Please read carefully. I love Dr. Serdahl; he’s been my doctor for over five years.
I hate the office staff and it was enough to make me leave and go to another opthalmologist. The girls in the front office are rude and act like entitled brats.
No thank you I’m done.

Love this place! The staff are super friendly and attentive. As a new patient, making an appt and registering was virtually painless. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The front desk made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Definitely recommend!

Dr chun had me dyin the whole time, and I forgot her name but the lady who helped me pick out my frames was very helpful as well.

Dr. Jones has been my doctor since I was very little and I have always loved how friendly he is! I have also seen Dr. Chun, who is also very nice. Occasionally I have been put off by the attitude of the optical staff, never towards myself, but I have overheard their interactions with other patients and they are not always very professional. Other than that, this is a great practice!

Dr. Chun is awesome! I took my two girls (7 and 5) for their first comprehensive eye exam and he was so patient and thorough but also made them feel comfortable by being funny. It’s not easy putting dilating drops in little kids eyes and not having them be afraid, but he did it!
I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for an optometrist and/​or ophthalmologist. I have been seen by both doctors and am very happy with their follow up and service.

I’m not a patient here, but I do transport a patient here. I have to say, from experience, that I noticed while waiting, that the assistants and people at the desk have a really short and slightly rude attitude with mostly everyone.

I had a very pleasant and thorough first visit with Dr. Serdahl and I was impressed with his friendly manner and professional expertise. The office staff were very busy but polite and thoughtful.

Sometimes, you just can’t trust what you read on Unilocal because my experience with Dr. Serdahl and the heavy set Asian lady w/​glasses at the front counter was horrible!
The heavy set Asian lady was literally arguing with her co-​workers as soon as she started her shift. I took a mental note right away.
As soon as I walked up to the counter to let her know I was there for my follow up appt, she looked me up and said that I did not have one and chuckled. I told her that I had just received a phone call from her office two days before, confirming my appointment, but to my dismay, she argued with me and said it wasn’t in the system. She was extremely rude.
Okay, on to Dr. Serdahl. I had already met Dr. Serdahl at my initial appointment and I don’t know if he was just in a bad mood? But he was a total jerk. He seemed agitated by something from the onset. I was glad to get out of there.
But it gets even worse. Not only did the office discover that they had made a mistake and accidentally canceled my scheduled appointment that day, but Dr. Serdahl ACTUALLY took the heavy set Asian lady’s side, defending her and literally told me that if I didn’t calm down, that he would throw me out of his practice!!! This was all in front of other patients in the waiting room.
My advice? RUN!!!

LOVE Dr. Chun. My favorite optometrist I’ve had so far.

Love this place had my glasses ready in less than 4 days and my insurance covers more than 80% of the total cost.

Very dissatisfied. Woman was very interested in selling me the most expensive lenses only. Come on, 250 for lenses only. She was angry when I questioned her about the price and instantly wrote VOID on the paper and got down right mad. Go elsewhere.

great service by both Patty and Lori. They helped me pick the right glasses (first time prescription user); they steered me toward progressive lenses, which I love. They told me what to expect and to have patience with the experience with the lenses til I became comfortable with them. They also had a really nice trendy pair of Armani sunglasses which I bought with bifocal lenses. It was painless to get back and have the glasses adjusted after a few weeks of wear. Really recommend. Easy parking, and adjacent int he same building with my eye doctor (Serdahl).
Also, they worked with my insurance and ensured I paid bottom dollar, in addition to a summer discount. Two awesome pairs of prescription glasses (one sunglass) for less than $ 300 cost to me.

Nice office very professional. But be prepared to wait to see doctor for eye exam. I waited ½ hour in exam room too long in my opinion. Patients have schedules to keep as well and being a health professional myself this is too long without someone checking in. Wasn’t happy ~
But in the end Optometrist did a good job regardless
of time management issues.
I would recommend office to my friends just bring a book.

I went to Eye Site to buy new lenses for my glasses.
Lori spent 20 minutes navigating health care plan voice mail, unsuccessfully trying to find out if insurance covered replacement lenses. I followed suit.
During my lengthy periods on hold, I told Lori to forget the insurance, and charge me the regular price. She repeatedly counseled patience which paid off to the tune of $ 140 in savings. Thanks, Lori !
The lab returned my glasses ahead of schedule.
90-​day warranty on the prescription (if I’m not happy with how the new lenses correct my vision, I can return them along with a new prescription for replacement).
One year lens warranty.
Patti showed me how to properly clean the lenses without leaving streaks, and gave me a new case for my glasses.
Off-​street parking in back, open during lunch.
Right price, excellent service, friendly staff = five stars.

Great friendly staff! They helped me pick out the perfect pair of sunglasses. They were really attentive even when it seemed to get busy. Another time i came in with conjunctivitis and they had me in and out really fast. I will be referring my grandmother to them soon!

I had a «incomplete stye» on my inner left eye lid. The stye became hard «like a tiny rock» and it was scratching my cornea causing a lot of pain, tearing and inflammation. I found Eye Site Sacramento office through Unilocal because it had a great rating plus they open at 8:30am (I needed to see a professional right away). Since I was in so much pain, I figured I will walk-​in at 8:30am and see if they can squeeze me in. Well, Susan at the front desk was very pleasant and she was able to fit me in between their busy schedule (as I see patient walking in one by one). I saw Dr. Serdahl. He was very comforting and gentle since it was a very sensitive eye area. He got rid of the «tiny rock» in my inner eye lid as quickly and as painlessly as he can. I felt so relief!!!

When my eye doctor of several years retired, he referred me to Eye Site Sacramento, and I trusted his recommendation. I ended up being seen by Dr. Serdahl, who had a friendly demeanor and made me feel comfortable.
I also found their selection of eyewear to be very good, and both women who work in the eyewear area are helpful, knowledgable, and professional.
A couple of issues keep this from being a 5-​star review. Number 1 is that their clientele is predominantly elderly folks – not that that’s a bad thing, but it tells me they really need to work on their outreach to a younger clientele. Also, things move awfully darn slllloooowww in that office. Catering to a largely older clientele also means the eyewear selection leans toward that demographic – although I was able to find several pairs that were stylish and in my «age range.»
Secondly, when I called to make my first appointment, I was definitely put off by the rudeness of the person answering the phone. I was tempted to hang up and go to another doctor, but I trusted my retired doctor’s recommendation and figured the doctors here would be good, despite the poor attitude of the receptionist.
