It’s ice cream. Can’t get it wrong. I also came here with 20 people and they were very efficient. There are chess and four squares games available for you to play while enjoying great icecream.

I’m a huge Oberweis fan! I’m addicted to their Frostbites! Way better than a McFlurry. This location is huge! Lots of dining space and nice workers. They never mess up my order and the ice cream is always delicious. Something nice about this location is they are open till 11:00 on Fridays, Saturdays. So you can come here for a dessert after dinner and not worry about it closing at 9 or 10. Besides this, there nothing much to say!

It’s ice cream. It’s Oberweis. Do I need to say anything else? Would I go back? Stop asking myself such stupid questions!

Was in the mood for some ice cream and was near Woodfield Mall. However, I didn’t want the usual make-it-yourself-pay-a-bit-too-much Frozen Yogurt. So off to Ben and Jerry’s. What? It’s gone?! Off to Unilocal: and yes, there’s premium ice cream near by: Oberweis! Politics aside, I do enjoy their dairy products. They have excellent milk, yogurt and of course ice cream. I was with some friends and they did a sundae, banana royale and frozen yogurt(can’t avoid it apparently). All were excellent. I have good friends, they share. Staff was very friendly and this location was in very good condition: clean and neat.

A lot of reviews seem to complain about service, but I didn’t have any problems in the drive through. The guy who took my order was polite when I asked a few questions and my chocolate peanut butter shake was yummy. It even came with a cute pirouette cookie which was a pleasant surprise. Also, the place really does smell amazing even from the drive through.

Woohoo. One of the best ice cream places around the Burbs. I like the idea of tables with chess boards, but they did not have as many games as the Randall Rd outlet. But service was really friendly.

My husband and I just got back from our first visit to an Oberweis Dairy. The staff at the Rolling Meadows location on Algonquin couldn’t have been friendlier! The girl who took our order was super sweet, the girl who delivered it to us was great, and another girl even came around to check if everyone was enjoying what they ordered. Which we were! YUM! The place was clean, and it was a perfect evening to eat outdoors. We will be back!

We got shortchanged today. Ordered a double-scoop and a single scoop. Both were delivered in a funnel-shaped glass cup. The single scoop portion is fine. The double-scoop, when we were about finishing the top scoop black cherry, we noticed the coffee«scoop» at the bottom was at best one-third scoop worth. My wife bought it to show the gal working at the counter(with some black cherry remaining still), but the gal talked to the guy did the original scooping saying«she is complaining», and simply dismissed our observation, saying they pressed down the first scoop really tight and it was indeed a full scoop. Their facial expression suggested we Asian customers(the popular Chef Ping Chinese Restaurant is next door) were only there trying to cause trouble or cheapskates. Advice to Oberwise customers: don’t order the double-scoop from this branch. Or make sure it is not in funnel-shaped glass cup, but in cone or paper cup. What a disappointment after dozens of happy experiences at various Oberweis branches in Western Chicago-land. We ended up purchasing our other Oberweis to-go stuff at another branch.

Disappointed. I had been craving the perfect chocolate shake for so long. So many places make them with vanilla ice cream and add chocolate syrup — NOT a true chocolate shake! I drove by here several nights in a row and finally decided to satiate my craving. I was sure a dairy would make it right and, for nearly $ 6, I surely expected perfection. Imagine my disappointment, then, when I walked out with a vanilla shake with chocolate syrup. I was so sad. $ 6 down the drain. I just threw it in the trash then went to Denny’s today for a REAL chocolate shake. No excuses, Oberweis!

Ice cream lacked a certain je né sais quoi — just didn’t do it for me. There’s ice cream that really hits the spot, some amazing combo of texture, flavor and presentation that does the trick and blows your mind. Then there’s ice cream that merely does the job as frozen milk. You can find that variety here. There were 4 of us ordering a wide variety of dishes — some banana splits, a sundae and a brownie with ice cream. I got to try several flavors and none of them were notable. The Vanilla was especially pallid. The brownie dish was plated oddly, the bowl was much too big for the contents. The service was friendly and the establishment was clean, but that’s about all I liked.

I went in for dessert with 3 other people. I specifically was looking for Apple Sin… I think that’s what it was called? Waffle bowl, apple cinnamon ice cream, and tons of caramel sauce. THEYDON’T HAVEITANYMORE!!! :’(What a disappointment… that was my favorite dessert here. That’s all I ever ordered, so when they told me they didn’t have it… I was kinda lost. Anyway, after staring at the menu for like 10 minutes… I settled for a scoop of their limited time pistachio ice cream and caramel sauce. Still good, but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I liked that it was super creamy, but not too sweet. It must’ve been really good tho because one of the people I came with bought a quart of it. Another person I came with got the peanut butter banana shake, which was also really good. The service here is really great. We came in kinda late(an hr before close), but everyone was still super nice and helpful.

