FOODPOISONING. I went with a group of 10 and 5 of us were throwing up and or had diarrhea afterwards. We had not been spending time together before meeting at the restaurant so there is no way we got it somewhere else. In addition the service was bad. We called ahead and told them we wanted roasted pork. They said they only had 5 left but would save one for us. When we got there they said they didn’t have any. Also while the majority of our food came out very quickly, we had finished eating everything else before our duck arrived(after we complained). Our server didn’t speak English very well and was not friendly. From the outside this place looks pretty bad and I immediately thought«oh no» when I saw it. The inside was ok looking.

I don’t know how this place got such a relatively high rating among dim sum places. But seriously, dim sum from this place is not on par with most of the other places(cheaper or more expensive) I’ve tried. A few items I could remember: beef rice noddle roll: very soggy Fun Guo: fell apart before I could eat Woo kok/deep fried taro turnover: too flaky on the outside and it all fell apart Xiao long bao: no soup in it egg custard bun: tasted okay bean curd skin rolls: meh egg tart: bland Mala sponge cake: the only one that tasted not bad Some other stuff that I couldn’t even recall. Only good part was there was no waiting at Sat 11:30am, and they brought food to your table and asked you repeatedly if you want more. At least you don’t have to wait for cart food(like what I always have to do at Five Star…) But still, sorry I won’t be back.

The service was so terrible. We ordered seafood curry and beef with bitter melons. Both dishes were so full of vegetable, there were hardly any beef and seafood. We will never come back again!

I am impressed by their house special sautéed chicken! Very exotic Cantonese cooking style and no msg added! This is the first time I found the taste of hometown(canton, China) after all these years living in US. Also, I like the crab meat soup which has real crab meat and mixed with shrimp and scallops is very refreshing. Highly recommend!

My friend and I came here for the first time to try their dim sum. I arrived around 10am, anticipating that it might be crowded. I was pleasantly surprised to pull up to a private parking lot behind the building where there was ample parking. Inside, the restaurant was big and clean and we were seated right away. As we sat down, we were warmly greeted by a bevy a dim sum carts stacked with wonderful smelling food. We tried about 10 different dishes and love them all! The food was fresh, hot and flavorful. We didn’t wait long before the next carts came around. The waiters were also on top of refilling the pot of tea, offering clean plates and checking in. I would say however, none of the friendly servers spoke English so it was difficult to clarify what the dishes were. There seemed to be a few floor supervisors who came over and helped to translate, which was nice. Overall, my friend and I had a very positive first experience and I will personally be back for another round of dim sum.

Been here twice. The dim sum is alright. Best thing is there is absolutely no wait the two Saturdays I’ve been here. Even when we were leaving the restaurant around 10:30am the place was still only half full. They still do the push cart service which is cool. Food wise, it ain’t no Lunasia, but its not crap either. I would say its around the same level as NBC or Ocean’s yum cha. Prices are really good, the cheap stuff is about 2 something a dish. With 6 people it only came out to less than 11 dollars a person including tax and tip. I’ll definitely be coming back

Dim Sum party!!! There are several dum sum places around SGV. I had tried many places and this Dim Sum restaurant is by far my favorite. We had party of 11 and we all arrived in different time within 10 – 25 mins. They reserved the table for us and serve us tea for people who arrived first. The place is roomy, clean, friendly staff, and they have many Dim Sum dishes. There is a parking lot in the back and you can also park on the street. Here are items we had(its a memory test for me, since i cant remember them all): Shiu Mai, Shirmp dumpling, Sticky Rick w/Chicken in Lotus Leaf Wrap, Pumpkin & Spareribs in Black Ben Sauce, Chicken Feet, BBQ Pork Bum, Beef Rice Noodle Roll, Egg Sponge Cake, Tofu pudding w/Ginger Sauce. And much more!!! All the dim sum menu items are YUMMY! We also have two off dim sum menu items but I dont remember the official names. One is Duck & Taro dish and another one is fried sesame leaf wrap with shirmp. My favorite of the day is HONEYCOMBCAKE! It sooo good and not too sweet. Just perfect ^^ You can always ask the cart lady what is it, and they will explain it to you. If you are not sure what to order, you can ask and they will recomme. I will def come back with my friends!

We came here for lunch with a big group so we got to try lots of different plates :) FOOD: besides the regular dishes that we usually had which are very good, we also ordered these dishes that I think are their specialties: — Crispy Sesame Leave: this is their new dish, a MUST try. It’s crispy outside with shrimp paste inside, it’s also has a hint of wasabi on top that brings out a complete new favor. — Braised Duck and Taro: not on menu either. This is also very good, I haven’t had it in other restaurant yet. The taro is slightly deep fried so it’s not too greasy and the duck is so flavorful. — Sponge cake is also very good, not too sweet. The brown sponge cake is made with dark sugar which is very unique. SERVICES: I’m impressed with their services, most chinese restaurants don’t provide this kind of services. They come to refill tea and change plates very often. And they would come to offer us to try new dishes so ask them if u wanna try something different. We will definitely come back again to try their dinner dishes.

