Best BLT on grilled home made bread in mid-coast Maine. Friendly service. Great selection of home made breads. Hand made pizza is out standing. Good lunch sandwiches. Serves breakfast too

We stopped in out of curiosity, and found that although she has a great selection of baked goods, it is primarily order ahead. Which we did. 2 blueberry peach pies, a loaf of bread, 2 pints of chicken noodle soup. All were outstanding– we just had to drive back to get it. Better idea is to call, order what you want, and then only have to make one trip to pick it up. Don’t let the distance or outside appearance fool you — everything was excellent and would love to have a meal here!

Very small family kitchen that packs a punch. We stopped in and enjoyed seafood chowder and the best blts of our lives here. Our daughter finished her cheeseburger — a first for her. But what really makes this place special is the love that Dot and her family show to customers. My son said he preferred clam chowder to seafood and it was produced from the family’s leftovers. We ordered a chicken pot pie and and fruit pie for pick up 3 days later and despite a family emergency Dot produced the most delicious pies. Next year we plan to take some of her chicken pot pies home to New York. A real gem– visit if you find yourself near beautiful Round Pond, Maine.

I can’t believe that it took me as long as it did to find this incredible place but fortunately we have found it and both my wife and I will be frequent customers! Based on a recommendation of a friend we went over for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised to find a homey atmosphere, incredible folks catering to your needs and food beyond belief! As we walked in there were fresh bakery goods on display. The donuts looked incredible so when we were seated for breakfast I asked the waitress for a donut for an appetizer. She said go up and take one and don’t forget to take the hole. I laughed and genuinely enjoyed both! I had eggs, bacon, homemade toast(incredible BTW) and home fries. It was just delicious! My wife had a fresh veggie omelet and she said it was the absolute best omelet she has ever had. It looked great! If you are on the mid-coast of Maine and want a great breakfast(they have lunch too) this is a place to have on your list of places to visit!

Had lunch here today — a BLT on homemade bread! Dot is one-of-a-kind! The food is incredible and fresh ingredients always used. Loved the experience at Dot’s and highly recommend it as an unusual dining experience — like eating in your grandmothers home. Thanks Dot for the food, visit and hospitality.

This store does not uphold the hours posted. Also looks rather run down from years past when I have visited. I would recommend calling before coming– very disappointing.

I’ve been to Dot’s bakery. It’s at 1233 rt. 32 round pond Maine. My first meal was a breakfast,(they also do lunches) an omelette with fresh vegetables it was delicious. The pastries that were offered were all homemade and wonderful. Also a large variety of homemade breads. The owner Dot greets everyone with a big smile and a «hello how are you». It’s as if you stepped back in time and visited your grandma’s house, the food is that good. The foods you want the way you want them cooked. The prices are very reasonable too. And experience will not regret. Take the time to seek them out you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been meaning to go to Dot’s for a long time. From the outside, it looks like a house. And the inside… well it looks like a house too! Most likely because it is –which is all part of the experience. You’re likely to be seated by a lovely young lady named«Dorothy.» But don’t be quick to think she’s who the place is named after. To keep the small town homey charm, she’s actually the girl next door! Dot and her husband are very friendly and are sure to come by and say hello. After all, this is their home! We sat on their back deck for breakfast overlooking the vegetable garden. My mom and I both ordered the breakfast sandwich(under $ 5!), I went with oatmeal bread, sausage patties and white cheddar. She did the same with bacon. Both were amazing — cooked perfectly with the right amount of ingredients. I’d order again in a heartbeat. My dad opted for the blueberry pancakes, which were loaded up with them at that. They brought out a very generous container of maple syrup, which was very impressive considering that a lot of places charge extra for real maple syrup. While I have not been for lunch, my mom said that she ordered a cheeseburger and watched Dot go to the garden and pick lettuce for it. Now THAT is impressive! We’ve ordered pies, pizzas and bread from Dot’s that are all worthy of a reorder. No matter the meal or baked good you are craving — if you’re in the Round Pond area, stop in at Dot’s!
