Big Bob’s Barbershop

I have been going to Bob since 1996, when I first moved to the Sacramento area. He never charged $ 5.99 for a haircut, and why would he. He charged $ 15 for several years and you definitely got your money’s worth. He recently raised his price to $ 18 to keep up with costs and etc. Most Barbers are charging this price or more for the old school style of hair cut you would receive. I have moved and don’t live close to the Barber shop, and have gone to several Barber Shops and pay same rate for a hair cut. But, I do not get the same treatment for the price. Bob is an old school Barber and uses a straight razor to trim around your ears and neck. Will cut your hair the way you want it, short, clean and consistent every time. I now drive 30 minutes every 2 weeks to see Bob and get the hair cut I want.
The shop isn’t in the greatest area and not visible for most people driving by. It’s not a fancy place, but I promise you the hair cuts are good and worth it. Bob is also a really good guy, honest and real. It’s a good Barber shop. Give him a try, you won’t be disappointed.

He is a rip off artist. I was looking for a new barber and stopped to try a haircut. I hat seen a sigh for $ 5. 99 cuts, so I’ll try it. He charged me $ 18. 00 for a regular hair cut. Man what a rip off. I’ll never go back and I will tell everyone I can to avoid this place. It may have cost me $ 18.00, but it will cost him a lot more in lost business.

Big Bob’s Barbershop is the best place I’ve ever been. He is extremely profession and caring for his customer. You receive the finest haircut around for an outstanding price. Bob appreciates his customers and makes sure you’re completely happy before you walk out the door. I highly recommend this place!

I was at the Base Exchange McClellan a while back. After picking up some things. I figured I’d go to their barbershop. 11 bux for a military haircut. They were too busy so I figured I’d get a 7 dollar one on the way home. I make a left off Madison onto Auburn and pull into Big Bob’s I figured it was gonna be a no frill cheapy. Well once in a while you get lucky. I walked in right before closing time. Bob was sitting down and Marlene was putting her stuff up. I asked if they were still open and could I get a haircut. Marlene said yes. I was a little leery but it’s just hair so… I looked up from the chair and saw the prices. This was no seven dollar job. I didn’t know how experienced Marlene was. She was taking her time being very meticulous. Wow! Probably the best haircut I’ve ever had. I didn’t expect a straight razor. I heard the hot lather machine and thought «okay this is cool». I would highly recommend this place. I’m a regular now. Big Bob and Marlene are stand up folks who value old fashioned customer service.

Big Bob’s is one of the best in town hands down! Being ex military or civilian you will love this old school barber shop! Bob remembered my name after quite some time! Marlene always does a great job trimming up my goatee! I highly advise this shop! Once you do you will become a regular!

Olde school barbershop established 1965 in Foothill Farms. Straight edge razor shave around the ears, complimentary mustache and eyebrow trim. Bob is best known for his classic barber hairstyles. Fades, flattops, tapered, straight razor face shaves are some of the services that he provides.

First time customer and very pleased. I just needed a quick touch up and Big Bob took care of it quickly and professionally and gave me an unexpected discount too.

I’ve been a customer of Bob’s for years. This is an «old-​school» shop with barbers who take pride in their craft. You’re welcomed as you come in and invited into any conversation or you can wait quietly listening to some big-​band music. Both Bob and associate, Marlene, take their time and do it right the first time. They carefully trim around ears and clean-​up my goatee. When I lived in Stockton for a time, I would schedule a haircut every time I was back in this area.

Took my very old father in and Bob treated him right. This shop is old school, the way a barber should be. I could tell that Bob and the lady working the other chair did not cut corners. They take their barbering seriously and kindly. We’re going back.

Big Bob’s is an old fashion barber shop. Where you get quality service for a decent price. Professional with 20+ years of experience. I have been going to him for 6 years which is the best reference I can give. Reasonable prices and quality work. He’ll even fix the mess you got from the discount shop.
