Food is okay. If you don’t like there sides they won’t let you trade for fruit or something else. I asked if they had a lacarte instead they said yes but then I was rung up for same price as full order. Weird and slow. Not really friendly and overpriced. If someone is allergic or doesn’t want the sides there should be some flexibility. And sloooooow to get food.

Went there on a suggestion of a friend that lives up that way. Waiting in line for 10 minutes, then waiting 26 minutes for an omelette that was nothing special is unacceptable. When the place is busy they need more than one cashier… I’ll give it one more shot

Meh. Stars are mostly for the ambiance and décor. Food was something I would not go back to enjoy. Eggs were waxy and the cheese in my omelette was not melted.

I really love the food here. Fresh and great. I think, pay only complain would be very tight seating. Making it a little awkward…

Get the dressing on the side. Unless you like your salad drenched in it. Other than that, pretty great. Love the breakfast plates. Desserts are great. Coffee and lattes are excellent.

I went to this place last weekend, it is nothing special at all. I ordered a mango smoothie it was $ 6, it was nothing special and really small. My friends had coffee and some sweets said it was alright. The location is good and nice décor, I don’t think I will be back though.

I understand poor service is a Paris trademark, but that is not the vibe you want to import here. The Yellow Vase, all of them at times but RHE today is a chaotic mess. Server, non English speaking self involved dolt. Dirty tables, no silverware, no service after the meal showed up. She should be let go before more damage is done. The stars are for the food. Good. Soup and huge salad. but it would have tasted better had we not had horrible service.

Came here for Sunday breakfast with my family, but wouldn’t return. Cute café with a fountain outside and both indoor and outdoor seating. Yes, the prices are high but we don’t mind paying as long as the food’s good. But the food and service were both really, really lacking. My mom paid $ 11 for a Belgian waffle that was nothing like a Belgian waffle should be. It was dense and already soggy from the mountain of whipped cream when we got it. My dad got the Sunshine Panini which turned out to be literally two pieces of bread with a layer of scrambled egg and avocados. No sauce or veggies, and I don’t even think the bread was toasted let alone grilled like a panini. My sister got the BLT Panini that was saved by the greasiness from the bacon. I got the Eggs Benedict crêpe, which I regretted as soon as I saw the eggs which had already burst on my crêpe. Oh and you order the food at the counter when you walk in. There’s only one waitress/order receiver/coffee maker so it takes you a while to get her attention. At least the water was nice.

Love the food even though it’s overpriced. Just called to place an order and instead of it taking a minute to do, it took a good 5 minutes because whoever picked up doesn’t understand how to work a phone. Ridiculous.

Yellow Vase is quickly becoming one of my mothers favourite cafes. They offer an amazing selection of brunch type food, and they have amazing interior décor. Yellow Vase has both inside and outside sitting, with a few small tables on the outside, accompanied by a water fountain and a yellow umbrella for each table. My favourite dish by them is their pesto panini, as the panini itself is rich in flavor. It comes with a side of potatoes and a salad(which isn’t mentioned on the menu). The potatoes are slightly harder and more crunchy than potatoes should be, and very bland. I usually dip the potatoes in my salad dressing to give them more flavor. Overall, I would recommend this as a place to go for a lazy Sunday brunch.

This is the 3rd and last time I will ever eat here. The food is «meh» and the plates and the place never feels clean. It’s soooo ordinary and way overpriced. But today my experience was bad bad bad. I wanted a simple breakfast — I asked for a single scrambled egg and some slices of fresh tomato on the side… I got a pathetic rubbery hard fried egg chopped up !!! White rubber and yellow rubber on my plate — I guess the chef mistakenly made a fried egg and then chopped it up thinking I was stupid or blind! $ 12 !!! And no apology. I’ve been making eggs since I was 8 years old and believe me this was no scrambled egg!!! Overpriced under whelming … I’m so done!

Love their salads, sandwiches, and pastry. I don’t really get the bad reviews. I work close by and been here many times. I have tried everything from breakfast to soups and salads and been pleasantly surprised every time. The staff has been very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast: meh, undercooked oatmeal for $ 8. Chorizo, chicken, and cheese scramble – how does one prepare that flavorless? Lunch: their strong point as far as I can tell. I’ve never had a bad lunch item here. Coffee drinks: good stuff with creative crema designs. The people: Grizelda is great and accommodating, the overall staff is pleasant and helpful. I added the third star just for service alone.

