I had lost a LOT of hair due to illness this past year and had quit even trying to style it. When my little cousin mentioned he liked the way my gray was blending into my blonde, it snapped me into the «maybe I should take care of my hair like I use to!» mode. I just moved here from out of state and based on Unilocal reviews, chose this salon. Christina immediately knew what to do and explained in detail how she was going to cut and shape it to keep it as looking full as possible. The highlights she gave me were superb and I showed up at Thanksgiving with fabulous hair! Thanks again, Christina!

I don’t usually write reviews, but these people saved my life! I called in an emergency situation with my eyelashes. They got me in within the hour, did a terrific job, and to top it off didn’t even charge me for the touch up! Talk about first-​class service for someone who’s not even a regular customer! I was pleasantly surprised by how great my haircut came out! I’m new to the area and found this salon on Unilocal.Rebecca was very nice and welcoming when my appointment started and gave me a great haircut just from a picture! Didn’t get a greeting when I walked in — not sure where the receptionist was. And there were a couple kids making lots of noise while I was there. Other than that, I had a great experience and love my haircut!

This place lived up to its great reviews. They got me in right away, my appointment was exactly on time, and my stylist, Sara, did a fantastic job. She gave me exactly the cut I asked for. It’s a cute place too. Will definitely be going back.

Absolutely amazing! I haven’t had a haircut in well over a year. I have very long hair and have just had horrible experiences in the past at other salons, needless to say I have grown afraid of getting my haircut because I don’t want my hair butchered.
Alas, after lack of care my hair needed so help, so I decided to try this salon. I couldn’t be more happy and glad that I did!!! I had my hair cut by SARA Sanchez and I absolutely love it! This woman has restored my faith in hair stylists! My hair looks and feels amazing again and she did an amazing job cutting/​styling it. I will be using her all the time!

Sara Sanchez is fantastic! All the services have been very reasonably priced. She always goes above and beyond to make sure I’m happy with my hair, and she does a great job on my husbands super curly hair. Plus, she’ll work around my schedule, even if that means the occasional Sunday appointment.

Love Kayo!!! Super friendly. She always cut nice Asian hair! Kayo alone is 5 stars. The salon alone is 3 stars, the salon is a little «cold» and no greeting when you come in.

I cannot begin to describe how infuriated I am at the treatment I received at this so called salon, I made an appointment with Sarah a week ago, when I called to make the appointment they never asked me what I wanted done they had told me that I was scheduled at 2 with Sarah who they also said was the owner of the salon. I took a half day from work lost 4 hours of pay to get my hair done in which I have not had done in 2 years, I was so excited to get it done and feel good again. I went into the salon and was rudely greeted by Sarah and she told me she would be right with me, she called me back and asked me what I wanted done and I showed her what I wanted (color and cut) and she told me they only put me down for a cut and that she had a client right after me so she couldn’t do my hair and wanted ME to reschedule! I explained to her that this was the only time I had to get my hair done which I could tell she did not care so I asked what do I have to do, go somewhere else? And she said yes! so I left, this «salon» is a complete joke! I would not recommend this place to anyone! I own my own business and work another job so I have a lot of people I can tell about this place. This is not the way you should run a business they should be more concerned with what the client wants and accommodate them. Sarah acted like she could care less that they inconvenienced my entire day! So thanks for nothing!

I live South West Austin and will now make the drive to see Ashley. She really did a great job on my cut and color.
I was not looking for a new stylist I had the urge to chop my long locks and could not get in with my regular in south austin.
My co-​worker always has amazing hair so I asked her who she went to. So I went in just trying to get my hair fix. I just loved her work better than my regular. I recommend her to anyone willing to travel.

Loved my Diva hair haircut that Sara did! I have never had that many compliments on my hair! Finally someone that understands how to cut curly hair!!! Love it

Stacie rocks! She has great ideas, truly listens, and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks.

I came here for a Devacurl haircut and style. My stylist was Sara S. She was extremely knowledgeable on curly hair, products, and techniques. She shared many tips with me that I continue to use to this day. They also sell Devacurl products in the salon so if you need some and don’t want to pay for shipping, this is a great spot. The ambience of the salon is cute and trendy. It was quiet and relaxing. Sara was very chatty and polite. I will be going back to see her in Feb or March 2015 as she suggested. They are located in the plaza next to Golds Gym.

My mother & I are new to the area and were in desperate need of a salon, so of course we turned to Unilocal!We found Shine Salon, and decided to give it a try.
We were greeted kindly when we walked in, and told our stylists would be with us shortly. We waited less than 5 minutes. The atmosphere was light, roomy, and pleasant.
My stylist, Teal, was great. She listened to what i wanted & performed like a pro! I enjoyed her company as well! My mother’s stylist, Sarah, was also great.
We will definitely be back!

I’ve gone to Stacy a few times and have had the same amount of good times as disappointing times, which in my opinion when it comes to getting your hair done you should never be disappointed. I get extensions put in so I spend a good amount of money so I expect good service, this however did not happen and the first time I was understanding and had her fix them, when the second time came around I was over spending the money and being unhappy about it. I asked for not even half my money back because I didn’t get the service I paid for, she agreed but when it came down to giving me the money she suddenly changed her mind, she instead offered to pay someone to fix my hair and when I even took the offer on that she decided to ignore me. She also has a full set of my $ 350 hair which I’m guessing she’s deciding to keep because she won’t reply. I wouldn’t recommend her

Came in for a cut/​color with Julie D about a month ago… I absolutely loved the results. I brought in a photo and she hit the nail on the head. I still get compliments. The salon itself is cute and the other stylists seem friendly.

Stacie was fantastic! She really listened to what I wanted and was able to completely repair a very bad highlighting job I had gotten done elsewhere. She is also going to help me embrace my curly hair which I’m looking forward to. I’m so happy to have a new stylist!

Stacie is the best ever.
I went in for the first time ever and said I want zooey deschanel bangs. She hit the nail on the head and everyone keeps asking me where I went.

I called ahead and asked if someone would be able to cut my hair last Friday and got to go ahead. I walked into the salon and was ignored for 3 minutes before a hair dressers client said «is anybody going to help that girl».
I was then informed no one was a available (even though I’d checked!) and I could come back Saturday at 3:45. I tried to take a salon guide with me but the stylist told me it was useless and to just call her and gave me her number on a post it. I found another salon who actually wanted my business.
The only positive thing was the clients. They all seemed very happy and that they were enjoying themselves.
