Aluminium & Stainless Weld Master

Jim was great to work with. He helped me save an expensive hood that I really didn’t want to buy new. He was very careful and though the hood. Was going to be repainted, he still protected it from getting any new scratches. I wouldn’t put four stars for this, but one critique would be that the welds ended up not being very neat in the end. The reason I wouldn’t dock him a star is because I didn’t communicate that expectation. I thought that because of his attention to detail, he would have done clean, even, consistent welds on his own. He did the job and said a grinder should clean it up, but it seems like grinding would weaken the welds. Again, I’m super pleased with him and the work, but for those reading this, it’s probebly better to learn from me, communicate your expectations. I’m pretty sure Jim would have been accommodating if I asked.

Jim was awesome and saved me about $ 150 bucks by repairing a gouge in the bed of my brand new alloy wheels off my Tacoma.
Called him on a Saturday, and he met me at his shop, opened up just for me. He took the time to explain everything he was doing, cleaned the wheel before he started, and was very precise. He even gave me an extra welding helmet so I could watch while he worked. Got the tire put back on, and am good to go.
Definitely thankful that I found him; I had (have) a heck of a week coming up, and getting this done over the weekend was crucial for me. Can’t guarantee he’ll take your job, as he is definitely one of those craftsmen who turns down as many jobs as he takes, but definitely give him a call. He is especially interested in more precise and challenging work.
