Ace of Fades

Very impressed! My 4 year old son got a mohawk at one of the kids hair cutting places; he was in the chair about 10 minutes and came out with a crooked mohawk. I took him to Ace of Fades for his first barbershop experience. Lance did a great job fixing his botched mohawk, he spent 45 minutes giving him a professional fade. My son was very comfortable and loved his hair.

The shop is cool too. Lance and Tone are hella funny too great atmosphere in the shop. They have Tv’s and coaches it’s really comfortable.

Very Professional. I took my six year old son to Ace of Fades. Lance Washington is the owner and always makes sure you feel welcomed. It’s a relaxing environment. There’s comfy couches, a clean restroom, several pub type tables, and tv, if you just want to veg out for a minute while you wait. But, honestly all in all… the clientele, conversations, and fades are all a class act!!!

I’m IMPRESSED!
I cringe at the thought of having to take my 2 year old son to the barber shop. As it is, it breaks my heart to see him sit in the chair and cry such big crocodile tears when the clippers are turned on. To make matters worse, most barbers have you sitting around waiting for them, even when you schedule an appointment… Not Ace of Fades!
I scheduled an appointment with Lance Washington, the owner for a Monday night at 6pm after I got off work and after I picked up the kids from preschool. When we arrived, Lance was waiting for us. He introduced himself to my son and suggested we give my son a few minutes to get comfortable with the shop. Lance turned the TV to cartoons and then put him in the chair.
It was amazing, my son sat through the entire haircut and did not cry one time! Lance was kind and gentle with my son. He talked to him the entire time he was cutting his hair, reassuring him that he was almost done and that my son was being a big boy. Lance cut my son’s hair EXACTLY how I asked him to. I told Lance in the beginning that I did not want him lined. Lance suggested that we line just around his ears to give a bit of definition. I was a bit leery but went with it, and he was right, he looked GREAT when it was done.
The shop is nice and clean and it had a nice smell to it. They had nice music playing and the TV was on as well. My 3 year old daughter found a toy area that was in the shop, which kept her occupied and allowed me to focus on my son’s haircut. The bathroom was neat and clean.
I’m giving Lance Washington and Ace of Fades 5 Stars. Lance, I appreciate not having to wait and the extra care that Lance gave to my son!
