My family and I went to Basil’s for their Mother’s Day brunch yesterday and I was really impressed! We usually go to a nearby winery, but I wanted to try something different. I was a bit scared by the lousy reviews, but that wasn’t our experience. The place was packed, the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive. They had a huge selection of food as well as a crêpe/waffle area, perfectly done prime rib, and an entire room devoted to fantastic deserts. A pianist played at the front of the dining area and they gave each mom a red rose on entry. The entire family loved it! Our waitress didn’t even charge my mom because she is such a tiny eater — now where do you see that level of service? We will certainly be back.

If i could give this place ½ star I WOULD. My whole family went to Easter brunch here and it was beyond terrible. The primrib did not look cooked at all. Even the head chef agreed it was pretty much raw! The food was terrible the lady that was our waitress was horrible and rude! We saw her pick up a glass from a dirty table that the people had left and set it on another table becasue it was missing a glass! Do not waste your money!!!

Good ribs very slow service first night. Breakfast first day left, slow service again, tried to stop a waiter and then walked right by. Was not the only one feeling neglected there either a few people left. second day walked by and they were ready had two people waiting to greet you. Sat me got my coffee, took my order and brought my food very quickly. Also had lunch there that day. The food at least what i ate was very good. But their service is hit and miss. I think they did not anticpate people wanting to eat there. FYI had no car so was limited in places i could go.

Went to Basil’s a week ago before a concert at the Radisson. We made reservations for dinner for 8. Had a very nice table but NOBODY told us when making reservations that only a buffet would be offered. Most of us enjoyed the buffet. What we didn’t enjoy is the fact that they automatically tacked on a tip of 20% – for a BUFFET! Bad move. Won’t be going back.

Came in for the Christmas Day brunch. Got there right after it opened so we got to sit at one of the window tables that look out at the pretty duck-filled«lake» area. Major atmosphere points. Unfortunately, the chairs, carpet and windows were showing some wear, but no big deal. Wound up being very pricey. Sounded okay at $ 33 per but then they tacked on an automatic 20% gratuity totaling $ 86 for two of us. Couldn’t help but think that was a little much for someone who was only refilling our water and coffee. Gotta give her credit though, she went out of her way to be festive and friendly. Food was just average. It was attractively presented but pretty bland. The omelet station and sliced prime rib were nice touches. Also impressed that they served peeled jumbo shrimp instead of the smaller ones. Salads were great, entrees were blah and needed to be warmer. Champagne or sparkling cider were also included in the price. I heard the waitress saying they offer the brunch on Mother’s Day and Easter too.

This is NOT the Radisson you may be remembering with the fabulous Sunday Brunch, with omelet station, shrimp, salmon, blintzes and waffle guy. When we went for brunch yesterday, with reservations, we were told they«weren’t serving at the tables by the windows, only for dinner. Strike one. My husbands coffee came in a cup lined with what looked like cheese dip inside up to the rim. Strike 2. We ordered a glass of milk and were told they only had enough for oatmeal. Strike three. The buffet featured a rubbery block of scrambled eggs and what seemed like boxed potatoes. So disappointing. I have had better food and service at Denny’s, Country Waffles and Comfort Inn. For $ 62.00, we got overdone eggs, greasy bacon and a disheveled server. This means they are out and we are not going back there ever.

Had din-din here Saturday night. They have«Small Plates». My sister-in-law had penne pasta w/chicken and she loved it. I had a nice glass of Cabernet and the baby back chipolte ribs over mashed potatoes. Both were small plates and we got a good amount of food for the price! We loved the bread & butter too! The service was very good and we even took home leftovers. We had a nice dinner for $ 40.00(and that included tip!) — not bad for two people! Located inside the Radisson Hotel. Afterwards, we saw a show outside in the Grove. I really like the outdoor venue and the way the stage has a lovely cascade of greenery domed over the top!

Located between the main ballroom and the front lobby of the Radisson Hotel. Ate dinner with a party of 8 on Sunday at 6:30pm. Ordered the beef stock soup, similar to onion soup, $ 5, the house salad with vinegrette with gorganzola cheese, $ 6 and the fried artichoke and fried calamari appy, $ 12 and ice tea, $ 2. With tax and various service fees, $ 32. $ 25 for food, $ 7 in various service fees, don’t know why I had so many fees unless we were in a large group of 8 or asked for separate checks… odd. Soup was excellent, not too salty with the cheese and crostini on top. The salad dressing was good, very tart and for a dinner salad, good sized. Quite a bit of fried artichokes and calamari, couldn’t finish it all.
