I like this place a lot i usually describe it to people as if red robin actually tasted like gourmet burgers and had good fries also without the corporate chain feeling.

I really like this burger place. The menu is simple, the ingredients are fresh; fresh meats(no frozen preformed patty), fresh toppings, the buns are good as well. The atmosphere is an eclectic mix of burger joint meets pub. The staff is very friendly, which makes customer(s) feel welcome hopefully causing them to frequent this establishment. Which I will be doing because the food is awesome without the price gouging most restaurants in this area tend to do. Thanks for keeping it real Burgerz. The waffle fries are a must. The only thing I think will improve this business is the size of the patty. I like the roundness because it covers the bun however, the thickness could use work. The taste of the patty was perfect. I’ll be seeing you soon.

Family loved the burgers and the waffle fries. My kind of place inside, loved how it was set up. Prices are fair and the food is good. Had a barbecue burger & blue cheese burger it was spot on. Chili cheese waffle fries… say whattt

Built my own bacon cheeseburger for my first time here. It was great, except for the fried egg I ordered was fairly tasteless. But everything else, including the canned Rockstar was fresh! Cool Five-Guys-like feel with a bit more local vibe. Wifi seems to be fairly quick too!

I took my wife out here for an adventurous date(adventurous because of Royal Oak construction, RO parking, and that we’ve never been here before.) They have waffle fries! I mean, that’s like 3 stars right there… right? =) But in all seriousness, the craft your own burgers were made exactly as ordered. They were juicy. I thought the patties were a little thin, but they fit on the bun well. My wife thought that there was too much bun, but they’re kaiser rolls. We both got shakes and they were both delicious. Mine was the oreo shake, she got the chocolate. I do think that the price is good for a date night, but I would never eat there regularly. I can’t justify spending $ 40 regularly for burgers.

Best burger place!!! I got a boca burger and it was amazing. I love that there are vegetarian options and a vegan boca patty. Every other burger place has bean patties so it’s nice to find a place where it’s not only beans for vegetarians. My boyfriend got a regular cheese burger and loved it too. Waffle fries and Nutella Shake were amazing also. Wish I could eat here every day!!! :)

I’d give this place a higher rating as their burgers have always been fantastic, however my last dining experience here was pretty sub par. My girlfriend and I were just a little hungry so we decided to just share a basket of chicken strips and fries. We waited about 30 minutes before inquiring about our order, which they had forgot about. And when they did bring it to us, it was the child’s size portion. The food is good, I love their spicy ranch sauce, but the service was just a tad poor on that occasion. I think the girl at the register was new. I’ll be back again and hopefully the place will be back up to snuff.

The beef in Burgrz’s burgers is very moist and tender. You’re given an extensive variety of buns and fresh toppings to choose from. These burgers are mammoth but you’ll bite through them like a stick of butter and the flavor is off the charts good! Their onion rings are the best I’ve ever tried and they come with a delicious dipping sauce. The sweet potato waffle fries are amazing as well; crispy & sweet but not too greasy or salty. The tables, bathroom, floor and countertops are all kept clean. My mom wanted to dine here on Mother’s Day and she, my dad and I had a great time. Our food was delicious. It was brought out to us remarkably quick and our server was warm and attentive. Couldn’t ask for more. My family and I will definitely be back.

Got a carry out from here with a couple of friends while working in the area. I’ve eaten here twice and have the exact same review for both times actually. Price was good. Burgers were big sloppy messes which is fine with me! Almost wish there was a way to keep them together a little better but with all the stuff I had on mine, I imagine that that’s probably impossible! Got the California burger. Delicious. The waffle fries are money too. Nothing insane. Just good, cheap, sloppy, greasy burgers with a bunch of insane toppings! All good!

