This place have the best Greek salads with chicken in town .The dressing is delicious …

This location has been about 3 different Greek restaurants with identical menus and very similar names, since the last switch from gyro-​boss to gyros and heroes I’ve decided to check it out. It had always been a favorite of mine and the many changes in name hadn’t affected the quality of the food or prices much so I expected largely the same experience.
I ordered 1 Greek chicken wrap and my bill my over $ 10! No sides, no drink, just one sad small wrap in a big, I asked for extra dressing as an afterthought and was informed that would be $ 1 extra.
One wrap is almost $ 11 and some dressing on the side isn’t even free?
The wrap itself was smaller than usual and mediocre tasting, the dressing was bland. A shame that what was previously such a great location has become INCREDIBLY overpriced and such substandard quality. I was SUCH a fan back when it was gyro boss and w/​e it was called before that (Something in Greek maybe? I forget the name) but now it’s just not worth the money. I mean $ 11 for A WRAP! Really? That one $ rating is a joke. I’m so dissapointed.
I think the positive reviews must have been before it switched from gyro boss to gyros and heros, because nothing about this location is 5 stars.

Spent tons of money there, and one problem I had with 2 orders of Gyro and they make a big thing out of nothing. very rude, u will not go back there and spend my well earned money to these guys ever again until they correct this problem.

So happy I found a new Greek place in RVC! I just recently started ordering from here and the chicken souvlaki sandwich is always so fresh! The service is fast and people behind the counter are very nice to deal with!

I have never been disappointed with this place and happy to find a great Greek place, especially one that delivers. The gyros (chicken and lamb/​beef) are always prepared well and having whole wheat pita is awesome. The chicken melt with veggies is phenomenal and is very tasty. Note that the melt has a pita on the bottom in case you prefer whole wheat. Their hummus and salads are also good and fresh, and you get a great value on it! I’m about to order from here again =) Nom nom nom…

Ordered from this place due to close location and these reviews. the gyro platter, it was mediocre compared to what I’ve had before. I might try a second time but if it taste like this the first time then i don’t know how the second time would be. I gave it two stars because the lamb taste good. The rice pilaf was like Spanish rice mixed with peas and carrots not like authentic rice pilaf. The chicken was too oily. Wild Fig in Garden City is so much better especially because their staff isn’t rude like Gyro and Hero. Thinking strongly of never coming back to this place !

1^st time customer and I was impressed. We ordered for delivery to home in Oside. The delivery was quick and hot when arrived. The food was very good. I would rate it one of the best Greek places in the area.

Ordered delivery from these guys twice. I love their food. Everything seems to be made fresh and they have the best souvlaki in town. Would definitely recommend this place

This is the second time we have ordered from here and it is absolutely delicious. It is some of the best tasting Greek food I have had in a very long time. I have yet to be inside the place because we have only ordered lunch. I have only ordered the Lunch Combo Gyro & Chicken Souvlaki platter. For $ 10.95 it is the best amount of food for the money. I have not expanded from this as of yet due to the fact after eating it the first time I was craving it again today. Everything is fresh, I get it with a Greek salad and grilled vegetables and it all comes in one tin. The flavors are simply amazing, the stuffed grape leaf is fresh and delicious. It also come with a pita and Tzatziki sauce which again is fresh and just great. The amount of meat is huge for lunch and full of flavor without even being close to being dried out. The whole office ordered today so we did try the spinach pie and Falafel, these were great but not needed, we were so full from lunch we barely touched them. This place is a must try if you love the Mediterranean flavors!!! Next up will be the Mousaka Platter.

We’ve been going here while Taste of Greece in Oceanside has been under renovations. It is good.

This place is excellent. This location has had quite a few restaurants in the past, but I truly wish Gyros & Heros success. The food is fresh and well made. The people who work there are all exceptionally friendly, and the delivery service is on point. I’ve eaten at basically all the restaurants in RVC, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was. Also, it’s clean… that’s always a big plus in my book.

This restaurant has changed hands multiple times. Finally, the latest owner has figured out how to attract new customers. I ordered a small Greek salad with grilled chicken, it was delicious! The dressing was very tasty, lots of herbs and flavor, and the grilled chicken was deliciously seasoned. The size of the salad was very generous. I ordered a small and it was quite large. Their prices are reasonable and if the quality and prices are consistent, I have found a, new, fav, Mediterranean restaurant! Defiantly worth a try.
