Skinlosophy Day Spa

This spa is typically closed Sunday, but will open if you make a reservation. So I scheduled a facial for me, my mom, and sister. I purchased 3 of the $ 50 for $ 70 Unilocal deal and the basic 60 minute facial is $ 70. But they allowed us to select the 60 minute calming facial for $ 70 as well. But when one of the skin care techs heard we were using the Unilocal deal she whispered to the other tech that they should just give us the $ 50 facial. So that soured things a bit. But I already purchased the Unilocal deal.
I walked into one of the rooms and it was small but clean. However the clock above the door ticked really loudly and spoiled any chance of relaxing. The products used on my skin smelled great, was supposedly all organic, and made my face baby smooth. But didn’t really do anything to tighten my pores. But it’s been a couple days and my skin is still super smooth.
My mom was not pleased with her facial. She unfortunately got the tech that made the comment about our Unilocal deal and I think she didn’t get a deal at all. The tech kept going in and out of the room and each time she came back to the room my mom said the tech would bump into her table and jolt her out of any chance of relaxing. Even my sister who was awaiting her turn, because they can only do two facial at once, was perplexed with why my mom’s tech left the room so often.
When it was my sister’s turn she thankfully got my tech. She was so relaxed she fell asleep. But my sister can also fall asleep standing up.
So I think the tech you get really matters. But overall the amenities and quality of the actual facial is not worth $ 70 and barely the $ 50 I paid via the Unilocal deal + tip. 3 stars for my facial, two stars for my mom’s facial, so really 2.5 stars.

With increased stress at work and weather forecast swinging from hot and dry to cold and humid, my skin has been prone to breakouts and sensitivity. I’ve been long overdue for a facial and tucked away in a building primarily serving medical services was an oasis waiting for my arrival.
Upon entering the aesthetician asked me to complete a simple skin survey to customize my experience. I was then directed to a private room where I was given a wardrobe change and allowed to rest as my skin specialist began to prepare the treatment. With soft music playing in the background and hydrating creams gently massaged over my face I felt like I was in heaven. When the hour treatment was finished I could feel my skin radiate from within. Skinlosophy definitely produced a solid experience and if you’re in the area you should definitely check them out.

I haven’t had a facial in years, and since my skin is occasionally prone to breakouts and acne, I recently decided to get a facial before my trip overseas.
The lady who did my facial was Mrs. Chu and she was the nicest and most professional esthetician I’ve had work on my face! We had a really engaging conversation throughout my one hour facial in which she explained everything that she was doing. She has over 20 years of experience and she gave me tips and advice on how to better take care of my skin. A head and shoulder massage was included in the service and I drifted off to sleep several times, since the whole experience was really relaxing. She even made the extraction process incredibly bearable!
The location is located on the second floor of the plaza and there’s a sign right outside the door. Inquire about package deals for the best pricing! I’ll definitely be coming back for future services!

We all need to pamper ourselves sometimes and Skinlosophy is perfect to come by for a full spa experience! You can get a facial or get your nails done. I got a facial done after a long week of work and Qian Qian did such an amazing job for providing the ultimate relaxation and amazing facial massage.
I enjoyed how the rooms were all separate and every equipment in the room was new and extremely clean.
I got their signature hydrating facial which is a $ 70 value but they have Unilocal specials going on so make sure to take advantage of that.
Every room had relaxing classical and relaxing music and they give you a clip towel to wrap yourself in.
I had pretty bad allergies going in and they start the facial with an amazing humidifier that opens your pores and just feels so soothing. I was not too sure of what products they used and I kept my eyes closed the whole time enjoying the whole experience, but it felt like an oil massage, a gentle exfoliate, more facial massages around the face, arm, neck, and she picks any bumps you may have that can be easily removed. I was not a huge fan of the scent of the final moisturizer they used, but everything was perfect!
I had some dry skin patches after being in the sun for too long and Qian did a great job exfoliating the surface of my skin.
They are primarily Chinese speakers so we had a slight language barrier, but we were able to get by!
I highly recommend to come by this place for a stress reliever, a girls day out, or just to pamper yourself. It’s so worth it.
This place is pretty hidden and its right up the stairs, not the elevator.

I never I guess that I need a facial service. It was my first time getting facial done, I can said it was a unique positive experience.
Their located in a plaza in the second floor. The interior is cozy and has comfortable chairs. They had about 3 rooms. The service I had was the Signature Hydrating Facial which is focus in treatment in the face, and the neck. The room that the treatment playing classical music, which help relaxing. The staff here are Chinese. Some speak better in English than other, so best ask ahead if you don’t speak Chinese.
Since this is only time I did my facial treatment, so I can’t really compare. But does it feel like a nice face massage with some additional cream and treatment added up.

