Nothing beats fresh homemade pizza. This place has been open since 1977! Order the 16 inch thin crust plain pizza for only $ 11 with tax included and eat it while it’s hot! Trust me wait for the fresh one cause the taste is amazing. This is a cozy feel at home pizza spot where the staff is down to earth to grab a quick bite! It’s open late Tuesday through Sunday until 11:00 pm. This place also has awesome homemade Italian ice that is only available from May 1st until Labor Day! The ices are a must! They have a crazy list of flavors that can be mixed with soft serve to make a delicious parfait! I always came as kid and still do!

I moved here from Staten Island and I feel so grateful to have the best pizza in NJ right next door to me! I thought I would miss NYC pizza, but this place has saved me. During my first few months of living here, I didn’t know if Mimi’s was open or not. Every time I passed this little shack, the lights were off and nobody ever seemed to be inside. I thought maybe it was empty, abandoned. One day my boyfriend and I got really hungry for pizza. We google mapped the nearest pizzeria. It was Mimi’s. We placed our order over the phone and that evening we fell in love… with the food. Mimi’s is dirt cheap — only beat in price by 99 cent pizzerias in Manhattan. A plain slice here goes for $ 1.50. They don’t do salads or anything besides pizza, except in the summer, when they have ices for sale! Their ices are effing delicious and once again dirt cheap. If you want a medium, order a small. If you want a large, order a medium. They are very generous with their portion sizes. I’d recommend everyone try Mimi’s pizza, especially in the summer. Nothing is better than a plain slice and a cherry ice on a warm summer evening.

Love their pizza! I grew up down the street from Mimis & we always went there in the summer for Italian Ice, now I take my kids there for ice in the summers. It wasn’t until last year that I tried their pizza; I am so glad that we did too! Their pizza is so good! I was a little annoyed that I never tried it years go but better late than never I guess. Just an FYI, it’s cash only.

We had a very busy day and were very hungry. So I looked up on Unilocal and found this place with 4.5 stars. We ordered half pepperoni and half mushrooms. The place is only to go so we scarfed a piece each in the car. This is worthy of 5 stars! First off it’s hand tossed with a good corncione. No rolled pizza crust. The crust was perfectly cooked and had yummy cheese and toppings. Everything was perfect! We ordered a large and it was very inexpensive. The owner must have a low overhead from the look of the building but don’t let that stop you. NJ style pizza at its finest!!! The owner was very friendly and a totally cool guy. Highly Recommend and we’re picky with NJ pizza. Hubby’s grandfather had a pizza place to go which always had a line and sold out every night. This place is a total win!!! Unilocal Review #335

The pizza is great! Paul makes the best thin crust & double thick crust pizza. I love the pizza sauce, too. If you want great pizza, this is definitely the place. I highly recommend Mimi’s.

I love bringing the family to this corner shack for pizza and Italian ices. Note the Italian ices are seasonal(eg. summer), and once Labor Day comes, you will be more than likely out of luck in terms of getting Italian ice until next year. That being said, the guy who runs this is terrific, and last September I brought the kids in for pizza hoping to get Italian ices too, but he told me they close that on Labor Day. He then told me that they might have some still in the back and he got the kids some rainbow Ices, which was terrific! Pizza is good, thin crusted, well seasoned. Having grown up in the tristate are, and lived in NY and NJ, I’ve had a lot of NY/NJ pizza. It’s not gourmet. It’s a good pizza, made by good, nice people, and that works for me. They have two sizes of calzones, and the large one is large(essentially the size of a whole pizza folded over. The calzone we had was filled with ricotta, and other fillings. You can also order by the slice as well. There are essentially 3 booths to sit inside the shack, and one picnic table outside the place, so it’s not made for large groups. There are also some park benches outside as well. I can go on and on about the Italian ices. They are good, and more reasonably priced than say some other places you could go to in the general area. Smalls come in the traditional paper cup that I grew up eating them in. They will put them in the larger plastic cups they serve mediums in for your kids to make it less messy for them. The medium I had today was generously packed with Italian ice. We have tried most of the flavors, and they are all good. You can ask for tasting samples to help you pick, but it is probably hard to go wrong. I think the bees that fly incessantly around the nearby trash can will certainly agree.

Grew up a few blocks away — they’ve maintained the same quality(and it almost seems like the same price;) for 40 years… or ever since I can remember. A plain pie is $ 10.50 — good crust, cheese is just salty enough, and not too much. I’ve lived across the country and overseas, but whenever I visit family in town, this is a must. A cousin’s girl from Brooklyn just asked him, after her first pie, «why haven’t you taken me here before?!?»

