Faye Spa was offering another Groupon deal, so my mom kindly gifted me an offer for two separate acne facial sessions. I hadn’t used a Groupon with Faye Spa in over two years, and didn’t foresee this to be an issue. Because on top of the Groupon, I always tip a generous 25% or more. I made an appointment over the phone, provided my name and that I was using a Groupon. When I came in for my appointment, Faye gave me a hard time for using a Groupon. She told me that the next visit, I would need to pay full price, but that she would discount, but that I could not use my Groupon’s second session. I let her know that I still had a session left, and that it was a gift from my mom. She refused to accept my Groupon for the next time, but since my last visit, I have moved from Rockville to Washington DC. So the drive isn’t as convenient anymore. So I wanted to proceed with my appointment since I made the drive out. Before starting my session, she waited for me to provide my tip. So I did, and again as usual I provided my 25% tip. No thank you or anything. Her attitude was different. She didn’t seem as friendly and nice this time around. The session was a little different. She didn’t do as good as she did the time before. It didn’t feel as thorough and everything was rushed. My sessions before went anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, this time around it was less than 30 minutes. Super disappointed with the entire experience. And as I was leaving, she forced me to make an appointment even though I didn’t want to. This time around, she ripped me off. Barely gave me a true facial and tried nothing but to make more money off of me. I reported her to Groupon and if she is doing this to more than one person, which from it seems based on reviews that she does it often, she needs to be reported. I truly had a great experience two years ago. I am disappointed in how her business has changed. I won’t ever be coming back or recommending her to anyone.

I just came back from Faye’s spa a couple of hours back. I went there with a Groupon deal. The place is located in a row of townhomes like offices and that too on the back side. Literally a hole in the wall. I have to agree with the 2 reviewers who mentioned language issues. Faye’s command of English isnt all that great, she is not trying to be rude or dismissive, she is trying her best to communicate with you. I have to be honest, this place isnt exactly a spa. But I thought Faye did a good job. She massaged my face well, then steamed to remove blackheads and then left a mask on. I went in for a deep cleaning facial. I would not go here paying full price, but for the Groupon deal, I thought Faye did a good job. This not the place for a relaxing girl’s day out or anything. You go here for a massage or facial, get the job done and leave! I think I will try the place one more time.

If only there were 5 negative stars I would choose it! The business practice is extremely BAD! NO customer service, disrespect the customer, RUDE, and lied without any facial expression! I had a groupon to use before it expires: she greeted that she’s Faye –we spoke on the phone and confirmed the appointment and she accepted my «to be expired» groupon. When I showed up at the spa(it’s a filthy place — definitely nothing to define its a spa) she denied service to me… then suddenly she PRETENDED that she doesn’t speak nor understand English but repeatedly saying sorry to me. She said that she CANNOT accept my groupon and if I want a facial today it’s $ 100.00. Faye –this is totally a BADBUSINESSPRACTICE!!! I’ve already reported you to Groupon.

This has been the worst customer service I’ve experienced. Came in on a Sunday feeling excited for a deep cleasing facial only to be turned away by this woman as soon as I walked in. She said in her broken english, sarcastic and rude tone that I already went there before. She wouldn’t honor the Groupon deal which clearly says ‘May be repurchased every 90 days’ and I was well over the 90 days and I showed her the last time I was there. She even asked me to pay her $ 40 so she can do the facial. Are you kidding me? What’s the point of getting a Groupon if I’m paying for the price!!! And heck I wouldn’t even pay this place full price just because of this lady’s attitude. Look somewhere else!!!

I really hoped to give this lady the benefit of the doubt. She was so sweet over the phone… but apparently so wanted me to bring cash and not do the Groupon and that’s all so talked about. She even remarked«American people are so cheap» whaaaaat type of people I asked??? «American» Lady I’ll pay anything as long as I know it’s a good customer service. So stressful and the deep cleaning wasn’t really a deep cleaning. Thank you for the free water.

Waste of money. Very disappointed with the deep cleaning facial since there was absolutely no deep cleaning involved whatsoever nor was my face«clean» afterwards. The place sure didn’t look nor felt like a spa either… it was more of a hole in the wall on the upper level of a townhouse. «Faye» was more into talking on the phone the whole time I was there than providing good services. She applied things on my face and wiped it off with a used wet towel. She left the room with a machine blowing hot air onto one side of my face that was not comfortable at all… it was not steam cleansing, it was just hot air blowing onto only one side of my face for pretty much the entire time I was there. When I got to my car and looked in the mirror, I noticed materials from the mask on my eyebrow, my face and in my hair. When I got home a few minutes later, I used a toner and a piece of cotton to clean my face off. I have really oily skin… the piece of cotton was how it normally look after using a toner as if I had been outside all day… with oily dirty buildup.

Bought a Groupon deep cleaning facial for my wife and she was completely satisfied with the results! The technician was an absolute expert in how she conducted the treatment. The products used and her technique were fantastic and we are sure to return again soon, and try more services! You won’t be disappointed!

I found Faye’s Spa through a Groupon deal for a deep cleansing facial. The appointment started a little late due to another customer arriving later than scheduled, but I am overall satisfied with her services. Warning: Her English is extremely poor– so if you speak Chinese(either Mandarin or Canto; she speaks both), use it. The deep cleansing facial consisted of: cleansing, exfoliation, steaming, facial massage, extractions, and mask. Faye uses products from GM Colin and La Miel, which are both high end spa products. Her extractions were effective and not painful. The facial lasted approximately one hour. Her prices are extremely reasonable– you can purchase 10 facials for $ 450($ 45 each). She also does eyelash extensions for $ 120, and eyebrow embroidery and tattooing. I am going to come back for more facials and possibly other services. If you’re looking for ambience during your spa experience you should probably look elsewhere, but if you are okay with a no frills, solid facial, you should check out Faye Spa.