I’ve finally found my go-​to salon for facials! I’ve tried most Asian salons– and while they’re decently priced… I’m never a fan of their products. Asian places tend to use over-​perfumed products that make my skin flare up. Finding a salon that uses healthy and organic skincare products is rare… or extremely expensive.
I gave this place a try after reading the reviews. First off– the customer service is exemplary. All the ladies there are sooo sweet!
The facial I got was HEAVENLY. Mona was my girl– I got the 90-​minute organic facial. It was so soothing– the products felt great on my skin! This was maybe 4 days ago– and my complexion is glowing!
I’d give this place 6 stars if I could!

Worst eyelash ever. I could’t sleep because the eyelash was so firm. I will never go back to this place even it is cheaper.

Tried facial here, $ 70 for 90mins clearing, I would like to say, Qian Qian is my life saver. The product they use is super natural, I can smell fruity. I don’t really have acne and my skin type is normal, and recently my skin become very dry. Qian Qian did a great job, she help me take off my make up and clean my face twice. Use exfoliate to scrub and so on. I really like the way she massage me. Warm and gentle. I can feel my bone become relax. I add a little bit aroma oil in to my facial because she suggest me to use tea tree oil to calm my skin. I think it’s worth to try this place everyone. Thank you Unilocal to let me find this place.

I love this place. Employees are all friendly and treat customers like a family. If you come often they always remember you and have a beautiful good service. and professional, the store located at a medical building.:)

Went to this place for my first facial ever! I have sensitive skin so I was nervous at first but the girl I had made me feel very comfortable and relaxed :) My skin feels great with no burning, itching, or pain what so ever. Great and relaxing experience overall!

What a beautiful experience today at Skinlosophy Day Spa. I was greeted with great customer service by Wendy. Did I say GREAT customer service? Then Qian Qian went above and beyond on the massage. Did I say ABOVE and BEYOND? She Listens to what you say and pays close attention to details. Be careful though if you go mid day like I did you won’t want to go back to work. You feel that good! Definitly worth to try this great place.

Love this place! It’s VERY clean, very quiet and has a great atmosphere. I’ve had a series of 5 microdermasion facials and they’ve done such a great job! These ladies really take their time with your facials so plan to be there for a while! My skin has been so looking so smooth and my breakouts have really decreased. Don’t be afraid to come here, these ladies really know their stuff ;) thank you! Btw they have a natural organic line of skincare that’s wonderful!

I have been coming to Skinlosophy for more than two years now. I can’t express how much I appreciate my esthetician, Janice. I had been struggling with my oily skin for it caused many skin problems. I tried many facial salons to improve my skin condition, but no one seemed to be able to help me. Fortunately, I found this place through a friend’s referral. I received the facial treatments once a week for about a month, and within that time, I saw noticeable improvement in my skin. My pimples slowly disappeared. My pores were getting smaller and cleaner each time. And I started seeing Janice every three weeks for deep cleansing and check ups. In less than three months, I am no longer struggling with my skin, but I still go there once a month for skin maintenance.
Products: The product I used the most often was Eminence. You may check this brand online. All the products under this brand are made with organic ingredients; hence they are safe and good for sensitive skin. They also categorize products to meet the specific requirements of different skin conditions. Of course, Skinlosophy also carries other brands like Skinceuticals and Mognolia. They are all effective and reliable products.
Cleanliness: The guestrooms are clean and relaxing. They change the bedding and gowns for each customer. Each guestroom has a sink so employees can wash and sanitizing right away. There is a Hot Towel Cabinet & Ultraviolet Sterilizer to keep towels and skin care tools warm and disinfected. Restrooms are also important for many customers. The restroom is always clean as if someone just cleaned it right before I walked in. They always provide fragrant hand soap and lotions.
Service: To be honest, Janice is the only person that I really talked to. She is friendly. The best thing about her services is she never pushes customers to buy more products or treatments. Of course, Janice will recommend some great products and services, but if I tell her I need time to think, she is totally cool with it. This salon has wonderful customer service in every respect.
Price: Last but not least, of course prices are important. I can’t say prices are inexpensive, at least not for me. BUT BUT, they have really great deals about twice a year. If you deposit certain amount of money to your account, you will receive up to 30% OFF on your facial care and the products! They don’t sell the packages like other places. Call and ask about their service. They have excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and accommodating prices.
Overall, this place makes me happy, and I have already referred several friends to Janice! Thanks to Janice and Skinslosophy, my skin has never looked better.

Great service, quiet environment, beautiful décor & interior, just totally the place for dolls! Highly recommend girls to do their nails there because they are pretty pro & full of ideas. Basically, it is got the level right there which has everything you are expecting for a nail salon. Some people might think it is quite expensive but I personally think it is worth the price. Would def go again & would probably just stick w/​this one for massage & nails.

Janice rocks!!! My whole family comes to this salon for facials for awhile now. She is one amazing aesthetician who really knows her stuff. Also, Janice is also very meticulous with her work, she will never rush the facial. For me, she spends forty minutes just extracting all the blackheads on my face and neck instead of just the T zone (most aestheticians only focus on the T zone because thats where the most congestion is). This salon is one of the very few around the area that offers oxygen and eminence facials (at much cheaper prices than those other salons in Los Angeles). If you need a high quality facial for lower prices, this is the place to go.
