So sad they closed, but not unexpected. I really enjoyed the food at Prasino and will venture out to their other locations. I loved their concept and their décor. They also had really good specials, although the prices were a bit high for being inside an outlet mall in Rosemont. However, their downfall is that their service was inconsistent. As a mall employee I hoped that I would at least be remembered or acknowledged as such. Usually I would be in a hurry and sit at the bar to have lunch. Regardless of where I sat, it still took a long time. I really don’t know what it was because the people seemed nice enough. Maybe they just don’t know how to hustle. I am really sad to see them go because it’s one less dining option for us mall rats.

Nice ambience and very friendly and attentive waiter. We started out with the Lobster Avocado Salad and it was a delicious start. Totally recommend this appetizer, it was sooooo good. It reminded me of eating a summer salad while on vacation in Florida. For my main meal I tried the short ribs with a side of the Truffle Potatoes. Wow the truffle potatoes were so tasty, its a big serving, you can share this side with another person. The short ribs were good, but not the best I had. One of the ribs was about 75% fat. The other two were meaty and very well flavored. This place is not bad, I will definately go again and try a different entrée’.

Prasino hit two home runs this week! Wednesday, Kelly organized the perfect catered lunch for 18. Not only did she put up with my last minute requests, she now has an office addicted to the plantain chips. Saturday, mom’s 80th birthday in the PRIVATEDININGROOM. Yes, Prasino has the hippest spot for that intimate gathering. 12 foodies with high standards. My brother and sister-in-law and 4 kids(18 y+) thought we had found the best place they’ve been to in Chicago.(Background: they are from NY and love to dine out). We dined on lobster avocado app + salads + killer dragon YUM. The service was amazing. Then the desserts. We tried one of everything! The lava cake won our vote. They even let us hang out and enjoy more family stories + some more wine. Needless to say, Prasino made my mom’s birthday even better than she hoped for.

My friend and I went here for lunch after several hours of shopping. Our server gave very poor service. He never made eye contact and immediately tried to take our order after we had just sat down. He was not friendly or helpful and we had to repeat everything to him. We ordered the Greek salad and the fish tacos to split. I’m not sure why it’s called a Greek salad, nothing about it was Greek except I suppose the feta cheese. The salad had a lot of stems and end in it that were not what one wants to eat in a salad. It had a minimal amount of cucumbers(maybe one or two slices) and way to many cherry tomatoes. The dressing was pretty bland. The fish tacos came four to a plate. They were also bland. The only thing that saved them was the salsa on the side, it was nice and spicy! Overall we probably would have done better going to one of the restaurants in the food court. I wouldn’t eat here again. There was nothing special about the food and it was over priced for the quality. The service was also poor.

All of my favorite items in ONE menu??? WIN!!! Tacos, seafood, beef, sushi… Had some time to kill before picking up someone from O’Hare so the hubs and I thought we would grab a bite and check out this new fashion mall. This restaurant is INSIDE the mall on the second floor. Chose Prasino because my precious Unilocal told me to do so– and I’m glad I listened! From the reviews online I already knew I would have to get the pork belly and scallop tacos. BUTTHEREWERESOMANYOPTIONS that I also wanted to try– I guess I will have to go back! Husband ordered the smoked lamb baguette which was also delicious! The lamb had great flavor– not too gamey. The presentation for both plates was perfect. Initially, I wasn’t sure how filling the tacos would be… I wasn’t able to even eat them all! The last taco and half were opened up and I just ate the innards… The ambiance is perfect. Its modern and cozy. There’s also several plasmas which made for a perfect dinner of eating our choice entrees while watching the Olympics. Their website is cool– much better from your PC than your phone. Can also make reservations online and see what the differences are amongst their 3 Chicagoland locations(and one in Missouri).

