My favorite place to escape the office for some caffeine. Oh, and The Best Thing Ever will haunt your dreams. Just try it.

This is one of the best hole in the wall coffee spots in downtown Sacramento. Located on the corner of 13th and N St, across from Capitol Park. The space is very small and the line can go for miles, but worth it. They have a variety of baked goodies to fill your belly and to get your day started. I’m not a foofoo caffeine guy, I go for the regular drip coffee. It’s not your folgers either. Good choice of exotic beans, from strong to mild. So this place is a must for those that need a boost.

I stopped in for breakfast and coffee during my business trip to Sacramento since it happened to be close to the Capitol building. It’s a tiny little spot and coming in the taxi, I almost didn’t see it. The line was out the door(although not hard since it’s so small) but even so, I didn’t wait too long to place my order. I got a café au lait and breakfast veggie sandwich for a what seemed a reasonable price of about $ 7. I was a little confused when they gave me my cup, but it’s because they have several different types of coffee out. I got their Guatemalan one, then gave it back to the barista for milk. The coffee was very good. So was the sandwich, which came on a bagel(I got sesame seed). Mine had egg, spinach, and roasted red peppers. They weren’t stingy with the fillings and it was flavorful, so I was pretty satisfied. All the people working there seemed friendly and helpful. I’d definitely return next time I happen to be in the area.

Went here to try the pastries and drink varieties! We tried the ginger lemonade which was amazing! The ginger was very strong but refreshing! We had also tried the Mexican chocolate milk! This was amazing! Had a genuine flavor! We also tried the horchata! Which was good! Didn’t taste like the typical Mexican horchata but very close! Next time I want to try the dirty horchata! We had also tried the empanadas which were good but I should of gotten one with meat! Next time ;) next we tried the best thing ever which was amazing but it was a bit overwhelming! Last we tried the raspberry fillies croissant which was quiet tasty :) overall I loved the variety that was provided under such a small establishment!

I used to really like this establishment. Today I went in with my girlfriend, ordered a breakfast sandwich, and sat down. My girlfriend who was in line immediately after me also ordered a breakfast sandwich and was refused. The extremely rude cashier would not allow her to order the remaining breakfast sandwich on the grounds that they stop serving breakfast at 11AM… it was 10:58. Seriously? Poorly done. With so many outstanding coffee and breakfast establishments in midtown we will happily be taking our business elsewhere and encouraging others to do likewise.

I love this place. Even though I don’t drink coffee I still like to stop by and grab stuff to eat. They are always super cool and are really fun to talk to. I highly recommend going here over any of the chain coffee houses around downtown.

This is the best café in midtown. The mochas and drip coffee are amazing. The pastries and staff are so ace. Even better, they appreciate Star Wars . I am so lucky to have found this lil spot. I highly recommend the almond croissants! And the Chicken empanadas!!!

This place is the best ever. they make the best coffee and have the best pastries. The best part of it that its very inexpensive and is much better than Starbucks. It’s a local business, and its not like these other yuppie local coffee shops, Fluid is there to make great coffee and pastries and you leave satisfied. Its is great for any state and non state worker in downtown to walk to and get your coffee, bad part I work father from there now and I wish they delivered :) but worth the walk when I get a chance.

Small whole in the wall across the Capitol building. It is a place that is usually visited by state employees in the mornings and lunch time. The place is small with no seating available inside, however, there are three tables outside. Parking can be a little difficult to find do to the state employees and visitors. I had the onion bagel with hummus and veggies; it was delicious! Panini toasted bagel and a garlic flavor in the hummus. I also ordered the horchata. I was stoked to see that it was made with almond milk; a rare find. I ordered it dirty(two added shots). Will definitely continue to visit when on the go and looking for a quick snack.

The more often I come here because of my coworkers, the more I actually turn to like this place. I used to write this off as a place that just serves extremely sweet drinks, but you come to find that they are actually really delicious. So far what I have gotten from here are: A Matcha Croissant: The matcha custard-ish filling wasn’t overwhelming sweet. I ate it kind of fast but enjoyed every bite of it. If you like Matcha, you should definitely pick it up here. An Almond Croissant: Pretty standard how they made it, but I enjoyed it a lot. There wasn’t an excessive amount of almond on the inside, but enough to make you satisfied. A Matcha Latte(hot): They make their Matcha Latte a bit sweeter than how Insight makes it, but I didn’t mind it much. I’m glad it wasn’t excessively sweet and still maintained it’s green tea flavor. I’d definitely come back for this. A Carmelita(Iced): Pretty sweet. Vanilla, Caramel, espresso and milk. I thought it was going to be tame but it certainly packs quite the sugar punch. I wish this place was open on weekends because I’d definitely come on my days off from work. They make their pastries as well and they are all fairly priced/on the cheaper side of things. A simple drink and pastry can range from 3.50−6 dollars depending on what you’re going to get, but most other places can easily go from 5.50 and up. It’s a real value to come here, and I don’t think you can walk out of here disappointed at all. The range from their specialty drinks to even the simple drip coffee they have out(I saw 3 – 4 different types of drip coffee for your pleasure). There’s definitely something for everyone.

