Buoy Park, where you can sit down and enjoy the view in nice weather(or let your kids run out some energy), it’s a great place to sample the mouth-watering array of sandwiches offered daily. It’s hard to believe they generate these little masterpieces out of a truck. As a parent, I want to add that they will make a very simple grilled cheese for that picky kid you may have — ours ate every bite. Do not miss breakfast! Well, basically, go for any meal. If you aren’t up for a whole sandwich, definitely try the tots. You won’t be sorry.

The Rockland area is probably the most foody area of Maine north of Portland, you better deliver if you want to try your hand at food here. ‘Wich Please not only delivers but could be the best food truck in Maine. Arguably the best sandwich place period. It’s the creativity, attention to local ingredients, & knowledge of flavor that makes it great. My father is a lobster roll expert if there ever was one. He gets them everywhere and he told Malcolm it was the best lobster roll he’d ever had. There is no higher compliment or recommendation I can give. But I can’t ignore the fries. It’s not so much the fries but how they dress them up. Ours were drizzled with aioli and scallions, and were to die for. We could have done extra orders! I can’t wait to try them with Maine cheese sauce and chili. If you’re visiting the area grab lunch here. If you’re local get here often. Prices are very reasonable and the menu changes. I follow their social media sites to stay informed!

Amazing lunch at ‘Wich, Please food truck in their beautiful Rockland waterfront park location. Porchetta and pesto with crackling on a bun, and Brie, bleu cheese, bacon and wild Maine blueberry jam on toasted sourdough. Very friendly service, food made to order, plenty of parking. We’ve been following these guys(the Bedells) on their From Away blog for years even before moving to Maine from Australia. They can do no wrong!

After two visits during their first week open, I can tell this place is going to be great. My sandwiches were made to order very efficiently, were affordable and were absolutely fantastic. It’s a brand new facility, so everything is sparkling, and it’s in a great location. The menu is modern, with a lean toward light comfort food. Unique and flavorful sauces and other condiments pull together great combinations of fresh ingredients. Big plus: Moxie in glass bottles. Win.

I rarely go the same place twice in one month and I was at ‘Wich, Please twice in one week! It was their opening week and aside from a couple of small things everything was fabulous. My first visit there were 3 of us. Of course we all tried each others ‘wiches. «Tomato Confit BLT»(tomatoes roasted in bacon fat, lettuce and bacon on country white bread), «The Rubenesque»(roasted beets, swiss, Morse’s sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on rye bread) and the Grilled Cheese of the day, «The O.D.B.»(American cheese, pickled jalapenos, caramelized onions, and crushed potato chips on swirl bread). All three were delicious! My second visit, with a friend, she had the Grilled Cheese of the day and I had the Pork Belly Porchetta. Melt in your mouth yum! I am already looking forward to Friday night when they will serve tacos and making it to breakfast sometime soon for one of their breakfast sandwiches!
