This place is very yummy! We shared a large tom yum soup with chicken and fresh summer rolls. The soup was flavorful but I did wish it came with more chicken and veggies. The summer rolls were good but different in taste than vietnamese summer rolls. I think I prefer the viet ingredients We then ordered a basil fried rice and beef pad thai. The fried rice was huge and VERY good. Just the right amount of spice! Order the thai tea because they make the straw covers into the cutest rose! Service was excellent and the décor made the café super enjoyable.

Stopped in the other day on a recommendation from a friend. This place is nice and clean and we all ordered a bunch of different dishes. All cooked to perfection. I would deff return

I came here with a group of people who knew exactly what to order. I felt this place was really good and one of the better Thai places in the Hartford area. That said, I wish I tried more of the classic Thai restaurant food(pad thai/pad see ew). The lady next to us also ordered this big bowl of curry/soup, which looked pretty good. Normally, I would go into more detail about what I ordered, but since I didn’t place the order here, my memory of what we actually got is kinda fuzzy. I remember some fried rice, a pork mix that was for a lettuce wrap, some crispy pad thai, papaya salad… and that’s about it. The papaya salad was the only one that stood out to me and I remember it being very delicious. Overall, I thought the food taste was definitely there and the service was pretty good, even for a table of 6. I would definitely consider going back again.

I have been going to this Thai place for a few years now and I must say they are consistent. The location is way to get to, lots of parking and plenty of seating. Their curry section isn’t as large as some other Thai places but for the basic Thai food it’s good. I really enjoy their tom yum soup, it’s one of my favorites. The proportions are a really healthy size good for left overs!

Very happy overall. Had dinner and a couple apps, and everything was hot and fresh. The staff was very attentive, it was nice and clean on the inside(not what you’d expect from the outside since it is in a strip mall), and I left full. Also has a huge parking lot for those who like to park far away and walk, like I often do. It was nice to see some dishes that arent on the menu in every Thai restaurant. We will definitely be back when in the area again… and probably back when we’re not!

First we noticed that Puket Café was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Second we noticed that the restaurant’s interior is gorgeous. Third we noticed that the servers were incredibly nice & sweet & polite. Fourth we noticed that the menus is pretty darned big. And fifth we noticed that the food was outstanding. We were extremely impressed by out first visit to the Puket Café. We started off with two soups –a Tom Kha with shrimp for me($ 5) and a Dumpling soup for my wife($ 4). My soup was so good– beautiful coconut flavor with chunks of tomato and mushroom with two plump shrimps. My wife’s dumpling soup looked jam packed with(looked like four?) big dumplings. We split an order of spring rolls– 4 small ones with a dipping sauce for $ 5. They were very«non –greasy», but didnt have a lot of flavor. My entrée was Chicken Madness($ 15) — a beauty of a dish with ground chicken, sliced green beans, diced eggplant, and basil served with a big scoop of jasmine rice. It was absolutely great– sneaky hot with great flavor from the chicken, basil, and that sly sauce that starts out as mild then rushes at you big time. I didnt try the Pad Thai– but it was a good sized portion that looked great. Bottom line? For $ 44 we had a great meal and took home half of our entrees for a nice weekend lunch. The food was great, the dining room was very pretty and the service was impeccable. We are officially fans of Puket Café II.

Stopped in for lunch takeout today and got the pad thai with crispy shrimp. The pictures of it on here looked amazing. However, after tasting it, I have to say that I am rather letdown. Aside from the shrimp skewers which were excellent and perfectly cooked, the flagship pad thai dish was entirely flat and one dimensional. While the sauce overwhelmed every other flavor, there was an occasional bite of chopped peanut or scallion that elevated the dish’s flavor and texture for a small glimmer of time. In addition, there were strings of burnt egg tethered to starchy bundles of pasta that made this slightly impossible to eat with a bendy plastic fork. While I am sure I will return to try other items on the menu, I’ll never order the pad thai again.