There is nothing I can say bad about this place! My family wanted to take me out for a late Birthday dinner and I really wanted a burger. So I checked Unilocal and voila! Rated number one in the Royal Oak area. Burgrz is a small charming burger joint. Very clean. Simple. Few TV’s. Awesome photos on the wall from the local area. You pick your protein. There is a nice long lengthy list of free toppings, as well as premium toppings. I liked that there was a choice of cheeses! American, Cheddar, Swiss, Provolone and Pepperjack. I’m a pretty simple person. I got a cheeseburger with provolone, mayo, ketchup and BBQ. My boyfriend and I split a waffle frie and a Nutella milkshake. Burgers are made on kaiser buns. The patties aren’t too terribly big but the burgers aren’t messy at all and you don’t have to fork and knife them. Fries were great. Not undercooked. Not overdone and not overly salty. Helllll yeah! I also tried the onion rings and they are the bomb. Not too greasy. Very large. Hand battered(I didn’t even know those still existed!). Shake was pretty good too. We got it to go so I may have enjoyed it more with a spoon rather than a straw. You could definitely taste the rich Nutella though. Portions are pretty big. And sides are large enough to split amongst a few people. Restaurant was very clean and service was excellent. Very fast and everyone was well taken care of. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a great burger place. Very basic on looks, but the burgers are great. I would order the onion rings with their special sauce rather than the waffle fries. The waffle fries are quite basic, but the onion rings are delightful. I would definitely go back. I would give them 5 stars, but I didn’t care for the super basic theme. It kind of reminded me of a Burger King. That said, I would go again. The place also seemed quite clean. I would say try it out

Burgrz on Main Street in Royal Oak is pretty good. The burgers are solid but not spectacular, the waffle fries are fabulous and the atmosphere is cool. Seriously, the waffle fries were the highlight of our meal. We got a large order for about $ 4 and split it among two of us which was about right. They are light, crispy on the outside and nicely chewy on the inside. Perfect! The burgers themselves were fine but far from the best I’ve ever had. They also only have five«signature» burgers listed on their menu board which isn’t enough. They have lots of ingredients to build your own burger, but I generally like to go to a spot and order one of the chef’s core offerings, as he/she intended it — even at a burger place. Rolling my own kinda seems like cheating. Speaking of the menu board, I noticed after I ordered that they also offer chicken breast, turkey, veggie, black bean and boca. It almost seems like these are an afterthought. If they are serious about non-burger alternatives, they should develop some«signature» offerings around those and feature them on the menu, too. Other notes: they have quite a few bottled beers available and at good prices. They have a few flat screen TVs with the game on but it’s definitely not a sports bar vibe. Minor gripes: They serve bulk ketchup and mustard in the prepack pump dispensers like you see at amusement parks. Kinda ugly. And it’s a Pepsi-only place which isn’t my preference. But overall, it’s a good spot. The location is great, prices are good and offerings are fine. I’d like to see them work on the menu layout and some operational details to elevate it to the true elite of burger places.

Very well done here. They certainly bailed me out of a tight spot when I had a social engagement at the Royal Oak Music Theater which was *supposed to* have a lot of great food for me. Turns out the food was all finger food, and was categorically lousy. I *needed* a meal at 7PM in downtown Royal Oak on a Friday. You can imagine how crowded the city was at that time. Burgrz turned out to be just as good as its Rochester predecessor. Thankfully they weren’t packed(30 minute wait at B Spot a block away), and they were willing to do absolutely everything fresh… including the bacon that I wanted. I must say: that burger was very, very good. True, I was good and hungry by the time I ate it, but it wasn’t overcooked, the beef had lots of good flavor, the veggies were crisp, the bun was toasted perfectly, and it just came together in the best way possible. Absolutely none of it went to waste. The waffle-cut fries were also surprisingly good, which is actually kind of surprising. I ate all of those, too, and quite happily. Hot, fresh, crispy on the outside, warm and inviting on the inside. Delicious. Mountain Dew was Mountain Dew. Their soda fountain machine was clean and working correctly. Actually, that should be mentioned: the place was quite clean! I didn’t have to «find» a clean table, they were readily available. Bathroom, too, was clean. The staff was of good cheer and quite accommodating. They certainly did their work with a good attitude. My only complaint would be that it was a bit on the expensive side($ 12 out the door), but considering my dire circumstance and their location, I can live with it. Had it been $ 10 instead of $ 12, it would have been five stars, I’d say. One other caveat: their milkshakes are made with soft serve, and for me, that’s a no-no. It may not be a deal-breaker for everyone, but I guarantee that they lost a sale because it’s not what I consider to be a *real* milkshake(made with hand-dipped ice cream). Other than that, though? These folks saved my evening. Turned it around, actually. That’s worth $ 12 to me on a Friday night when everything else is packed.