Parking: small lot in the back Service and food: came here on a weekday and bought a course meal for 10 people. It came with soup, rice, dessert, lobster, albonee, half of a small roasted pig, salty chicken(which was the most decent), etc. the service was just decent, it was really empty but probably because it was a Tuesday after New Years. The food was just alright, nothing really special. It wasn’t bad, but wasn’t special. The course meal came out to around $ 430 with tax and tip. Probably won’t come again.

Dim sum here is not bad. I personally like it. The food is fresh and it is a push cart style. So you basically order what you can eat or finish. The décor is clean and service is not bad. If you need something the servers are just near by. The place is bright. I like the fact that there are some parking spots at the back. Not a lot. Dim Sum here is very cheap. Its less than $ 3 for small medium and large. I really don’t know what is special item that will be priced at a higher price. I have order so much stuff and none of the items are special. Good cheap food. Place is big and as well at the front there is a BBQ place. I think its part of the restaurant. You do have to pay for tea. But the tea are not like special high end tea. Just regular pu’er etc.

It’s a palace, but not exactly palatial. This moderately-sized restaurant has a nice, open dining room where dim sum carts navigate easily through the spread of tables. Overall, we really liked every single dish, from the pork shumai to the chow fun noodles to the steamed and baked bao to the cold duck with super crispy skin. And we found there wasn’t the crush of crowds like at some other places in Rosemead, so we’ll definitely be going back!

Great find on Unilocal when searching for a new dim sum place for New Year’s Day. Quick seating, attentive service by staff and rotating carts and great tasting dim sum! And service was friendly despite me not being able to speak Chinese. Good variety of dishes from basic har gow, jook-porridge, char siu bao(steamed & baked), chow fun & look fun noodles, chinese broccoli and desserts galore. So glad we found a new favorite place when our old place stopped delivering on good food and service.

Cons: Pretty much everything we tried tasted very bland and wasn’t fresh/hot — the siumai, ha gao, shrimp rice roll, chicken feet, egg tarts, etc. Pro: The tea was good, props to them for getting that right Con: The tea price has been raised to $ 1.20. But I… I guess we’re getting what we paid for???(Is this a con anymore?) Conclusion: I’d bring a thermo flask and come back for the tea. The food is meh, but maybe it’s just today.

One of the best places for dim sum! My sister and I were looking for a good dim sum place and I’m glad Unilocal was there to help! It’s a large restaurant with plenty of seating for groups or individuals. The ladies push around the carts with a vast variety of food and employees are always walking around if you need any condiments or napkins. At most dim sum places, you’re constantly guessing how much the prices are but on your tab, it shows you how much each letter will cost. For instance: items in A, B, C cost 2.68 D costs 3.08 E and F cost 4.00 so you’re able to calculate your total and know you’re not being over charged!

I wouldn’t say this place has the best quality of dim sum. But. I would say that this place is pretty cheap. It’s around ~$ 2.40 for each of the dishes which is actually a pretty rare find as the prices in San Gabriel are getting expensive. What makes this place a gem is that the it’s a relatively hidden place that not that many people go to. That means you can get a table, order the dishes you want, and take your time eating. Interesting observation, the waiters all looked like they could side hustle for the chinese triads. Probably not true but you’ll know what I mean.

Dim sum was pretty good overall. The only thing I didn’t like was the chicken feet. Flavors were a little off and not as tender. Lobster Yee mein was delish. You can’t beat $ 15. Surprisingly, service was good and food cart kept coming.

I came with a group of four on a Friday at noon and we got seated pretty quickly. This is a pretty decent dim sim place. Food and and price are the average for dim sim. They have a variety of selections. They actually have xiao long boas and zhaliang(two things I am almost never able to find at the dim sim places I go to). Service was nice and efficient. I don’t know what it is, but the service was different. Maybe they had more staff or something during the time we came, but I’ve never seen such an attentive team of hosts/waitresses/cart ladies. They weren’t really too blunt and emotionless like most dim sim places I’ve been to. It was just strange in a good way of course. Overall, decent.

This is basically the exactly the same Sun City just with a different name. Interior is the same no noticeable change, the same old dirty carpet were there. Service is not bad but didn’t like the main entrée(Duck and Chicken) came dead last. Food price are notice more pricey than before, if you going to list same price as other more upscale Chinese restaurant in the area, you better delivery. They didn’t delivery the quality for the price, in fact this probably one of worst Chinese fine dinning I had for sometime. Quality is god awful in most dishes, either they are cold or didn’t put much effort on it. The beijing duck was the worst I ever had, it tasted like it were sit then since in the morning. So is the buns and chips. This place is simply not live up the expectation and clearly need a lot of improvement before I would come back.

Run of the mill dimsum. Nothing special with a few items that were really just mediocre. We were always either bombarded or left desolate for food. The place is relatively new but the carpet is extremely disgusting. The wait is non-existent since it’s not very busy, but the parking lot only has something like 10 spaces and it’s just plain sucky. The service was great though, there were a lot of staff on hand to take orders, requests and such. I think they just need to work out the newbie kinks and get their kitchen in order. I’d like to also mention the service staff wear very swanky suits with very large designer belt buckles and are all males 20 – 25. Like a car sales lot.