Came here for Valentine’s Day around 5:45 p.m., and it wasn’t incredibly busy. The ambience was nice and suitable for a date night(depends on where you sit). The restaurant is kind of separated into three sections: a bar area with some tables around it, a dim main area that’s deeper inside the restaurant and an open well-lit area that looks out to the mall. We were seated in the main area. I ordered off their Valentine’s Day 3-course menu for $ 45 pp, which consisted of a shrimp cocktail, petite filet and chocolate torte. While the shrimp cocktail and petite filet were good, the chocolate torte was amazing. It has just the right amount of sweetness and almost melts in your mouth. I would recommend trying Prasino at least once.

I’ve frequented the Prasino in LaGrange and I loved it. So I was very excited to have brunch at their new location in the sleek new Fashion Mall in Rosemont. I liked their layout. Still warm colors, natural colors, sleek yet comfy. Since they can’t have true patio seating like their CHI or LaGrange location, their«patio» seating juts out of their restaurant so that you’re view is the mall. Weird, but I like it. You get the natural lighting coming in from the ceiling windows and it’s prime seating for people watching(who doesn’t love people watching?). It’s also makes planning a day out fun and easy. Shopping. Brunch. Movie(at nearby Muvico) Their menu still boasts locally sourced options, gluten free options and vegan options. I love their bar menu too. I usually get their Paris Benedict, but this time my friend pointed out the Lobster Omelet. Whoa, how did I miss that? The Omelet is served with their house potatoes and a choice of pancakes or toast. I liked my meal a lot. The omelet is served with Hollendaise, although a very small drizzle. I would have liked some more and it’s my fault as I should have asked for more and I’m sure they would have obliged. The omelet was well-made as there was lobster throughout. The potatoes were well-seasoned and the English muffin was perfectly toasted. My Pomegranate mimosa was delicious and refreshing and a perfect pairing with my meal. Service was very sweet and helpful. Our server checked on us quite a bit but without any hovering. And she never rushed us, even when it took a bit to decide on what to order. It takes a while when 2 gals keep chatting and catching up, but our server was very accommodating. My favorite is still the Paris, so I might just stick with it in the future. But this location still earns high marks from me. Brunch is the best. Cheers!

Very impressed not only with the mall but also with the fair amount of quality restaurant choices. And for sure the first restaurant I’ve been to that offers house brewed Kombucha tea served in a champagne glass! Nice touch if I do say so myself :) I opted for the apple tea with my Tilapia. A little too much mustard and not enough lemon flavor in the sauce but I would still order again! Husband ordered the turkey burger… loved it but didn’t touch the potato wedges. But really, who actually prefers potato wedges to good olé fashioned fries anyway???

I couldn’t ask for a more delicious restaurant and better service. I decided to order the lamb slider which which came with feta cheese and roasted tomatoes. My girlfriend ordered the scallop and pork belly tacos. We each loved our dishes. Not only is the restaurant great, it’s located smack dab in the middle of one of the best high fashion outlet malls I’ve ever experienced! Totally worth the drive. They also have a location in wicker park.

My +1 and I were meeting up in the area and, after seeing the great reviews and the promises of a fresh eco-friendly, locally sourced and sustainable-minded restaurant, I immediately suggested Prasino. We were greeted by the host who was going to seat us in the mall area, but we asked to sit inside. The décor was spacious and interesting. Oh, and the have a wine room — cool! Our server arrived shortly after we were seated, and asked us only after a minute or two whether or not we were ready to order our food. We asked for more time but asked about beverage specials. They didn’t have any beer specials, but she suggested the Citrus Martini($ 10) made with grapefruit juice. My date got that and I ordered the Revolution Bottom Up Wit Ale. The former was surprisingly garnish-less and the latter was delivered in a tall slender glass. The server was nice and checked on us often, but was a little overbearing and didn’t seem too really take to our«we need more time to decide» replies when she came back. Instead she stood at our table and lingered for an awkward while each time. I appreciate attentiveness but it was just very… uncomfortable. Out water glasses were refilled often, which I appreciate. My +1 ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli(about $ 15) and I ordered the Tofu Stir Fry(also about $ 15). Our server suggested that I order rice or soba noodles to accompany the Stir Fry, as it no longer comes with rice/noodles.(Huh?! What stir-fry is absent of carbs??) I ordered the soba. A few fruit flies flew by our table and we both had to swat them away. The Ravioli was topped with piles of baby greens and was pretty good. My Stir Fry had a good flavor — gingery with a touch of heat — but was SOAKED in sauce and very soupy. It was generous on the noodles, tofu, and mushrooms, but lacking on the bok choy. My +1 commented, «What would they have given you without the noodles or rice? Just… tofu and mushrooms?» Like I said, the omission seems like a super-odd menu decision. My +1 ordered another Citrus Martini. When our server brought it to the table, we both saw the black floater in the glass even before she put it down. He was a bit speechless, and as our server moved to walk away, I called her back and pointed out the obvious fruit fly in the drink. She seemed surprised and suggested it was a seed(??? from the grapefruit??). We informed her about the fruit flies we had to swat away earlier and indicated one was also in the martini. She apologized and took the drink back and did deliver a fresh one. Towards the end of our dinner, a person who I presumed was the manager(she didn’t introduce herself) approached our table and apologized about the fly in the drink. She made a comment about having fresh fruit being indicative of flies.(However, I think this could easily be remedied by, y’know…covering fruits and condiments properly.) In all it was just an «OK» experience. The space and menu seem exciting and fresh, but it just all fell short and left a lot to be desired.

