0 star. Sign says closed at 10pm but always kick us out at 9:45pm and all the staff ALWAYS give us really bad attitude because we are their last customer of the night. AND this is not the first time they give us attitude even if we go early at noon time.

Large and bright grocery store, very cold inside. Variety choices for fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood.

Do not go to this market, they don’t give bags plastic or paper. Talk about cheap, trying to save money by making it inconvenient for your customers(smart move) I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Bring your own bags! I didn’t realize that when I went just last week(I live in the part of the OC that still gives out bags for free). I love this place. I don’t know why I love it as much as I do, but it seriously just has everything I need. Love it.

Not a serious review, but I kinda saw this comment on Unilocal Home to write a review and found it funny. You’ve checked in here 3 times! What keeps you coming back? A: My grandmother.

I love this market, so glad I came across it. They have really great deals and fresh seafood, which is my fave! They also have a lot of the ethnic food you can’t find at other stores. I also tried the pork dumpling at the little food spot and it was pretty yummy. If in the area it’s a must visit!

Came by here with my husband this afternoon around 4 pm. We were just in the area and thought we would look to see if there is something that would inspire us on what to make for dinner tonight or tomorrow night. This market has a few other vendors at the entrance(right when you come in), like Kiki Bakery and this once place that sells dried fruit/nuts. There is also a great selection of seafood in the back of the store at a pretty good price($ 3.99 per pound for live blue crab and stone crab for example). Upon this visit, there was an employee steaming dumplings(which we both ate because we were feeling a little hungry), which helped to promote a few brands of dumpling on sale today(3 bags for $ 9.99). The store looked pretty standard to other Chinese markets. Aisles were clean and organized. The store did not have an odd odor. Employees here do speak English in case you need to ask them about a certain product(they are not fluent in English so use simple English when possible). Overall, place is A-Okay(thus the 3 stars) and has your standard Asian fare that you would expect at another Asian market.

This location is not big as the one in San Gabriel. The stocks are low too. The store is pretty clean and doesn’t have funny smell.

Beware before buying fresh noodles that are packaged!!! Yesterday I purchased a package of fresh noodles. Today I went to open it and it had tiny traces of mold. Who knows how long it was sitting there, I wish they had sell-by dates. I threw it away already or else I would have posted pics. Other than that I wouldn’t buy anything from here unless it has a visible expiration date.

I walked in here to get ingredients for dong po… and boy did I get some dirty looks. I’m not sure if it was because I’m not Asian but I felt that I was getting the stick eye from everyone here! As for the market it self the produce did not look fresh and the bok choy was crawling with bugs. The place did not look clean at all. I will continue to go to 99 Cent Ranch Market until I find something better

I wish this supermarket had more of those exotic fruits you find in Thailand. I left sad that I didn’t find fresh durian, jack fruit and mangosteen. But on the other hand they have a vast selection of imported snacks and teas

You walk in, there’s a smell that s not agreeable with my olfactory nervous system. The fruits and vegetables prices are cheaper in comparison to 99 Ranch or Ralphs or Albertsons. However, some of the produce are not as fresh. as for the meat… hmmm some are questionable and prices are community standard. prices .not competitive to the community. If you decide to shop there, bring your own bags or if you ask for bags you’ll be charge ten cents per bag.

SF markets located either here or in NorCal are very similar. They’re less then clean – they are priced generally fairly cheap, but again you lose out with cleanliness. I’ve never had an issue with customer service… but I just don’t ask a lot of questions or expect a lot. The meats are good and produce too and they have good sales on snacks and stuff. Just don’t have expectations like an American grocery supermarket and it’s fine.

This grocery store is much closer to me… but I prefer the location in Rosemead to this one, any day… and I usually drive to Rosemead instead! This store is much smaller and seems more run down than the other location… not that any Asian grocery store is fancy schmancy… but this particular location is worst than others. The 99 Ranch not far away is cleaner but prices are more expensive. I’ve been here a few times after work as it’s close by and it’s around 8pm when I get home from work so I don’t really have time to go to Rosemead. The produce section here is much smaller. The fish here also doesn’t seem fresh. The few times I’ve gone here looking for fresh fry that they clean and fry for a quick and easy dinner… I’ve left and ended up eating something else because the fish here doesn’t look appetizing. I would much rather drive than go to this store. I’ve been here several times and I thin every time I just left, either not finding what I wanted or finding what I wanted but I ended up not wanting it as it didn’t look good. There is also no food court in this location… but they do have a small jade market and sell random things on the sidewalk at the entrance. You won’t find me here because I’m at the one in Rosemead instead!

Eeghhh… Iihhhcckk… Eeeeehhhww… I don’t know man, I just don’t know. Honestly, I should’ve known, but I didn’t. The smell, the air, the products, the floors, the people… I just don’t know. It’s a given that only Asian markets offer a kind of musky, murky smell and awful service that most American markets don’t have. The smell is caused by the open-faced seafood, dusty and sticky product shelves, rotting fruits and veggies, and scuff laced floors mixed with smooshed, rotting veggie guts. Yeah, that’s the smell. Sometimes you’ll be lucky and fill your nose holes with the sweet smell of bulk foods at the entrance(variety of dried fruits and jerkys) or a ginseng dispensary. I give this market 2 stars because… while the aisles have some neato products from China, Hong Kong, and a surprisingly wide variety of Indo-Chinese products, most of these products are EXPIRED. Expired with dates back in March 2013. i know that certain items could be used passed the date but, when it has a thick layer of dust or a moldy, crusty exterior, it should be thrown out. Also, the seafood department really irked my irk… Dead fishes with wide, blood shot eyes just staring at you in desperation for some ice. The fish carcasses just laid there in the open at room temperature, baby squid swimming in their own room temperature slime, and fish swimming in murky swamp water. GROSS! BLEHHH! What also irked my irk was watching how rude one of the fish guys were. A customer asked for 2 big fishes and the fish guy said there were no big fishes and continued to argue with the customers when they clearly see the fish they want. The fish guy even dropped the customer’s fish on the floor because his net was too small. SONOTCOOL! Heh, so 2 stars for dirt filled shelves, zombie fishes, and uncool employees. Skip SF and go to 99 Ranch or HK2. Happy shopping! NOT!!!

Finally found a place to buy fresh fish that provided just the cod fillet we were looking for! At a great price too. I scanned the produce for Chinese cooking needs, and I definitely think I can recreate some of my favorites from Taiwan. We are definitely coming back here even just to see what else is available. There’s a «jade market» inside, similar to what I’d see in the Taiwan street markets. Kind of felt like walking through a mall near my old home in Taipei. =) We grabbed some Boba on our way out, as well as Zhongzi because its June already and I miss my dragon boat team~!!

Great spot for fresh veggies, and Cheap Oysters!!! .79cents each beats out 99 ranch at .99cents each! I find out of all the asian grocery stores in the immediate area, this place consistently has the freshest produce, meats and fish! Here’s a little tip when choosing oysters! NEVER get the ones that are already open=DEAD and never buy the Long skinny ones=99% of the time there is a TINY Oyster inside

It’s a bit on the grimy side. Workers there are grumpy and the wait in the lines are long. But I do love the selection of candy and drinks that they have, I do love trying them. The produce can be a hit or miss depending on the day. They have several stores in the front. Kiki bakery, a jewelry store, a store that sells asian dramas. Parking can be tricky since it’s popular.
