To start off, I’m a waitress myself so I know how a server should be. There’s one server here all the time. Don’t know her name because she never bothered to tell me. I’ve been here several times because it’s down the street from where I live and all times were a terrible experience. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve never felt welcome. I felt as thought I was not wanted and felt a bother. They advertise boba but they never have it when I ask for it. The lady always seems irritated and rushes me and my family. They never ever answer their phone either. Won’t be back. Learn some customer service.

Don’t go here if you expect a complete meal for lunch. Went here last Friday and I ordered a Kung Pao Chicken it’s supposed to come with chow mein and a egg roll, but didn’t. So I had little bits of chicken and alot of vegetables and sauce. I called, and they told me to pick up the chow mein later that day. When I got there after were work, they were closed. Today Heidi lets me know that they close between 3 and 5 but it doesn’t say that on there website. She rudely informed that I could pick the chow mein and nothing else when I suggested that I should have the whole meal replaced. Not worth my money or my time!

Today I ordered the pan fried noodle with shrimp dish and it was dilicious. The total was 10.75 and the portion was huge! I really liked the fresh veggies and the variety of veggies also. Their shrimp is cleaned so well also. This is about the third or fourth time I ordered shrimp from here and it always tastes really great. The inside is all new, very clean, and is really nicely decorated. The air condition is also great with summer coming up. Everything looks upgrated and the new menu is so nice and easy to navigate. The customer service is very good as well. Nice guys working here and the manager is very nice. I will definately be coming back and will try more of their yummy food!

Went here during my 30 min lunch ordered 2 boba milkshake. Didnt get it until 15 mins later. 3 customers walked in got seated and got their food before I got my boba drinks. I dont understand why they only have 2 people service customers and cashier on a busy lunch hour. Wasted my lunch being left with 15mins to get back to work, not even enough time to stop by fast food. Horrible customer service never going back again. Not so much of «a happy place!»

Oh Kay. Let me start off by saying… HUGEIMPROVEMENTFROMWHERETHEYWERELASTYEAR. I walked in and immediately the place look brighter and more inviting. They have spruced up the place and changed the layout I almost thought I walked into the wrong restaurant. Then I ordered and the food was great. They removed all MSG from their foods(I know because I spoke to the manager to tell them I loved the improvements) I wish they had their bomb egg drop soup on a lunch special portion size but I ordered the full and am glad I did. I will have nice leftovers for dinner. Their portions are big too. Different lunch specials and I love love love it. Definitely a repeat for my lunch break and future meals!

First off the internet prices aren’t accurate. Unless the front lady added herself a $ 5 tip. Then we get the food and the chicken clown mein noodles are undercooked. The rice super stale and old. Everything had a fish smell to it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Too bad I had to give it a star.

First time ever going here… I waited 20 minutes for a chow mein, rice, and wonton soup to go… Everything was bland!!! The wonton soup had no flavor. It tasted like hot water with a few onions thrown in it… Total bummer! I would not go back or recommend.

What a great find! I visit a lot of Chinese restaurants, and most are just okay… in both service and food quality. This place was exceptional in both. The food had great flavor(I always order Kung Pao Chicken), and the sauce was outstanding! Hot and Sour Soup was delicious. Also, the servers are very kind, and very easy to communicate with. You can tell they care about their customers, and I love that. Even the music played is great. You would think a place like this would be more expensive, but it’s not. My entire lunch cost less than $ 10. I’ll be eating here at least once per week, and would highly recommend anyone else do the same. I had a nice conversation with Heidi, and it is easy to tell her customers are very important to her. What a sweetheart. Please eat there often!

Delicious! I just discovered this place & got hot n sour soup & order of egg rolls to go. Food is fresh & very tasty — I will definitely return to try their entrée & combo plate sometime. The server was very nice too :)

Here for business from LA where we have some of the best chinese food. Drove thru Rancho Cordova and found this place cuz I was starving. The name is not the most creative and I thought it maybe a notch above Panda Express. Lunch menu turned out to have a good variety of selection. All lunch special came with soup or salad, a fried wonton, choice of steamed white rice, fried rice, or chow mein. Extra for brown rice, get over the trend. You can add a drink for $ 1. So all chicken and pork dishes are $ 6.95, beef add $ 1, shrimp or «prawn«add another $ 1. It’s a good meal for the price and you will be full. The flavor is not bad. Kungpao chicken was good. Four stars for the quality in reference to the neighborhood that it’s in. If this place was in LA it be given less stars. Good friendly service.

This place is under new ownership. The service is great and the food portions are very generous and delicious. The prices are reasonable. For a fast Chinese lunch look no further.

I waited at least 15 minutes for someone to take my «to go» order. I ordered plain fried chicken wings and a Lunch combo. The«egg roll» was just deep fried wrap. Nothing was in it! I waited all this time to have under cooked food! My wings felt«fleshy» and was not even hot. I am disappointed and disgusted. This was my 2nd and LAST visit to this place. Wasted $ 11.24…Save your time and money go elsewhere! The young man who took my order also needs to work on his customer service skills. You can’t take my order and a phone order and sit the next guest all at once.

Another delicious meal at Happy Palace. Mongolian Beef, nice and spicy with just the right amount of heat!

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. I picked up my lunch special and when I opened it there was barely any chicken and it looked old like it had been sitting. Typically this place includes an egg roll and this time with no warning it had a rolled wonton(didn’t know they came rolled). When I called I talked with Daniel and he laughed in my face and agreed when I said that this was the worst wonton. I asked to speak to the manager, Heidi, and could hear her in the background saying I don’t want to talk with them tell them I’m busy and take a message. I stopped going here over 6 months ago as the last few times I went there that the service was atrocious and the ladies there very rude. I was trying to give this place another shot, but I won’t be making that mistake again. Took my lunch back and Heidi was so very rude about how she handled the return. Customer Service just seems to be lacking at this place.

They are now under new owners and the food and atmosphere has greatly improved. I only went to the«old» happy palace twice and I quit going due to the poor quality of food. Now that is under new management I will definitely be back. I had the green bean chicken and it was delicious.

It says they deliver. I called and the lady said they dont deliver unless I am having a party for 20 or more people. well it doesn’t say that they do not deliver on specific hours. Lady gave me attitude and told me that they have been there for 20 years and so on so fort… Wow. Seems like business is booming. Lol

WHOA! They did a fantastic job remodeling the place! It feels so much more inviting and appetizing in there now. I had some sweet n sour shrimp the other day for lunch, it was de-lish. Price is good, food is yummy and the service was awesome. I will definitely be back to try paper wrap chicken!

Four stars for customer service and their house fried rice. The two times I went in there to pick up my order, I was greeted by friendly smiles. Their fried rice is so good, I almost gorged myself to death because I want to eat everything before my lunch break was over. The chow mein was a bad choice. Even my coworker agreed that it tastes weird… like microwaved straight from a package. But that fried rice, though… Their chicken and pork stuff are alright. Lots of sauce, but could use a bit more meat in the serving.

I’ve been coming here for 15 years now, and I still have a tough time deciding between the sweet&sour pork combo, or the almond chicken. The wonton soup never disappoints. I’ve moved away, but I still drop in when I’m in the neighborhood.

Quest for a good Chinese place close to the workplace, tried many places and this was the winner for a fast Chinese meal. I always order sesame chicken with fried rice or chow mein. Good portions. Service not great, they have a more friendlier staff now. Fast yes. Convenience yes. So what takes the stars? The one entrée: sesame chicken, best in town. Cheap also.
