Kiki Beauty Supply

I have never been to a place so rude in my life. I will never step foot in that store again. I’m not sure if they’ve had bad interactions with their customers and that is why they treat people the way they do; but either way, I am urging you to NEVER step foot in this store. Here is what happened to me:
I was directed by my beauty salon to quickly step into this store to gather some supplies. When I was in there, I stopped and picked up a pair of false lashes. Deciding against it, I put them down and proceed to the check out. As soon as I put my items on the counter the cashier asked about the lashes. I told her that I didn’t want them anymore and that I put them back. I take it she didn’t believe me so she went to the lashes to see if any were missing. At this point I was upset but since my mother owns a business herself, I know how costly theft can be. I then pointed to the lashes and showed her that the display case is still full (to capacity) and that there is no slot that would show missing lashes.
Instead of this being the last of it, she then called one of her coworker’s to directly stand behind me (i’m talking within two feet from my body) while she reviews the security footage to ensure that I didn’t take the lashes. At this point I WAS LIVID! I told her that I am a contributing member to this community, a person who’s family owns businesses in the community, and to top it off, I have a masters degree and is now a social worker in the community and that this is not how you treat your base. I then let her finish reviewing the tapes and let her know that I will never step foot in that establishment again. When she was done, I gave her back all of her items and left with my $ 50 and went to Hair Stop.
Though she may have valid reasons as to why she may be cautious of those shopping in her store, NEVER have I been treated in such a disrespectful way. Please go to another store in the community. It doesn’t matter that this woman happened to of a different race then her clientele, what should matter is that a business treats it’s customers with RESPECT.

The place is named KiKi but its run by an asian women. I went in to buy a couple scarves for hair bows. I tried one on, no problem so I picked out 2. I went to show my fiancé how they looked and I saw the asian lady making some weird faces behind me in the mirror. I turned to her and she said «don’t put them on please please». How am I going to know how they look if I don’t try them on? Plus I was going to buy them anyways so did it matter? Her attitude really bothered me so I put the scarves down and left; she wasn’t getting my money after that.

I completely agree with the other review.
I came to Boston 3 years ago for school and it walking distance from where I live that is the only reason why I go there. The store received one star for the simple fact that they have some of the items I need for my hair. The owners are rude. They aren’t even polite when you pay. No one greets you. There are usually 3 employees (usually creepy men) who are paid to follow you around the store. You can’t even read the back of a bottle without feeling eyes peering at you.
If you live in the area and you need an item quickly, go in and get it. But if you want to ask questions, smell products and receive good costumer service definitely go somewhere else!

Hi all, I have been living in this area all my life and I am License Cosmotologist. This place has very bad customer service. The owner never speaks and does not show any interest in any thing but your money. They treat every one like a criminal. I use to work across the street in a hair salon and I would frequently spend my money here. I guess what put the icing on the cake was when I went in and tried to use my 10% discount. To my surprise the owner has changed his policy there is not a discount on weave any more? Mind you I have been going here getting that discount for over 5 years again it is all about money here. I say don’t go to this beauty supply go less than a block down to hair stop. They have more options great customer service and their discount is for cosmetologist on all products. Oh and they close early when they feel like it. Today I went there 5:30pm and they told me they are closed. I know they close at 6:00.Stay away!!!
