Unfortunately, Pitchfork is no longer in business. A for lease sign is visible on the front door. This location has seen at least four restaurants come and go.

This has turned into a great watering hole for me. It isn’t much in terms of ambiance but the manager/bartender Jay is just what every small neighborhood pub needs. Friendly and always so welcoming. Every time I go, I meet someone new who also loves the place. The menu is limited but the burgers and the wings are great. And, before the end of the month — they are adding desserts to the menu!

I love burgers. I mean, I REALLY love burgers. My standards are high. This place is better than Ray’s. I’m serious. I tried the original burger, brioche bun, applewood bacon and thick cut cheddar cheese.. And most importantly, the meat = WHAM. I am on a diet and this place is WORTH the splurge. Also: Mac and cheese. DELICIOUS. homemade w/gruyère, aged swiss and aged cheddar.

Recently moved to King Farm and was excited to try Pitchfork especially since it’s been on my list for some time now. I wasn’t impressed with their happy hour and fried pickles. Bleh. However, since I live blocks away, I will be back to try their burgers/sandwiches probably on a Wednesday(ladies night) or Saturday(free dog treats). At 5:30pm on a Friday, there was only one other table that was occupied(maybe since it was Thanksgiving weekend?). We chose to sit at the bar since we were only there for some dranks and an appeteaser. Decided on my standard cranberry vodka since the options on tap(I believe there were 4) didn’t interest me. My drank was strong… yay! For the teaser we ordered the fried pickles with aioli sauce. The pickles seemed like they were unevenly cooked as some were burnt and some weren’t. The aioli sauce was non-existent and almost seemed like powder sprinkled on the fried pickles. So, I asked for a side of the sauce. It was runny and watery. No wonder why it looked funky! Definitely didn’t have that creamy texture that I like. Service was standard. Employees here seem to play multiple roles. The hostess also served as a server/bartender and the bartender also served as a server/possibly a cook as well? They are under new management and now serve Chicken Out food items, which I don’t completely understand. Do they have Chicken Out recipes or does Chicken Out deliver food to them daily? I guess I’ll find out next time around. Hopefully their other food are better than the fried pickles!

I love the new Pitchfork! They now have Beer Pong on Fridays and a DJ too starting at 9 pm. Since they changed ownership and management, they now serve food from Chicken Out and ITIS Soooo Good! I had the Chicken Caesar Salad wrap and it was awesome, also their new sweet potato fries are just what I expected, delicious and crispy.

Sadly, this place has gone downhill from when they first opened. This past spring, their food was a very high quality — from the vegetables to the meats and the buns. We just came back from dinner after not going there this summer and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. My daughter ordered the chicken fingers and what she got could not be considered chicken fingers. Along with her fries, she received a few strips of shriveled pieces of chicken that were no bigger than the fries. Instead of breading, the«chicken fingers» were covered in what appeared to be Old Bay or something like it. I ordered my usual — the veggie burger. Very disappointed. It felt skimpy — before, there was a nice big piece of eggplant. Now, if eggplant was on my sandwich it was extremely tiny and hardlly noticeable. They changed the bun as well — now my sandwich was on a cheap sesame bun. My husband also noticed the decline in his grilled chicken sandwich as did my other daughter. She ordered the sliders and they were no where near as tasty as they used to be. Pitchfork needs to go back to the high quality food they were offering when they first opened. If they don’t, they won’t be able to survive.

I have to update my review. After the management change, and the shoddy way the guy who created the concept was treated, this place has gone downhill. The food and service are both down. I, unfortunately, cannot recommend this place anymore! My original review is still attached here, just to show how disappointed I am in this place. Love this place. The burgers here are some of the best in the area. And the cocktails are great. Made from scratch, and not with mixes. The food is really quite good. I, for one, think that the limited menu is a good thing. Do a few things but do them great. The staff are great and the owner/manager, Arun, a very good host. This is a great addition to the local food scene in Rockville and Gaithersburg.

