Friendly staff and they have all the old video games you could ever imagine. Better prices then dimple records

First of all, this is the ONLY place around with a vintage game selection this good. Secondly, the prices are very fair and Dan is a completely negotiable person, where a negotiation is warranted. The comment from the first reviewer is a strange one, saying«It’s as if he prices the games for their actual worth and not their market value». Uuum… same thing. Besides that, unless you’re a wholesale buyer, you’re NOT going to get a wholesale price. He’s running a business and like any sane business person, you HAVE to add some remote vestige of a retail mark-up. If you search around for prices of vintage games or consoles, you will quickly see that the prices are like any other hard to find commodity; condition, availability and popularity equals worth, cost, market value. My wife and son just stopped in over the weekend and got a fantastic deal on a Super Nintendo, complete with cords, adapter and one controller, plus two games. WE got a MUCH better deal than anything I could have found currently online. If you love retro gaming and want to immerse yourself in the joy of cartridges, consoles and controllers, then by all means GO see Dan at Trader Dan’s Video Game Exchange! :-)

Decent selection of games from the past 30+ years. Prices are a bit high, though possibly negotiable. It’s as if he goes by the actual«worth» of the game, rather than the current market value. You can definitely get the same stuff cheaper online. He also sells old video game consoles that he has fixed himself. So your chances of getting a flickering NES are lower than if you bought one from a yard sale or thrift store. But again, $ 40 – 50 for an NES is a bit steep. The shop itself is like a hoarder’s paradise. Old action figures, happy meal toys, comic books, and who knows what else strewn about. Very much par for the course in the flea market scene to which it belongs. Which is another reason why the prices might be higher. His customers probably have no idea what this stuff is really worth. I can’t really recommend going unless you gotta have your Final Fantasy 3SNES cartridge NOW and don’t mind paying more than necessary.