I went there with my sister to get lunch. Totally love this place. I ordered chicken salad and it was super great! They are very clean and very friendly. Our waitress(African American man don’t remember his name) was very nice and very professional. He even took picture of us. I strongly suggest this place for lunch or anything.

Been to Prasino in Rosemont twice and had two different experiences. I initially tried Prasino the first time I went to the mall in September. The food was not as good as Wicker Park(which I have been to several times), service was poor and I was seated in an area which felt like I was on display in the middle of the mall. Overall bad experience. I decided to try Prasino again and requested to sit in the back area near the wine. I ordered the spreads, tofu stir fry and truffle potatoes. Food was MUCH better! I am still thinking about the truffle potatoes, they are a must have. Our server was very knowledgeable and suggested some tasty cocktails. Looking forward to coming back on my next shopping adventure. Glad they got their act together!

I work in the mall, so basically I’ve eaten everywhere ever in that place. Prasino is by far my favorite place to grab something at. They are accommodating when i need to be in and out on lunch an after work when we close they are great too. The food is always good I’ve gotten a variety of things there, i can’t decide if their breakfast(served till 3) is better than the dinner menu. sushi is really good too! Overall a healthy menu which is a great thing when you have a sea of fried foods to choose from in the food court. Atmosphere is great too. They have a location in wicker park i believe as well if you’re in the city, they do a free shuttle between the two if you dine with them. Overall i really enjoy Prasino an its worth a stop at!

First of all, I was there on a first date. No jitters really, and me liking how the place looked helped. We met at the bar — and they have a whole section on «Daytime Beverages»(=non-alcoholic) — which is GREAT. I had an «In the Orchard». Loved it. I frequent the juice sample machine at the Schaumburg Whole Foods and this just about rivaled it. The main bartender, however, was not in a great mood. We almost left him no tip, but that would be rude and not add to his mood. Off to dinner — we had the Kefte — a big lamb meatball with a red pepper coulis and I think it was mellow goat cheese. The coulis was lovely(I am a big red bell pepper far) and the cheese crumbles were beautiful. The meatball/kefte — was just okay. Not much flavor in it. And I could’t tell if it was lamb or any other meat. At least it wasn’t greasy. We also had the Pork Belly bites — much to love there. They are skewered and in nice good sized cubes. Some parts were almost nice and charred and other parts were pretty fatty — but I will order them again. And lastly — the Lava Roll. Tuna, crab, avocado, spicy sauce. It was pretty good, but the tuna was all masked. My date like it, so I let him eat the rest of it. Pretty good and I would like to try the other things on the menu(Cod, Salmon, Short Ribs). ALSO — you carry OOgave Soda! Hats off to you!(I am from Denver and know Esteban and Gannon there — and I have helped them make boxes when the did a bog bottling.)