Tonight was my first order from Burgerz. My parents order from there every so often, and they ordered from there tonight while my husband & I are in town visiting. At first my burger was good-until my bun fell apart. I couldn’t even make it halfway through the hamburger before it almost fell on the ground after it fell apart. More worrisome was the fact that the aluminum it was wrapped in smells like a dirty sponge. I would bite into my hamburger(which I put back in the aluminum after the bun fell apart to keep it from falling apart further) and smell dirty sponge, but I couldn’t place it. I don’t know what’s up with that, but I couldn’t even finish my burger. Who knows what was in the aluminum before my hamburger was in it, but that was gross. The fries were mediocre and almost cold despite our order only being placed 15 minutes prior to it getting to the house-which is only 10 minutes from Burgerz. This is my first and last time eating Burgerz. I am fully grossed out and still hungry. Never again. EDIT: Just mentioned this to my mom, who said that they were cleaning up(though still open for another 15 minutes) when she got there. Someone probably absent mindedly washed the counter and then used it to hold the aluminum that was wrapped around my burger. Still, that would mean that they were not paying enough attention to what they were doing, and I won’t be ordering from them again.

OMG yummm!!! I used to come to Burgrz about once a week until moving out of the area– they make delicious cobb salads with tons of bleu cheese, avocados, and eggs on crispy fresh lettuce. I sub a gardenburger for the bacon and chicken, and they never bat an eye or give me a hard time about making the change. Burgrz is kind of a cross between a fast food joint and a diner, with free wifi and wine/beer. Of course, if you are a more traditional burger person, you can load up a burger with tons of toppings, and for healthy-eating folks, you can wrap the burger in a lettuce wrap as opposed to a bun. Don’t forget to order the sweet potato waffle fries :))) Crispy, fresh, and delish.

While it looks like it’s trying to be a «high scale» Burger place, the Burgrz name and price may disabuse you of that notion. I went in not really knowing WHAT to expect(just that I was hungry and wanted a. er… burgr). I was delighted at the taste of both the Burgr and the Waffle Fries. It has that Just off the Grill taste that most chain burger places can’t provide. I will say it is good that they offer Free Wifi, because those addicted tot he «internets» may find that toward the back of the building is a bit of a dead-zone for the AT&T inclined among us. In truth, the biggest downside is being stuck in the middle of the most rigorously patrolled Parking Ticket zone I’ve ever been in. Royal Oak must have some sensors on the meters that dispatch police immediately. I put money in the meter even though it may have very likely been a parking holiday. Better safe than sorry. If you are nearby looking for a burger, check out Burgrz!

Burgrz legitimately has a case for serving one of the best burgers in Royal Oak for the price. For a few dollars more than a Whopper, you get a massive and extremely well cooked creation plus a solid selection of choices for toppings. After perusing downtown for something new, I cruised by this place and remembered it was recommended to me by a friend. I decided to stop in early one Saturday afternoon and so begins the journey. After being greeted instantly by the friendly young lady at the register who was very attentive, I rambled through my order and she patiently got everything right. Within 5 minutes, my plain bacon cheeseburger was served with chilli cheese waffle fries. Really delicious burger and the portions were so large, it was actually a challenge to finish. Comfort food, this place has on deck. Like clockwork, sportscenter was simultaneously permeating through each and every flatscreen ensuring that no red blooded american male could ever talk down on this establishment. Add a KCCO black lager served bottled and ice cold plus repeated check ins by the person who took the order and it should be no surprise that I give it 5 stars. Disregard the ill conceived name(Burgrz, really guys?) and give it a shot. I think its a half star better than smash burger and it definitely dominates most offerings from the bars of r.o. They have a good patio outside but the interior is super cozy as well. Perfect spot for those days when everything comes second to a damn good burger.
