I had an opportunity to receive legal forms assistance with finishing up a divorce that I had already started. I couldn’t afford an attorney and I really needed help finishing up what I had started. I never would have been able to figure this out on my own. The Self Help Center at the courthouse wouldn’t talk to me in person. They told me to register for something called E-​Correspondence. They only wanted to communicate by email and their answers were clearly from a template and not specific to my case. The clerks at the filing counter told me they couldn’t give me legal advice of guidance.
