I would give 5 stars but I have not had a sandwich here for a couple years. They did have for years a chalk like board with all the different sandwiches listed. Crazy and fun names for each sandwiches, delicious sandwiches!!! The sandwich makers take care on making sandwich, they put alot of work in each one, and have fresh ingredients. Have to get back in, I drive on J St. way too much not to stop in and get at least one, maybe I will buy 2 and freeze one.

Great sandwiches. Love the towering inferno as well of the egg salad. Only downside I will mention is the service… sometimes you get a smile but most of the time they look like they don’t even know what a smile is. Still I give them 4 stars because its about the food to me especially at a place like this.

Best sandwiches in Sacramento hands down. I moved to Miami, LA, and Las Vegas over the last 7 years and I still haven’t found a place to compare this place to. Every time I come visit Sacramento I have to make a stop into this place.

I just found my new favorite sandwich spot! Forget Subway it’s all about Bön Air. The meat is so tasty and they do not hold out on you on the topping either! This is a must go to once a week spot for my now!

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place yet! Since my friend introduced me to them a few weeks ago, this has quickly become my go to lunch sandwich spot. The people behind the counter are nice, helpful and efficient. The sandwiches aren’t too heavy — but they’re plenty big! The bread is light and fluffy. They don’t skimp on the toppings(veggies, cheese, salt and pepper, etc). Plus since it’s technically a market, there’s tons of choices for chips and drinks! Even though the outside doesn’t look like much and there’s only a few plastic tables outside, the food and service make up for it and I will happily keep coming back!

I’ve been coming here since about 2009, i have always enjoyed their sandwiches. But i do have a favorite. Since then it has gone up $ 3 since then. $ 8 for a sandwich that barely fills you up? No way. Better off going to the store and getting all the ingredients and making 5 of the same sandwich. Probably the same price!

The Rock-n-Roll was a decent sized sandwich with a good helping of meat. It was tasty but really no different from Togo’s other than the amount of meat on the sandwich. I wasn’t impressed with the $.55ATM fee and $.89 credit card fee they charge. Seriously, who still charges ATM fees?! Four stars for the amount of meat.

Great Sandos for a great price. The people are great. 2 blocks from work. I get a sandwich here at least once a week. Great selection on chips. I love it. Great selection on drinks… They have sanpellegrino.(Which is hard to find at a deli) The turkey avo is great, the pastrami cheese of great, the egg salad is amazing. Yum yum yum!

Be hungry! Be fearless. You can go with a stsndard or live it up with one of their signnature creations. Share one with a friend, if you are so inclined. I mysrlf have never had such an inclination! I have had little ones and could easily cut a half into quarters and everyone happy :^). We’ve had friends comming ovrr to watch the game instead of some dry generic standard party sub we otdered of all our favorites from Bön Air. I mean damn, Your favorite sandwich with your favorite cold beer watching the game with our favorite idiots, all is good in the world. Nothing is as good as your idea of the perfect sammich! Their is a well established stsndard of quality and consistency. No big disappointments. Anytime we’ve called ahead, Our order, no matter how big, has alwasys been ready When promised, and with no mistakes. Its the. good stuff!

This isn’t the sort of place you take out-of-town guests to show off Sacramento’s restaurant scene. It’s a neighborhood sandwich shop, and a very good one at that. Besides all the standard meats and cheeses you expect to find in any decent deli, they have a wide array of interesting combinations with creative names, many of which are local or political references. On this particular visit I had the Super Jumbo, which is turkey, Swiss, and two kinds of salami. I had it on sourdough, with everything(meaning mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and red onions). Delicious! Occasionally they have a heavy hand with the mayo, so if that’s going to be a problem, you might want to speak up before they slather it on.

Today we got the tuna on sourdough with everything, and we also got a turkey on a roll with cream cheese and lettuce and tomato. As always, this place has the best ingredients so, no matter what you ask for, it’s amazing! best place in downtown for a fresh really delicious sandwich.

While walking into this deli, i was excited to try their sandwiches. I asked the worker which sandwich was popular and he recommended me number 18, the international sandwich. The worker stated, it was«hella good». Therefore, i ordered that on a french roll bread with pepper jack and provolone cheese. While waiting for him to make my sandwich he was starting up a conversation with me and was very friendly and personable. I liked that. I must say, i was not impressed with the sandwich and thought it was mediocre. Nothing really stood out from the sandwich and i thought it was pretty pricey for what it was. Overall, i really liked the personable customer service. I did not like the credit card fee. I thought the sandwich was pretty pricey for what it was and nothing really stood out about it. I wouldn’t mind trying this place again and ordering a different sandwich.

