Nice little place with many wines«on tap» to choose from. They offer wine by the bottle, glass, and even a taste portion which is great for trying different wines. They also carry a few micro brews which my boyfriend was interested in from reading on the website. The waitress we had was not very friendly particularly to my boyfriend and she made the experience a little negative for us. This was our first time trying the place and we would like to try it again but hope for a more pleasant waitress. There was a live band that added to the atmosphere. Overall the place has all the makings for a great inexpensive night out especially if you go with a group of friends!

We loved Vine Tastings, it was the best! Unfortunately, we went there a few weeks ago and they were out of business :(

I love the VT. I live a few blocks away in Roselle and love visiting. The owners, Jan and Daryl Cooper are wonderful people, and both they and their staff know how to pick and introduce great wines from all over the world for just about any taste. They also have wines you just can’t find anywhere else. Believe me, I have looked. If you’re just looking to pick up a wine on the way to a party, the friendly and outgoing staff will help you find what you need. You can try any wine they have on their cuvenee free of charge– and you can learn about the wines through tasting notes located at the bar. If you’re planning on staying for a while, the shop has a nice, moderately trendy atmosphere with tables where you can sample or sip your wine. The staff and owners are great to talk to if you’re alone or if you know nothing about wine varietals. Vine Tastings offers a small selection of gourmet snacks that are really good, but they also allow you to bring in your own food or even order in deliver right to the store! During the summer, outdoor seating is available. Vine Tastings supports local artists and various charities. They have live music on the weekends usually a bit later in the evening. At times, the music can be a bit much, especially if you are having a conversation. However, sometimes, it makes for a wonderful evening. Regardless, the owners deserve praise for doing what they can to help out their community. Especially since it is my community. In short, Vine Tastings is a great little wine bar that you shouldn’t pass up if you’re in Roselle. More often than not, you’ll find the experience is rewarding and even memorable regardless of the reason you stopped in.

Awesome! Every aspect of this place fits that description. From the knowledgeable and kind owners to the atmosphere to the yummy wine — it’s just all awesome! I have been here twice in two weeks and I am looking forward to going back again soon. We stopped in for a special event last night. The live music was fun without being too loud and I knew every song that he played — Jim B., I think. :-) Mr. Cooper(who earned my respect last night with his amazing wine knowledge — and thus the«Mr.»), really knows his stuff. We tasted one thing after another. The progression was perfect and I liked each one for different reasons. Fun facts include: — They have a coffee/tea machine which makes a smokin’ hot cup o’ joe. — You can have food delivered here(as long as they don’t already sell it). — You can bring in your own tasty treats(again — make sure that they aren’t already selling it). — All of the staff is lovely… I watched an employee setup a table and chairs out front for a group of guests who couldn’t find a place to sit. — My «wine» friends like going here and they are fun, so you should go too!

What a complete treat to have such a cute little establishment in downtown Roselle. Came here with a group of friends after dinner one night. We all tried some different wines and my boyfriend, Steve, who does not care for wine at all, enjoyed a glass of Sangria. They have a wide variety of wines and I recently learned that you can even bring in your own food as long as it’s not something they sell in their refrigerated food case. The owners are some of the nicest people on the face of this earth and I truly enjoy this place. Stop in for a tasting, glass of yummy wine, to meet an old friend and catch up or to grab a quick gift for that last minute dinner party.

I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with all of the below reviews. As a Roselle resident, I have been to Vine Tastings on four separate occasions, and each time I have been horribly disappointed. The staff is rude and are not knowledgeable about the wines they are serving. Also, they charge you $ 5 to open any bottle of wine that you buy from them, even though they are already making a profit off of your purchase. If you are looking for a decent glass of wine along with a place to relax with friendly, knowledgeable service, I would suggest Impecca next door or Lynfred Winery just down the block.

Love the staff & atmosphere… great spot for gathering with friends, colleagues, etc. Order from Impecca Restaurant next door for some great food. Music on featured nights can be an impairment. A little too loud for the social group.

I live in Chicago and must now take bi-monthly trips out to Roselle for this place. The staff/owners are very friendly and willing to help you with any questions you may have. There is plenty of seating, even if you come with a group of 6 – 10 people. They offer cheeses, breads and chocolates to compliment the wine. I became a member because it was a very reasonable deal, and I like the fact that I get a bottle of wine a month. This keeps me from having to make tough decisions all the time. :) They keep an updated calendar of events on their website so you know what is happening if you decide to go, be it a tasting or a band. I would recommend this because of the atomosphere and lack of wineries in the city proper.

I went there this past weekend with my mom and sister. I was pleased with the atmosphere, and the staff/owner was pleasant. The wine was great and we enjoyed the entertainment! We all agree we will be back again with some friends. Good place to go for a cozy night out!

So go to Lynfred to buy a bottle for Grandma; come here to find a bottle to take home. Knowledgeable staff too. I skipped the live music scene… wine tasting is better when you can have quiet intimate conversations — but that’s just my opinion. And skip the pizza around the corner(pizza and 3 bottles of Chianti no-name is ok once in awhile, but don’t destroy the palate you’ve just caressed). Sorry Jennifer. Try the cute sandwich shop next door instead. Your date can oogle the knick-knacks while you order.

A Nice little place, great atmosphere, they provide live acoustic music on most nights, the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, the owners are there every night ensuring their guests have a good time, and the prices are great. They even carry a selection of nice Flying Dog beers in case your not a fan of wine.

I love this place! Great little find in downtown Roselle. The staff is amazing. Reading through these other posts — I have to disagree with Chris T. I find the prices to be very reasonable for a wine tasting bar. With each wine, you have the opportunity to either purchase a tasting or a full glass. I find the tastings to be pretty generous. The ambiance is great, and there is a nice little outdoor patio in the summer. Fun place to hang out with friends.

Unexpected gem in Roselle!!! This place is amazing if you are into the wine scene! Actually, even if you aren’t it can be a lot of fun! Live music on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Staff was amazingly friendly and super helpful, made the wine tasting very enjoyable as they were very knowledgable and have a great selection. The atmosphere is wonderful, great ambiance! This is a great place to visit with friends, relax and enjoy some great wines!