I like this trendy place at the fashion outlet as their maki rolls are good but the stand out was the pork belly burger. The service was good and the atmosphere is not too loud so a great place to chat up with a friend.

Cute, trendy place to grab a bite to eat while shopping at the Fashion Outlet. We were seated immediately in the section out in the mall area, which is perfect for people watching. The belt buckles on the backs of the seats are nice to look at, but be careful about snagging your sweater on the hooks. Service was timely and friendly. We both tried their fresh made beverages. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing and delicious. We started with the lobster avocado appetizer. The portion was small, but included a lot of lobster meat. The taco entrees include 4 tacos a plate. Hubby had the pork belly and scallop tacos while I tried the short rib tacos. Both were good. The sauce accompanying the short rib tacos was too spicy for me. When I asked for a milder sauce, they were only able to give me extra pico de gallo. Overall the ingredients are fresh and healthy, but the portions are on the smaller side.

Can’t put into words how wonderful the staff AND the food were! Décor was modern and upscale. They made use a drink at or request which I got the small greens salad and the vegan tofu… I would recommend both. The sushi was amazing! My boyfriend got the lamb shank which he said was fantastic, especially the couscous side. We then had their vegan banana dessert which was unexpectedly delicious. :)

The place is cute and service was good. My water was filled up relatively often and she checked up on us constantly. We started with the surf and turf sushi. 3 nigiri pieces of spicy tuna tartare and 3 pieces of wagyu tartare on top of crispy rice. The rice wasn’t crispy at all which was disappointing. The wagyu tartare was covered in a teriyaki sauce which I thought was kind of blah. I got the pork belly/scallop tacos with spinach and avocado. Very subtle, delicate flavors that surprisingly go well together. I appreciate the sauce on the side since it’s a very sweet honey flavor. You get four small tacos so the pork belly can get a bit too rich at the end. I should have asked if I could try two different kinds of tacos. All in all, it was pricey but good. Free wifi which is great because we didn’t get any reception in the entire mall. I also liked that the menu clearly labels things that are vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free. I rate it a 3-star which I consider to be, «Yea it’s okay. It was good but I’m not about to go raving about it to my friends.»

Lunch for 2 on a week day. THEGOOD: + Organic food + Nice ambiance + Attentive service + Lots of gluten-free and vegan options THE«MEH»: — Overpriced We ordered the following: –Shrimp tacos — 4 tacos, no sides for $ 13.95 -«up in the air» beverage made of pineapple, strawberry, and orange juice for $ 5.50 –Strawberry crêpe(forgot how much) –Red skin potato hash(forgot how much) Total bill = $ 33 + $ 3.93 tax + tip — Food did not really«wow» us. I found the food and beverage bland. Maybe it’s my non-high fallutin’ palette that is used to «regular ingredients» that sometimes could be cool with food that are(gasp!) «non-organic, dahling!» THEBOTTOMLINE: I guess this place is good for the high fallutin’ clientele shopping in The Fashion Outlets of Chicago. It was good to experience(service and ambiance can’t be beat!) but I’m more of a «down home midwestern girl» who likes her french fries, hotdogs, pizza, tacos and pop from a mom & pop joint. Gimme some salt and spices anytime! I don’t have the blue blood to eat bland food but to each his/her own. Tah tah for now, dahling!

I give it a 4 because it is a mall restaurant. The décor is upscale and modern… yet comfortable. We had the Tuna Tartare and Killer Dragon to start. The tuna was good– fresh(very ruby red) and you could tell the sushi chef had knife skills(tiny cubes); the killer dragon suffered from sauce overload, but otherwise tasty. For dinner, we ordered the black cod and wagyu strip. The cod was perfectly cooked, light an slightly crisp on the outside. The soba noodles are tasteless though. The wagyu was decent. Nicely cooked, but not really that tasty. The chips on the side are good. As an indulgent side, we ordered the pork belly and scallop tacos. 4 to the order and enough for a meal really… Pretty good. Maybe too salty even with two taco corn shells. I would order again though with a side of rice. I would give it a try if you’re in the area, but not worth a drive if you’re not.