This place would be good if the staff was decent, the bland food wasn’t overpriced, and the décor didn’t look like it was from a Home Goods catalogue, besides that it’s great!

It could have quite possibly been the day we went but it was a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon and the place looked closed. Upon walking in you could tell that they had great intentions because they did a fabulous job with their décor and set up. We got seated immediately by the hostess who was nice enough. I think she was preoccupied. With what? It shouldn’t matter. Fake the greeting, fake the smiles, and deal with what you need to on your break. We were seated in a lovely booth that was within earshot of the kitchen. The server took entirely too long to just stop by for 15 seconds and say hello. She only had two tables of two. She spent quite a while with those two tables that seemed like regulars which blew my mind because I don’t understand why she was seemingly blowing off a much larger party. People at my table were getting a bit irritated. You could sense it in their body language and the way they they kept looking up at her. I know she has the skill set to excuse herself from her regulars and greet her the new addition to her area. As I was looking at the menu waiting for a greeting and maybe some water nothing on it sounded exciting or stood out. Most restaurants do a great job making everything sound great and by the time your order needs to be taken, you’re even more hungry and debating between two or three dishes. That just wasn’t the case here at all. Nothing sounded inventive, creative, or different. Their menu is small and generic. This was simply over glorified diner food and unfortunately that’s an insult to a lot if the local diners. Finally my aunt asked an employee if we could please have some water and if he could ask someone to come over. I think a lot of us were hoping for some more delicious sounding specials. That dream was shot down quickly. She just walked up stated the obvious about her being our server and asked us if we were ready to order. I think she took our silence as a clear no and disappeared into time and space because it was another 30 minutes before she came back for drink orders. Nobody trusted that she would return after delivery of the beverages so we decided to order. I asked to order last and chose the«Californian Omelette» which came with potatoes and strangely a salad. Are sliced tomatoes too expensive? I have to be sarcastic sometimes, the dressing on the lettuce was really, really good! On the menu, your choices for food are french toast, sandwiches(cheap lunch meat), or omelets. I was really interested in hearing my groups opinions about the food. I knew they weren’t happy with the service already and were hoping the food would make up for it. The food came out extremely fast but when you look at the menu, they don’t have much to do to make these plates anyways. You could see the dissatisfaction on everyone’s faces once they came. There is no connection with the high end décor to the menu. There was a connection with the décor and the food… and those prices though. Those prices are absurdly ridiculous and at that point could be considered taking advantage but we could have left. You can’t forget that you’re paying to eat I’m PV. I’m sure everyone is more than happy to pay a higher price/premium on something if it had quality ingredients and flavor at the very least. The best word, well sound that I could come up with as a general consensus from the table about the food and experience was«meh.» I did hear great things about the coffee and I will admit it was quite good. There was no part of the 8 different orders that was great or memorable. The California Omelette was just not good. The lunch meat in it threw me off. For the price they could certainly afford to not use cheap, chemical laden lunch meat on the inside. The cheese that I asked them to omit from the meal was added and not even close to being melted. Their potatoes were cooked and seasoned well but but greasy. *I will say their bread is very good so they have that going for them if they decide to start over. If I ever have a desire to pay high prices for food that doesn’t even hit on the Richter scale of yum I’ll be the first one in line. I don’t like giving«poor» ratings at all but I couldn’t justify a better rating. Maybe in the way distant future I will give this place another shot.

Came here in the early morning after a spontaneous sleepover on my birthday the previous night to treat some good friends to breakfast! I ordered at the register, paid, and got all the drinks, then sat down to wait for the food to be delivered to the table. It was nice to be able to just sip and chat a bit before the meal. Espresso con Panna — Served in a demitasse with a cute little demitasse spoon. Price was a bit steep, but the espresso tasted good and was strong. There is also an option of self-serve iced lemon water in a spout dispenser. The Benedict Crepes, which are black forest ham-filled, topped with 2 over-easy eggs and hollandaise sauce, served with a side of baby greens and balsamic vinaigrette — When I first saw this plate, I just thought it looked so damn happy and yellow, with the yellow plate and yellow egg yolk peeking out from the yellow hollandaise sauce. Tasty too. I like hollandaise sauce, but don’t like it smothering the food, and thought that this was a good amount. Crepes stayed soft and pliable, didn’t harden like they do elsewhere. The tanginess of the crisp balsamic greens was a good complement to the more savory and creamy crepes and eggs, which were cooked just right.