I have lived in Roselle Park since 1995 and never tried Mim’s Pizza or their Homemade Italian Ices until I started seeing posts on Facebook about how good their pies and ices were. So last year I gave it a try and the family and I loved it. Their thick crust pizza is great and the pepperoni and sausage bread is excellent as well. We then tried their Italian ices and ice cream. Everything is great and well priced. My only regret is that I wish I tried Mimi’s Pizza sooner. Just a reminder that Mimi’s is a cash only business, so make sure you stop at the ATM before ordering or visiting the establishment. Thank you :)

This place is awesome! This review is only for the pizza, not the Italian ices. We live down the street from this place… Their pizza is the best. They are so reasonably priced(large pizza with 3 toppings/thin crust/$ 13.50). We ordered pick up since I refused to pay someone to deliver when we live a 4 minute walk away. And not this is not because I am cheap… Out of principal I figured if I was going to devour some pizza, I could make the 4 minute trek across the street to pick it up. It wasn’t ready when I walked in, so I was chatting with the owner who is super friendly. Something about their sauce makes the pizza to die for! When we first moved to the area last year and we were moving our furniture in we took a break and walked over for some slices… Plain slices are great :). Last night we ordered pepperoni, mushroom, and sausage. So delicious!!! As I have only been in the area a little over a year, I am trying to find my new«go to» pizza place, and I think this is it! I have tried several other places in the area, and coming out of Hoboken, I am used to good/fast pizza. It surprises me there aren’t more reviews of the pizza, but for those of you who are curious… Here you go.

ive passed this place so many times over the years yet never have actually had pizza from here oddly enough. visually it reminds me of the shore pizza places like the long gone tino’s pizzeria in ortley beach during the summer with the outdoor slide window that you can order pizza by the slice or Italian ices. they have a very concise menu and no crazy toppings like chicken, bacon or shrimp. just the essentials. mushrooms, olives. very old school. we had frozen food in the car so we ordered our pie for delivery. a large white pie with mushrooms and meatballs. while it may not have been the prettiest looking pie ive ever seen when it arrived most likely due to delivery, it was delish! we had the thick crust, perfectly cooked with corn meal on the bottom, love that. and the crust is outstanding! the white pizza itself was so flavorful too just enough garlic. one thing is I wish they didn’t clump all the ricotta thick in the middle of the pie, almost like they forgot and just put it on top of the already cooked pie. I make my own pizza and like when the ricotta is evenly distributed it enhances the flavor. that and the meatballs were tasty but most likely of the frozen variety. like the pellety looking kind. id try a different topping next time. but that said def gonna try a regular cheese pie tho from here, it really is worth another trip despite the few small shortcomings which really didn’t take away from our enjoyment of this awesome pizza!

This place has great italian ice :3 For $ 1.5 you get a giant scoop of your choice of flavor For $ 2.0 you get 2 giant scoops of up to two flavors For $ 2.5 you get three giant scoops of 3 flavors They have a wide variety of flavors like cherry, lemon, vanilla, strawberry, peach, orange, sugar free stuff, chocolate, mango, coconut, etc They serve the ice in a cup that is piled high, on a hot day eat it quickly or it may melt all over your hands. This it is great to eat after sporting or just for fun :)

If you are looking for a THIN crisp pie with great sauce. This is the place for you! A large 16 inch pie is about 11.00 topping are an extra 1.50 each. They will make the pie thicker for a few bucks more. The Italian ices are wonderfullllll and fresh! The chocolate is to die for :0 I can get my chocolate fix with out the fat from ice cream.

Love this place! Their prices are great are so is the ice. You can get a Medium Ice for $ 2 with any two flavors. I love the Coconut and Mango — they’re so refreshing on a hot summer day. I’m here at least once a week since my daughter loves watching the train nearby. A great local spot.

The best pizza pie around. Nothing like the homemade thin crust pizza at Mimi’s. My favorite is black olive, mushroom and green peppers. Cozy family style pizza and their homemade italian ice’s are wonderful — makes you feel like a kid again in the summer time. da’ best!

Fantastic icie. I ordered the black raspberry and tried some of the sugar free cherry. They were awesome and the cherry didn’t taste sugar free. It was full of flavor. Also they pile up the icie so a small might look like not enough but after piling it up high it will leave you satisfied. The medium was too much. Definitely give this place a shot.

Mimis is a local place, lots of little league kids come here after games, etc. I have only had the soft serve Ice cream, its pretty good! The kids seem to love the different Ice Flavors. The Pizza is as good as any other Pizza that claims NY style Pizza bragging rights. It is sad that this place is so run down, it matches the town perfectly, just old and tired, surviving on the laurels of «hey Tony, Mimis is the best Pizza yeah yeah yeah» I think this place may be the Ice Cream/Pizza shop version of the Soprano’s «Satrialis Pork store» This would have been 2 stars, but they are literally around the corner from me, I feel their pain.
