If you go into a place with a bad attitude and a penchant for drama, you probably won’t have a good experience. Oh my God! They had the nerve to take out the trash and leave the lid on a table! Let me take a pic of it! Weird. This place is clean, cheap and delicious. If you come here to eat a breakfast pastry, you’ll love it. If you come here just so you can write an exposé about a trash can lid, you should really get a life.

Tried this place because of the good Unilocal reviews. The good: it is a donut shop, and the donuts are good and inexpensive. The bad: the young man behind the counter didn’t ask if we were eating here or taking it to go(we were eating there), so we wound up having to use an open napkin as a plate/placemat. There are two tables in the place, and both were covered with remnants of the last person’s meal(which he saw me wiping off before we sat down, and didn’t come over with a cloth or anything). If that wasn’t enough, one table had the garbage can lid sitting right in the middle of it(gross!). The young man was absorbed by his phone too much to actually put a bag in the garbage can, clean off the tables, or pretty much do anything other than take your money. The bagless garbage can had a folded newspaper in the bottom(to absorb any leaks?) that was from March. Yes, March… this is October. Disgusting. I hate to leave bad reviews, but I don’t trust a food establishment where employees think garbage can parts on the eating surface is an ok thing.

These donuts are above the best! Family owned and operated. Been eating here over 17 years. Fresh and hot, and their dough is unbelievable. Love them.

I’ve lived in rowlett 15 years, and these are far and above the best donuts in Rowlett, maybe even Dallas! They are always fresh, moist, and usually still warm! I consider myself a donut expert, and I’ve tried them all in rowlett, and various other places all over Dallas, and these are the best. Owners are extremely nice too and they always throw in a couple freebies!
