Say a taco stand in Rohnert Park, outside of a taqueria. Ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 1 el pastor taco. Delicious!

I agree, this is some of the best Mexican food in the North. everything I’ve tried is super tasty and very authentic. I especially dig the tacos — the carne asada tacos are made with really good quality meat and the fish tacos are divine. the carnitas chimichanga is pretty good and the chicken burrito is also really yummy and gigantic. Prices are cheap, service is fast and this very quickly became my go to Mexican comfort food place. In fact, I think I’ll go there right now.

I go to El Paisa all the time. It’s hands down the best Mexican Restaurant in Rohnert Park/Cotati. I usually get just a regular burrito with chicken and its heavenly. Everything here is pretty spicy which is something I love but it might be too much for some people. The only bad thing about this place is that the service is really bad. The people taking your orders are usually pretty rude or quiet, but the food is so good that I don’t even care. Thankfully, I speak Spanish so it’s pretty easy for me to communicate with everyone that works there, but for someone who doesn’t, it could be a real challenge. Overall, this place has such amazing food that I completely overlook any of the downfalls of coming here.

Man oh man I wanted to write a good review for this place. This place is literally right across the street from my house and I was hoping and praying I would love it. Well guess what, I loved the food! The food was amazing. But that’s about it. Let’s start off by saying I don’t speak Spanish.(though I think the language, culture and food are beautiful) NOT A SINGLEPERSONTHERESPEAKSENGLISH. And I guess that’s not so bad, except that the woman taking my order AND the chef behind her seemed VERY annoyed that I didn’t speak Spanish. In fact at one point, I’m pretty sure they were speaking to each other in Spanish right in front of me «about» how annoying it was. Talk about uncomfortable. I asked easy questions like«Is the red sauce or the green sauce less spicey?» The answer«yes.» I said«How long do you think this order will take?» Her answer«yes.» I asked if I should wait inside or outside?” Her answer… wait for it… «yes.» UGH. So annoying. I ended up just pointing at things on the menu. Paid. Ate. Food was delicious. I’ll never be back.

Food is not so great, consistency is awful. I have tried to give this place many chances but I just can’t anymore. The last time I had it I got food poisoning, won’t be here again.

Good place to get a grub! Live right down in the area, And became a regular. Only order the steak super burrito. Wasn’t to fond of the chicken, due to being a tiny bit dry. But the steak is off the hook! Also They have 2 phone numbers, make sure to call the 992 number, the other one does not go through to the restaurant so heads up for those who want to order ahead of time. Deff recommend coming here.

Living in southern california you get spoiled with good tacos and mexican food. I finally found an authentic taco place. So yummy. The outside truck has a better flavor but the inside restaurant are pretty good to.

Worst burrito I’ve ever had, completely messed up both of our orders too. Charged me for guacamole and didn’t put any in. Very unsanitary place

Paisa is easily one of my favorite taquerias. My 1 issue with this place is inconsistency. They have different cooks on different days and it makes a huge difference. I only stop by when I see the skinny lady with the bandana. She knows how to make a bomb burrito! If all the cooks could get her ratios down, Id probably eat there everyday!

Went for breakfast and it was horrible. Gave them a second chance for dinner a week later, and still gross. Literally every other bite of my chicken burrito had a little bone in it. The breakfast burrito I had a week ago was just disgusting. Maybe I’m too Caucasian to enjoy this place? Very friendly staff.

on our way home from a weekend on the coast, I wanted tacos and this hit the spot! So delish and great family style restaurant. Nothing overly fancy so don’t expect bells and whistles.

I have been here about six times and I always order my fave of all Mexican foods, the camarones a la diabla. Their food is delish but overly priced for the portions. I get about four or five shrimp Everytime I come and at others places I get about twelve to fifteen for the same price. I also am totally against paying $ 2 for a can of soda. It is also not the cleanliest place, flies everywhere and the don’t clean the tables well. For cleanliness and service, I’d give this a one star. For food, I’d give it a four star. So I guess this place deserve a three.

I really like this place, I stumbled upon randomly in Cotati. OK its not random — I have a built in radar for this kind of stuff, I am drawn to good food. I hone in and strike. This was no mistake, I’ve been twice. Tacos Al Vapor, — cheap and tasty just get down on this and order six. I had a Chimichanga style Burrito Mojado on the second visit — whoa good. Now they didn’t fry the burrito skin, but that’s okay they drizzled a huge amount of cheese sauce on top, red and green salsa and crema to make a Mexican Flag — with cheese. Freaking stunning. I devoured it. And I got a suadero burrito to go, eating it now as i write this message to you. Get thee to El Paisa and get you some Mexican Country Cookin! p. s. There is an outdoor taco grill and great horchata to boot.

This is a small mexican restaurant in between the Valero and a liquor store on southwest. That along with a recommendation from a friend is exactly the reason I decided to try this place. In short, after having been there a couple times now, i can say that this place is pretty good if you are looking for a big tasty burrito. The atmosphere is comfortable and fitting. They have a bar with all your favorite mexican beers(plus one i’ve never heard of) and do a happy hour every weekday with cheaper food and beer.(dollar tacos, 4.50 burritos or nachos). I really enjoy their veggie burrito. Unlike most places, they charge you the same price for a veggie burrito as they do for a super burrito with meat.(6.50) This is because they give you all the super burrito ingrediants, and replace the meat with grilled veggies. Fantastic. I was trying out vegetarian for a while, and now that i’m off it, I’m still more inclined to get the veggie burrito. I got a rice and beans plate with three tacos(2 steak, 1 chicken) the other day. The beans were pretty standard refried, and the rice was bland. The tacos were delicious despite one of the steak ones having a bit too much grizzle. The chips are good and the salsas are opposite: the green is very mild, and the red is pepper spicy. The staff are friendly and can help you choose if you don’t know what to get. Also the locals come here, which is always a good sign to me. I don’t have too many cons about this place other than the lackluster beans and rice. If you’ve tried sol azteca and el rancho and you still aren’t satisfied, i suggest you give this place a try.

If I could split this review by the taco stand in the front of the building and the restaurant inside I would. The guys out front who run the taco stand part are funny, and awesome, and the tacos are incredible. I have stopped here several times and gotten chicken or carne tacos to go, and have loved them. They are cheap $ 1.99 each. and tasty. Sometimes the guys are out there with a hand churn ice cream maker making black walnut ice cream, and if you are lucky enough to get there on one of those days, you should totally have some. Now the restaurant inside, isn’t my favorite. The chips are kinda stale tasting, and the salsa are overly salty. We popped in for cinco de mayo and it was fairly empty. Had the beef tongue, cabeza, and chorrizo tacos. They were out of the birra. The tongue was good. the cabeza was a little too spongy for my liking(I like cabeza tacos, just not these) also the salsa that they put on the cabeza tacos really detracted from the dish, and made them really soupy. The chorrizo tacos were delish. my favorite part of our meal. They also have oaxacan food, memelitas and tiayudas which I hav e come and gotten as take out and enjoyed in the past. Their breakfast burritos are cheap! $ 5.25 and huge. Great take out on the road to go items. service inside the restaurant is less friendly and prompt as the guys slinging tacos outside. final advice, bring some cash, and get some really good street tacos outside, and if you are lucky and they are making ice cream, get some dessert too.
