Back Nine Restaurant & Sports Bar

I made my first visit with a group of 9 to stop for dinner this week after work for pizza, apps, and the full dinner menu including dessert. It was awesome from start to finish. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was outstanding. The pricing is what I expect for the quality and quantity of the meal and service we received. Two of us had the buffalo shrimp alfredo and it was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals as well and the desserts were delicious. It was tough to decide between the chocolate lava cake and the peanut butter pie, but the lava cake won out. Next trip it will be the peanut butter pie! Thank you Back Nine for a great night. I’ve always been afraid to visit this place because I missed the Colonial Inn so much. I’ve seen plenty of cars there during the week especially on the weekends, so I had my first visit Sunday evening.
As far as management goes, we had a very large party of about 45 people and everyone got their food in a relatively decent amount of time. The food was also pretty good especially if you like sandwiches or Neo-​Italian style fare.
The only thing that bothered me about this place was that a few items on their menu are only served on Fridays only. It was odd, especially considering that there are already menu items clearly labeled as Friday only specials. It’s a bit deceiving especially when you find something that really catches your eye. Otherwise, the food was pretty good, the atmosphere not bad, and I’ll probably go there again especially to try the surf and turf that I so longed for Sunday evening.
Also a quick note, the Jamaican jerk style wings are not Jamaican jerk style. It’s steak sauce and ketchup with some hot sauce to the mix.

overpriced drinks for the Rome area. Don’t be fooled this is mostly bar food and somewhat overpriced. Bartender needed some customer service skills, not friendly or welcoming. I would pass this one up, I will give it a year before it’s closed.

Wow! The décor and golf theme are great! Even if you’re not sports minded, the feeling inside is of laid-​back enjoyment. The Friday fish sandwich special is crazy big, and the fries were crisp and hot. Am looking forward to returning for a dinner. Prices were great for quality and quantity

I had the special — prime rib with greens — Wow it was the best prime rib ever and the greens seasoned with parmesan were amazing. Very friendly & fast service. Everyone at our table was happy with their meal.

Stay away. Overprice average food and apathetic wait staff. Food quality very poor. Owners should have invested in quality staff and not so much on the tv’s. Too many good local options to waste money at this place

Awful. 3 people in my party, 3 other tables in the restaurant, messed up two drinks and one entrée. Didn’t adjust the check at all. Service so slow it took an hour and a half to get our overpriced bill for two salads and a sandwich.

Great atmosphere, awesome bar and food. Tons of TVs. Try Chicken Riggies, garlic knots, greens, buffalo shrimp Alfredo, gnocchi is good, wings try medium or hot with barbecue sauce.