Had a delicious lunch with colleagues today at Pitchfork Pub! I had the«Slider’s Trio» with fries — each«slider» was uniquely delicious. The fries were a perfectly prepared accompaniment. My lunchmates had the Chicken Breast sandwich and the others had the BLTLDT — the sandwichs were robust and hearty! We loved the menu and especially the fact there’s plenty of selections but not overwhelming — thank you! While there, observed a calendar itinerary of differently themed Happy Hour’s each night of the week and live entertainment several of those nights.

OK. About it. Beer menu is fairly limited. The wheat beer was ok. A group of four of us got Fries and rings– Rings were ok but didnt like how the french fries were fried. Wings– ok wings, nothing too special. I’ll probably be back but I hope they add some more variety to the appetizers and much more beer. Its not great yet but I hope it will be

Sadly, the quality of the food has gone downhill. The onion rings, which would hold their crisp factor overnight in the fridge, now are soggy from the beginning. The mozzarella and watermelon salad has changed as well. They used to use bocconcini(sp?) sized mozzarella balls, now they use something half the size. The real kicker is what happened to the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese from before was so creamy and cheesy. Now, they don’t even do a roux. It literally looks like they threw together the noodles with some butter and cheese. It’s obvious that they aren’t making it using a roux anymore. Sad. IDK if we’ll be going back… not any time soon, anyway. I noticed things have gone south ever since the restaurant went through a management change. Maybe we will give them a few weeks to get their shit straight, but things just aren’t the same anymore. We used to eat in/carry out at least 3 times a week. Yeah, it was that good lol. I will give them a try again in a month. I hope to update y’all with a much better review!

Went to lunch with a friend to this place yesterday. Besides us, there was one other customer and 2 waitresses. Before entering the restaurant, we reviewed the menu and decided that the grilled chicken salad with cherry tomatoes, bacon ladon, and honey mustard vinaigrette sounded good so we entered. We were greeted by waitress number one. We asked her, «what is bacon ladon?» She did not know. She sent a guy to our table to explain.(«it is crumbled bacon bits,» he said) Here is why we will not dine here again: 1. When we received the water with lemon, the lemons were brown and dried out as if they had been pulled from the previous night’s bar supply. 2. When we received the grilled chicken salad, it was a salad with greens, chicken, and balsamic dressing.(not what we ordered) 3. We let waitress number 2 know that the menu says this salad comes with tomatoes. She goes to check the menu(which only has about 10 items). She goes to the kitchen and brings back a bowl of cold tomatoes. 4. We asked her«where are the bacon bits?» She said that it is in there. We said look at the salad, it is not there. Then she tried to talk her way out of it and say that the bacon is part of the dressing or something like that. We reminded her that we asked the question and the guy they sent over to answer said that it had bacon bits. She goes to the kitchen and returns with 3 strips of bacon. 5. I ask her about the honey mustard dressing because it was balsamic that was on the salad. She tried to talk her way out of it again as if I was wrong. There is a big difference between honey mustard and balsamic vinaigrette. 6. I told her that I would just eat what they brought because at that point I was tired and for a lunch hour who has time to deal with this. As I started into the salad I noticed that several pieces of lettuce were slimy as if they had sat in the fridge for too long. 7. The waitress never seemed to admit mistake and try to compensate. The right thing to do on the first offense would have been to say«Mam you are right, I can make you a new one.» 8. The salad was $ 12. 9. Before we left, she said«glad you liked what you got.» Am I missing something here?

