Late review, actually tried months ago. Did take out, delivery was timely and food hot. Got a cali roll, shrimp tempura roll, and spicy salmon all were good. Also ordered a curry that was disappointing. Little meat, the sauce was uninspired, and vegetables a little soggy. Hard to make a review based on simple rolls so the review is based on the curry that was unfortunately not that great. Haven’t gone back since but I’d like to go back to try some specialty rolls and give it a real sushi test.

I didn’t like the food. The pork donburi had a very mushy pork tonkatsu. Tonkatsu sauce wasn’t good at all. Meat to rice ratio is 1:5 which means the bowl is almost just rice. The chicken teriyaki had the same amount of chicken. Just a bad experience and wouldn’t come back.

I stooped in to get a quick bite before going on an interview. It was just OK. I got the teriyaki. I would give a second try to see how the sushi measures up. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

I have been here for lunch and also carry out a few times. The staff were very friendly. I’ve only ordered Thai food so far. I’ve ordered Panida Basil(Kapow) and Panang Curry. Both were good and full of flavors.(Note: The Panang Curry was spicier and more liquid-y than Thai Farm. The portion is smaller than Thai Farm, but it’s also $ 1 cheaper.)

This place is pretty good. When you first walk in it seems like one of those super basic carry out Asian food place. However, upon ordering, the food was good and the presentation on point for a chill place like this. Service was also great, the server was friendly and attentive.

We stopped there for dinner. Busy, the hostess told us to pick a table. They were all dirty, despite we were the only one to dine in. I had to clean the table myself. My girlfriend had to grab menus, water and bring back our order to the register. It took 35 min to get miso soups. After 40 minutes, I had to check on the status of our order, while I was asking for paper towels. Our food finally arrived, 50 min later, and of course, they messed up the order. In term of food, I would NOT recommend the miso soup, which is apparently served cold at this location. Edamame is definitely NOT to recommend: it was soft and mushy, like if it was cooked and microwaved afterward. We ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon and crispy yellowtail rolls. The rolls were ok but comparable to grocery pick up food. If you feel like spending lots of money, the salmon sashimi was good. However at $ 5⁄2 pieces, it will be an expensive dinner if only ordering this. If you think about doing pick up order, I would also suggest going somewhere else. The guy in front of me at the register had to wait for an hour at the restaurant after placing a pick up order 30 minutes before getting there… If you are in Rockville and want sushi, I would recommend Damo or a short drive up to Yuraku. Never going back to this place, EVER!

Went to check it out after seeing this pop up in my Instagram feed. Checked in on Unilocal to get a free Thai Iced Tea! Server was nice and friendly, however, a bit distracted and forgot our drinks. Also made it a bit more like self service. Had the seaweed salad. The sauce was overly sweet and the seaweed was swimming in it. Tried the Fantastic Roll. The pieces are bigger than one bite and fell apart if you opted to bite it in half. This roll looks nice but the inside filling was incredibly salty. We left half the roll on the plate. We had the seared salmon belly sashimi. This was yummy. Presentation was very pretty. Best plate was the Thai basil fried rice. Large portion that we shared. Just the right spicy heat and flavor. If we go back, i think we’ll skip the sushi side and go for the Thai dishes.

We dined in. In the half hour that I waited for my darn miso soup I served my boyfriend and I the water, the menus(I also went up to the register to place the order), the plates, the silverware… I also reminded the staff about every single item that we ordered. At forty minutes we finally had all of the sushi we ordered — the order came out wrong — and still no edamame. Perhaps carryout is better? NO. Probably not. There were 3 – 4 people waiting for their carryout during that half hour, 1 of which had been there before we even placed our orders. And NO, the food was not worth the wait. The spicy sushi roll was weirdly dry. The edamame felt like it’d been microwaved, and the roll that they mistakenly gave us was… it was… ugh, makes me shudder just thinking about it, so slimy… yuck. STAYAWAY. Not worth the trouble and the wait.

Holy delicious, Batman! Just had lunch delivered. The panang curry with shrimp was very tasty with a healthy spice to it, so healthy in fact that my Thai iced tea was just about a necessity! When I order the panang again I’ll probably try it with chicken since I think it might hold layers of flavor better than the shrimp. If you’re not a fan of heat, be sure to ask them to tone it down a bit. The basil fried rice was perfection! All basil all day, with the perfect about of peppery spice. This is definitely my new favorite dish! On top of delicious and very reasonably priced food, the staff here is delightful. From the woman who took my order to the delivery person, everyone was friendly and a pleasure to do business with. I’ll definitely order again!

I’ve been here a couple of times and one thing which has consistently stood out is the quality of service and friendliness of the staff. Another thing that I noticed today, which is really big in my book is the cleanliness of the establishment’s bathroom. This place has the cleanest and most inviting bathroom I’ve seen in a long time! As for the food quality/prices, it’s been a pretty solid experience, but not necessarily something which would make me go out of my way to come here… Then again, I haven’t tried enough items off the menu to get hooked :)

A nice little neighborhood gem with surprisingly authentic Thai cooking and creative sushi menu. The presentation of various dishes is above expectation of a small restaurant. Don’t let the name nor storefront façade fool you. This place can outdo any Thai or Japanese restaurants on the Pike.

