This place is by far the best lighting place I have ever been in. I have not yet gone to the new location in Market Place but have been a long time customer at the old location. They have beautifully rewired many valuable antique lights for me and come up with odd little bits to restore pieces where I had something missing. The prices for their services are reasonable and the work is outstanding. If you want a gigantic showroom of lighting with thousands of choices or a builder grade light from Home Depot then this is not the place for you. This is a family run specialty store with the knowledge to to flawless repairs. They have won my business time and again and I am a customer for life!

I went in this lighting store to purchase a shade for an antique lamp that I had with me. The guy was so rude to me when I told him I wanted to think about it before I proceeded to purchase a $ 149 lamp shade. I was shocked beyond belief at his behavior and rudeness. He jerked the shade out of my hand and stormed off when I was still talking about other less expensive options(shades).

I don’t know what Taylor is talking about… Sharon’s is by far the best lighting store in Atlanta, GA, they are the flagship lighting store in the east coast. There was a AJC column on the company a couple of years back where they interviewed the owner. Try to find it. It talked about how Sharon’s was one of the first lighting stores in Atlanta and how they’ve been family owned and operated for over 30 years. They have a very high-class collection of lamp shades, floor lamps, and especially chandeliers. I bought a chandelier for my dining room years ago when they also had a chamblee store and I still get many compliments for it every time someone steps into the room. They have an excellent taste in interior design. I come to the store at least twice a year just to see the beautiful lighting they carry. The best part about the store is their repair team. These guys can repair almost anything you throw at them. My nephew literally smashed our antique lamp when he accidentally tripped on the power cord. We took it in just to see what we could salvage but Mike, the owner, told us he could fix it if he gave us a week. Suspicious but hopeless, we agreed and when we came back, it was as if the lamp was restored to its ORIGINAL condition. They got EVERY aspect of it right, down to the damn color pattern on the base! Check them out. It’s true, they are old-school but they really know what they are doing. Absolutely the nicest and most sincere guys in the business.

This lighting outlet is fairly junky, to be honest. It is in a great part of town, where I would expect it to be more busy, but this Sharon’s Lighting had no customers. The place was not very clean, and could use some renovations. The prices are too high for such average lamps and chandeliers. The service was mediocre, certainly not something I’d brag about. I would much rather go to a Progressive Lighting outlet, than this place. I would not recommend this otlet for anyone!