Not much special about this sandwich shop. Good solid ingredients but it’s really just a high-quality Subway. Doesn’t stand up to specialty sandwich shops like Sandwich Spot or Bread Store.

When my non-Yelp friends ask me where the best sandwich in Sacramento is, I tell give them at least 4 – 5 different options of where to go. However, I tell them my personal favorite is «Bön Air Market & Deli». I’ve been coming here for years; simply because the big portions, low price, and exceptional service is truly what makes this place shine in all respects. Now keep in mind, I’ve been here at least a few dozen times. And for those of you who drive faster than normal on busy J St. in Midtown Sacramento, you will not even notice it. Located on the corner of J &25th St’s, «Bön Air» has been a fan favorite of locals as far back as I can remember. One surprising thing is that I mentioned this place to several of my Unilocal friends at a UYE(Unofficial Unilocal Event) and a few of them have actually never heard of it! As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, the location is hit or miss. The only noticeable way to recognize this little gem is the blue awning that reads«Bön Air Deli» in white lettering. On non-rainy days, you will also find several outdoor tables and chairs for eating. On the inside, its your typical market complete with everything you need(sodas, chips, candy bars, water, beer, and other various snacks). However, their deli is what makes this place shine. I usually always order the«Bön Air Bomber»(for $ 5.49) as my go-to sandwich of choice. This bad boy is packed with layers of turkey, ham, cheddar & Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. I usually add avocado spread and sprouts to the mix. And my favorite bread of choice is their soft French roll. However, on my most recent visit, I decided to go towards a vegetarian sandwich and try something different. In this case, I ordered«The Avocado»(for $ 4.69). This thing had all of the elements of the«Bön Air Bomber» but they used way more avocado spread(½ of an avocado for that matter) and I decided to spice things up with pepper jack cheese and sprouts. As soon as I sat down outside on a beautiful January afternoon, I unwrapped the parchment paper and I was sold on one bite. The creaminess of the avocado that meets the spiciness of the pepper jack cheese and crunch of the sprouts really made all of my taste buds go crazy. And to top it off with that soft French bread, this was one of the best well put together sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. If I had to go vegetarian for a whole year, I’d eat one of these every day; its just that damn good. And those of you that know me know that I’m a big meat eater. All in all, «Bön Air Market & Deli» is one of(if not the best) sandwich shops in all of Sacramento. And surprisingly, the prices on all their other sandwiches are very affordable; a rarity to find in Midtown Sacramento. The gentlemen that makes these sandwiches behind the counter are super nice and always in a great mood. With that said and done, I highly recommend coming here to get your sandwich fix!

This old general store has been serving up large, meaty sandwiches for twenty years with forty different varieties to choose from. I became a fan of their deli years back because this is where I first discovered liverwurst.- a fantastic tasting, spreadable sausage made from the livers of pigs and calves. Liverwurst is one of their meat options(along with turkey, pastrami, ham, roast beef and salami), an assortment of cheeses(American, Swiss, cheddar, jack, pepper jack and provolone) and dark and marble dye as one of their choices of bread(along with sour dough, whole wheat, light rye and a fresh 6″ French roll). No-frills sandwiches prepared the way you like it with plenty of options and at very reasonable prices. Bön Air Deli has a large, comical, artistic menu board — with cartoon characters and caricatures of famous people, offering an incredible 40 choices of sandwiches, and loyal patrons are welcomed to come up with their own creations. My personal favorite is the #6 — Ding A Ling. Turkey, ham and liverwurst stacked between my preference of dark rye bread and Swiss cheese. A good mix of flavors and textures with the right amount of saltiness. Look for the picture of Homer Simpson right next to it. The deli features a daily special for only $ 3.99, which can include any number of their choices of meats and cheeses. Their award winning egg salad sandwich options are recommended for those that are not much of a meat-eater. Vegetarians have some options too. There is the #12 — Vegetarian(avocado, sprouts, Swiss cheese and pickle chips), #16 — Green with Envy(avocado, artichoke hearts, bell peppers, cucumbers, sprouts, lettuce and pickles), #31 — Avocado(½ avocado) and #36 — Lite Bite(cream cheese, Greek peppers, artichoke hearts and sprouts). Bön Air also have an impressive variety of chips, soft drinks and juices. A staple lunchtime establishment for local patrons that closes at 4 p.m. on weekdays, and 3 p.m. on Saturdays. There is a sandwich choice for just about anyone here. The variety of sandwich choices, good quantity and very reasonable prices(most sandwiches are under $ 4) will have people clamoring to come back again and again.