This restaurant sits on the corner of a small shopping center and has both sushi and Thai food. There is limited seating in booths on the left side and then a number of stools by the right side of the entire window. I placed a lunch order online for a seafood salad and stir fried spicy garlic sauce with chicken. I thought the portion sizes were a little on the small side but made up for it in flavor. I loved the seafood salad with the shrimp, squid and scallops. It had the perfect amount of fish sauce, wish there was a little more greens. The spicy garlic chicken had great flavor and the chicken was tender. It comes with white rice, just wish the portion size was a bit larger. Checked in on Unilocal and got a free Thai iced tea.

This place is soo good. First off they had great customer service, the girl who was helping me was great and helpful, since it was my first time. Then the menu had really great choices, your basic Japanese dishes and Thai dishes. The price was great I had the pineapple fried rice and it was 8.99 without tax and the plate was huge! Definitely coming here again.

This evening I was feeling super lazy, so I decided to order delivery from Panida through Eat24. I was a little annoyed by the $ 20 minimum, but I managed to meet it. I ordered massaman curry, pad thai, and spring rolls. All ridiculously delicious! The spring rolls were what you’d expect, but the massaman and pad thai had great flavor. And I was happy that the app allowed me to confirm the level of spiciness, type of meat, etc. for each dish. Plus the food showed up half an hour earlier than expected. I will definitely be ordering from this place again!

It seems almost unfair for Panida to be in this location… So hard to notice, but such a treasure when you find it! This is may be my favorite place for Thai food! My family and I tried an array of items from their menu. Every. single. one. of. us. was pleased with our meal! – even my mom who always has something to complain about whenever we eat out hahah ;) You bet she didn’t have anything to say… Her mouth was too full and busy eating that yummy goodness. Service was friendly and quick. Even came here the following day to take out, and ahh! Still SOGOOD. Their sushi is amazing too, and I cannot get enough of their thai iced tea(only thing stopping me is my wallet – almost $ 4 for a small glass, yikes!) Don’t let their location and small space fool you… This place has some of the best food and I’m glad it’s in Rockville.

Well… I had a lot to say about this place about 45 minutes ago… But then the food came… Now I’m stuffed and I’m having a hard time forming sentences, much less staying awake. So I’ll keep it simple… I can only speak on what I’ve personally ordered… But what I have was amazing! Green and Panang curry with some basil fried rice? It was beyond excellent. Literally… Good to the last drop. Thai tea was perfect. The first time I had the Panang curry? I enjoyed it so much I was getting it again for dinner the very next day. Not looking forward to going back home and craving this again, because my local Thai isn’t even close to this good. Delivered my food quickly and kindly with great service — as far as my experience? I don’t get anymore satisfied with delivery than I am right now! Thanks a bunch, Panida!

If you live in/around the Shady Grove Rockville/Gaithersburg area, I highly recommend ordering delivery from here. They are a much better Thai/Sushi restaurant than others in the area, and they are very prompt.

Tonight I used GrubHub to order delivery and I chose Panida. There was a $ 25 minimum for delivery but I managed… and I did not even order sushi. Next time! I was going to order the crispy tofu for $ 4 but I switched to a salad to make the minimum. The Num Tok Salad for $ 6 was pretty spicy(I am a spice-wuss!) There was marinated steak on top of sliced red onions, cucumbers and lettuce. The fresh lime dressing was very flavorful for a medium spicy dish. There were 5 chunks of steak on this small starter salad. The Salmon teriyaki were three thin slices of crispy grilled salmon. It looked dry but was still moist. The teriyaki sauce was on the bed of rice so you might want to ask for it on the side. The steamed veggies were a handful of carrot sticks, broccoli and green beans. Maybe ¼ cup serving… wish there had been more but they were more raw and crunchy than steamed. $ 11. The Green Curry with chicken was very flavorful. There was spice and it was cut by the coconut milk. This was served with a generous bowl of white rice. The curry had more veggies than chicken but I did not mind. There were 3 chunks of eggplant but a decent amount of bamboo shoots and green beans. For $ 9 this could be a filling entrée for one if you also have an appetizer. Delivery was quick(much less than the 45 minutes I was quoted) and friendly. With tax and tip, I spent $ 31. The food was hot and fresh. I will definitely be back… maybe even in person!

Came here at 11:30am on a Sunday. There was no one here yet. Sweet! We got seated right away and ordered. We got the Pad See Ew. the sashimi special, california roll with real crab meat, shrimp tempura roll, and the spider roll. The pad see ew came out pretty fast. So our toddler was able to start eating pretty soon after we ordered, which was good because she is not very patient when it comes to food. Hehe. But we felt like we waited forever for the sushi to come. We didn’t really know what was going on because we literally were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe they had to go orders that they were taking care of first? Anyway, we finally got our sushi order(our daughter was almost done with the pad see ew by that time…). The california roll with real crab meat tasted a little weird to me. A little fishy I think if you ask me. I only ate 2 pieces of the roll. The shrimp tempura roll was pretty good. As well as the spider roll. They sort of tasted the same. The sashimi special was ok. The salmon tasted fresh. The tuna seemed a little less fresh than the salmon but was still ok. The white tuna was good though. When we ordered, we asked if we could replace the yellowtail with salmon and they said sure but it’ll be an extra $ 2. Don’t know if that’s normal or not. But yeah. Anyway, I think this place was ok. I feel like we may come back if we are in the area. But otherwise, will probably opt for the sushi place nearer our house.
