I mean I like this place since it is a simple menu. I mean this is one of the few places to get a bun mi sandwich. Also the food will tide you over for a little while. I feel that this place is worth a stop since their offerings is different than you find in different mall food courts.

I feel bad about the other reviewers :(. That’s one elaborate story! I love this place! It’s a mall food court lunch place! They do a wonderful job! My husband and I are big foodies and love Asian food. Yes. Limited menu… But what’s wrong with that?! It means they focus on only a few things and with those few things… They do it well! The lady is one chit chatter… The pork bahn mi was yummy! Phở was good. Not the best but definitely worth eating! Great broth. I’ve already been back for the bahn mi :). Totally worth a try!

Heard about a mall shop serving Vietnamese food, so a friend and I were immediately intrigued. Coming to the corner of the Taste of Saigon around 3PM on a weekday, I was glad to see Banh Mi and Phở on the Americanised menu, albeit disappointed in that’s pretty much all they offered. There are 4 types of meat toppings to the ‘Vietnamese Sandwiches’: Grilled Beef, Grilled Pork, Special Ham, and Vietnamese Meatballs — all microwaved and warmed up for order. With the Phở, the options are Chicken and Beef, with a Special Meat Combo as an extra cost. I should also mention they have Spring rolls, Egg rolls, and papaya salad but all were not available at 3PM much to my dismay of wanting to see what the Taste of Saigon was about. I had a terrible experience. First, which was on my fault, I was texting on my phone by my face and was told no pictures allowed. To be appropriate, I was yelled at ‘no pictures, no pictures!’ and I put my phone away to not add confusion. Second, the worker used the same gloves to touch money, cards, the register, and food we were going to eat. We asked her if she was going to put on new gloves, which brings up point three. The person behind the counter was beyond rude and offensive. She made a large scene about us taking pictures(untrue) and a big deal about putting new gloves on. She made comments about refunding us our cash if it was a big deal, then told my friend she didn’t like her face and told her to «look in a mirror before looking at me.» My friend was taken aback and offended and tried to apologise for whatever look she was giving, but the worker didn’t accept the apology and made comments like«you’re not even pretty,» which really took it a step too far. What really grinded my gears and made the experience even worse was that mall workers(or whatever security staff) failed to address the situation, when there were at least two mall workers less than 15 ft away. Finally, the person behind the counter gave us our food and explicitly said«I hope to never have you come in again.» This sold me in never wanting to visit this place again for sure. If you are okay with horrific service(with potential money covered food) and potentially not getting anything but Phở or Vietnamese Sandwiches, then try it out. The sandwiches ended up being pretty decent, but it’s a shame we had to go through terrible service to get it.

The menu is fairly limited. Phó, sanwiches, egg rolls, spring rolls, and drinks. I had the grilled pork sanwich. It had grilled(and then microwaved till rubbery) pork, cucumbers, cilantro, french pâté, soy sauce, carrots, daikon radishes, jalapeños, and a house-made mayo sauce. The flavor was amazing. The danwich, however, was very chewy and difficult to eat. The bread was very chewy.(It was fresh. But it was a french baguette, so what do you expect?)