I went here last night with my fiancé and his family. His family had been here once before and the server remembered them, which was impressive off the bat. The restaurant isn’t very big, but it’s very clean, with granite bar counter top, lots of natural light, and a lovely contemporary feel. They have one TV at the bar(really I don’t think this place could support more than one), but would be a nice place to go to with a couple of friends to watch a Caps playoff game. The server was friendly and polite. The food is really quite fantastic. The menu is limited, which was fitting for the size of the restaurant, but also allows each item to really shine. I ordered the veggie sandwich with macaroni and cheese($ 2 upcharge from getting french fries, but soooo delicious and a generous portion for a side dish). The veggie sandwich was very good; it had peppers, eggplant, and portobello mushroom and probably other things that I can’t remember. It was very juicy and slightly messy since everything was fresh. My fiancé order a slider special where he got to try three of the normal sized burgers in petite form. He also requested macaroni and cheese, but the order came out with fries. The server was happy to accommodate his mac&cheese request and it came out relatively quickly. Anyway, this was a plus for me, because I got to try the otherwise unordered french fries… and they were just delightful. They tasted fresh and potato-ey… not really sure how else to describe it, but they really were good! I would definitely come back here again.

They’re new and they haven’t changed the«Yum Burger» signage so don’t let that confuse you like it did to me. This corner gastropub concept is contemporary and airy in décor. I see a lot of appeal for this spot to be a great local hang out. They have a good selection of craft beers on tap and in bottles. The triple slider special is a great sampler to the menu fares. I like the ‘southern heat’ burger the best. It had the most flavor and spicy kick. The ‘reuben’ burger is a nice take on the reuben sandwich and the ‘classic’ burger is a well made burger with a good mix of cheese and toppings. The brussel sprouts appetizer is pretty good and the mac and cheese is decent. Overall, there’s a lot to like about the venue and if you’re local, it’s likely to become your goto spot for a bite and drinks.

Amazing! Best burgers in the area — hands down! Yes, even better than the turkey burgers at Tap Room and Chef Geoff’s burgers. And if burgers aren’t your thing(or even if they are) you must try the mac and cheese! Its unbelievable! Bar tender is also awesome. Some very yummy drink combos. Try their take on a long island iced tea. I will definitely be back!

Living in King Farm, we’ve always yearned for a place like this… Finally! Pitchfork has great craft beers(Tonight, Sam Adams Seasonal, Flying Dog Raging Bitch, Dog Fish 60 minute, Fat Tire Amber) and great food. The sliders/burgers are very very good and they are working on grinding their own meat so that it’s okay to order medium rare! Once that happens… five stars! Brussel sprouts were very flavorful and nicely al dente(not overcooked!). Mac and Cheese was very creamy and satisfying. Open late on Friday and Saturday! Nicole was a great bartender and Arun, the owner, is very attentive and hospitable.

Amazing burgers and barkeep Nicole… enough said. LOOK at the pics of the trio of sliders… makes your mouth water huh? Yeah…I dug into dose. $ 12 I believe. Amazing buns and patties… one of the best if not the best… burger meals I’ve had. Packed place and great atmosphere… I’ll be back again and again. Kept my review short and sweet like Nicole… NOSLEEP til Brooklyn!!!

Looking for great American food in the DMV? look no more Pitchfork pub has all the classics with a 5 star spin on it. First off, let me start off by saying their burgers are some of the best burgers I personally have had in the DMV. The quality and carefully guarded secret of one of their signature burgers the Ruben Burger has to be one of the most tasting burgers. When the server asks you how you want the burger cooked, you ACTUALLY get it. The meat is sUper fresh and the patties are surprisingly. Ever had onion rings where you take a bite out of it and the whole onion comes out with it and your left with the shell??? At that point your like what the hell am I supposed to do with this… Not at Pitchfork. Their Fries and Rings platter is amazing with a garlic sauce and chipotle sauce to accompany the pair. Take a bite out of the ring and be surprised. Trust me. The rings are fried and then baked to give it the crunchy bite and giving extra grip to the onion to hold on the baked wall. The Drink specials are wonderful as is the service and how late they stay open. I would strongly suggest that you give this place a shot. If your a foodie and like trying new places, I think you will like Pitchfork. Kind Regards, Raj

Went in for lunch with friends. Waiter was very nosy, stood around while we ate. Kept asking us questions. Menu very small and limited. Food was ok.