THOSEEMPANADASTHOUGH! This place is a small hole in the wall that nearby State employees often frequent. The coffee is good and the pastries are even better! I wasn’t too impressed by my chai tea latte(too watery for my liking) but I came on a Friday, which is the chorizo empanada day. Each day features a different type of empanada, and I am sooooo glad I had the chorizo empanada. It was HUUUGE and filled with eggs, potatoes, and spicy chorizo. They toast it for you when you order it and when you take that first bite when its hot out of the oven, it is heaven. I honestly had to skip my lunch that day because I was SO full from breakfast. Whoops. Can’t wait to come back to try the dirty horchata — a horchata with 2 shots of espresso!

I was in Sacramento today for a work meeting. Usually, I am disappointed by the places near by the Capitol but today I discovered a little gem called Fluid Espresso Bar. This place is a small store and all the limited seating is in the outside. I got a black coffee and the chorizzo empanada which was pretty huge. This is definitely my new coffee and breakfast spot in Sacramento. I’d definitely tell my other colleagues about this place good coffee and good food! Coffee was large and under $ 3, the chorizo was huge and was $ 4.5!

On every weekday, many Downtown employees, residents, and tourists are heading for this most popular place called, «Fluid Espresso Bar.» Fluid Espresso Bar has all the best, quality food and drinks faster in no time! As I entered there on 9÷11÷2015, the atmosphere is quite small, yet very crampy here as I was trying to move apart for awaited customers. The service and the manager has done a fantastic job here for making the best customer service ever had in years. Their orders have done it right, and perfection! No cons at all! For the ordering choice: I ordered the Iced Fuji Pineapple Green Tea and the Plain Beagle Bacon Breakfast sandwich. So far, these two tasted remarkably good! The breakfast sandwich tasted very top notch which it baked very crisp and eatable without any marked burns. The bacon, poached egg, and authentic American cheese also tasted outstanding! Finally, the Iced Fuji Pineapple Green Tea is very flavorful! I can feel the pineapple flavors right into my mouth as well as the green tea too! Not a bad meal at all! The parking can be tougher. You can park it at the surface street parking as possible. Otherwise, you can walk, ride a bike, or using a public transit easier without the hassles. In the end, Fluid Espresso Bar is the best mini café shop right in the heart of Downtown Sacramento! A well worthy visit! Highly recommend!

Working near the Capitol? Need breakfast and a cup of coffee? Go to Fluid! One of my favorite coffee shops in Sacramento, Fluid Espresso Bar has everything you need for a great start of the day. They also serve lunch food. + Mochas Their coffee consistently tastes great! I really enjoy their seasonal flavors, especially the Hazelnut Mochas. I occasionally get a Latte but I believe that their Mocha/Chocolate drinks are the best. You do get to pick what kind of chocolate you want in your drinks(i.e. Nutella, White Ghirardelli, Mexican, etc…) which is a plus if you are into personalizing drinks. + Chocolate Croissants(Chocolatine) I love how their chocolate croissants(and all the other pastries) are made fresh/daily/in small batches and are still warm from being pulled out of the oven. The chocolate melts in your mouth, and the buttery taste of the croissant is just delightful. I’m always bummed when they run out of croissants, but you just gotta wait a few minutes before a new batch comes out. If you like cinnamon, try the«Best Thing Ever» croissant! + Service Extremely friendly and warm-hearted staff and owners. Always ask you how you are doing and engage in conversations. I would come here everyday if I could.

I decided to stop by here on a Wednesday morning around 7:30 a.m. It’s my second time here and I’ve been impressed both times I’ve gone. As others have mentioned, the seasonal coffee menu here is exceptional. When I came here in fall, I had a seasonal coffee drink made with real pumpkin purée and today had a seasonal mocha called Winter Fire. The coffee drinks are delicious and are highly competitive with any of the other big names in town… Temple, Insight, Chocolate Fish, and Old Soul. On top of it, the food is delicious here too! It’s rare to find good espresso drinks and food under the same roof since in my experience many coffee houses don’t offer many food items and the espresso drinks at most restaurants/cafes is subpar. Not here! They have house made bagels and today I got a plain bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The only downside is that they are very small and only have limited outside seating(might be nice in summer). Come check them out and get a seasonal coffee drink and bagel to-go!

Coffee and fresh pastries. Go together like they should. Gives me morning wood, just thinking of their goods. 7 blocks of concrete won’t keep me away. Yum yums in the tum tum, even on rainy days. This shop’s so tiny, so tiny, with no seating inside. Only a few tables beckon ever so lonely outside. Come sit, they say, and watch the people walk by. Down Capital Park they stride as I munch on empanadas with a salad on the side. This dipping sauce is so subtle, yet so sublime. What is it made of? It boggles my mind. Coffee is great, but the seasonal menu is where it’s at. Not to mention pastries made from scratch! Who knew a small spot would carry such an array? It blew me away like dandruff on a windy day! And can I mention the staff if I may? They work magic with their hands like 50 shades of grey. From breakfast to lunch — anything that tickles your fancy. Such satisfaction, the chef’s a cooking vigilante! So another morning, another chancy. I sip my coffee, take a bite of that pastry, and Oops, I think I just creamed my pantsies.