Everything from Obwerweis is so rich and decadent. The delivery service was a big hit with our family growing up. Now we enjoy their delicious ice cream. This location has friendly staff and lots of open seating. Pricing is more than other ice cream shops, but you get what you pay for. Its worth every penny. Get a glass jug of chocolate milk to go!

Ice cream is always good but it smells funky inside like rotten dairy and the staff is inconsistent with high turnover you never know if you get polite service or those that blow through your order so they can get back to screwing around teen style.

The ice cream always tastes DELICIOUS. However, we have had several issues with the service and ability of the employees to correctly make our order. We often order frostbites with 2 mix-ins. However, we often get only one even while paying for two. Also, the mix-ins are never fully mixed into the ice cream and they are completely concentrated at the top. I complained about this a while back and was contacted back by Oberweis saying that they had put me on a «special list» to get our next product for free. However, the idea of going into a store and asking for a free product because our name is on the«complaint list» was not something my husband nor I were willing to do! A few weeks ago, I had a frostbite and found a bright red plastic piece of their blender in my ice cream. My husband brought it back to them tonight and the manager simply said«thank you.» No, «I’m sorry» or anything of the sort. If I were the manager, I’d be pretty embarrassed about this type of incident. We go here very often because the taste of the product is awesome. However, the customer service is lacking greatly!

Oberweis is delicious, but a bit expensive. It’s not the cleanest location and the bathroom doesn’t have a changing table. Considering the place is crawling w/young children and babies, I would think they should have one.

Very rich and delicious! The brandy flavor was delicious and decadent, really tasted like brandy without the alcoholic«blech» shiver. Yum yum! Got a free sample of their chocolate milk which is SUPER rich. A little on the pricey side when it comes to ice cream, but DEFINITELY worth it!

Unbelievable. Really, who would believe that I would give an Oberweis Dairy two Unilocal stars? Well, believe it because that’s all they’re getting. I’m skipping the long backstory of how I ended up here(for lunch…). But I drove up and there was one car ahead of me in the drive thru. Said person placed their order and drove up to the window. I drove to the menu board. There, I waited for a good two or three minutes without a greeting. I didn’t pay too much attention because that’s about the time that I realized Chef Ping is right next door! I sooo shoulda gone there, but I was running out of time. But shame on me because ice cream isn’t lunch and I was subsequently punished by the Oberweis gods that be. Any who, I placed my order. A peanut butter ice cream sundae. I waited for the person in front of me to leave and when they did, I drove up to the window. It was a less than cheerful sight. At any other Oberweis location, someone greets you, usually offers a sample and makes the process quick and painless. Here, I drove up and no one was there. I stared at the side of a refrigerator and a door for well over five minutes. I should have driven away. I don’t know why I didn’t. Finally, a gentleman arrives with my sundae. I ask him to look up my Moola Card. He does. I pay for my $ 7 «lunch» and I’m off. Well, I actually parked on the other side of the building to eat my ice cream sundae. Here’s some backstory… I’ve eaten this particular sundae many, many times. Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Schaumburg and Elmhurst all make it the same. Here, they gave me a waffle bowl in which the ice cream seemed to be missing! Really. The waffle bowl has some ice cream shavings, but mainly the frozen peanut butter ribbon pieces from the peanut butter chocolate ice cream. Then, the nice smooth peanut butter sauce was not nice or smooth. It was big blobs of cold peanut butter paste that hadn’t been warmed as it should have been. The only redeeming quality was that there were quite a few Reese’s PB cup pieces on top. But, this was not an ice cream sundae. It was extremely light and when the gentleman handed it to me, I should have realized something was not quite right. By the time that I figured it out, I needed to head out of the area to get back to work. Maybe some additional training would help here? I am guessing that he was working alone(which isn’t safe) and perhaps was overwhelmed by me and the car before me. There was no one parked in the main lot, so I really can’t explain things other than to guess that ice cream sundaes aren’t their specialty at this Oberweis location. Needless to say, I have no need to visit here again.

Oberweis has the best ice cream. Period. I’ve been eating here(at the original on Lake Street in Aurora) since I can remember. I always come to this location when I’m in town because it’s close to my sister’s house. She’s so lucky! I do agree that the service can be less than stellar, but the products make it worth the sacrifice. The food is a ten, so it would take appalling service to sway my adoration of this place. My favorite is the vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream. I even like the chocolate flavor(and I don’t even really like chocolate) and chocolate marshmallow. The peach is always good when in season. My only complaint is the chocolate chip cookie dough should be made with a vanilla base not the butter pecan-type base. Sorry — that’s just all kinds of wrong. And the sundaes are phenomenal. Yummy! When in IL I live for pizza and Oberweis :)
