Been going her for years. My husband bought some OLDNASTY Dos Eqius beer yesterday. Popped two beers today and was the nastiest sh! t ever. He tried to return the beer today and was told beer doesn’t go bad –even soda goes bad and if that was true why is there a date on them — from last year I might add.

Be very careful buying white wine here. Fully half their stock is far past its peak, some of it likely undrinkable. This is outrageous. I was shocked, I drove here because of the good Unilocal reviews. But this is BAD! Most whites are meant to be drunk within 2 – 3 years of their vintage date. Today(August 2015) that means 2013 is best, maybe 2012 too. But I saw LOTS of whites four, six, or eight years old in here. LOTS! It looks like they buy discounted over the hill whites, then unload them at regular prices on unknowing customers. Having seen this, I personally would not buy wine here.

This place has been around for almost forever. I remember it back when it was Ernie’s Wine & Liquor; back when I was going to Winston Churchill Middle School just a couple blocks down the street. I am 48 today. It has always been a solid neighborhood liquor store. While half the area immediately surrounding it has changed over the years, Mission Whitney Liquor has continued to thrive. They have a great selection of wine, beer and liquor. I’m more of a beer guy, so I can tell you that they have a respectable selection of craft beers. It is steadily starting to takeover space from the domestic-mass produced swill we all used to drink. Their bomber section seems to be growing profoundly with more and more regional craft beers popping up. You can also find a decent variety of six packs and twelvers of regionally brewed craft beer. There are even a few rare regional craft beers that can be found here on occasion. I won’t say who because craft beer snipers can be clever. lol! I haven’t checked on kegs recently(I haven’t thrown a house party in years), but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they had some nice surprises back in the Walk-in. The gentlemen at the counter are always friendly and helpful. I buy my Lotto tickets here when the jackpots get ridiculous, and they have put up with me numerous times messing up my number slips. I applaud their patience. Ha! It’s typically clean and easy to move around inside. All the reviews before mine have been four stars, and that is a most accurate assessment! Four Stars, Cheers!

A liquor store in my neighborhood, always there when you need them, nice greetings when you enter, good service, a good selection of wines, liquor and the only thing that would make it better is if they had a food counter that served good chow. I can keep hoping the open one, in the mean time, head across the road and enjoy the fair at El Pollo Feliz

We knew right away from the very first day we moved into the area that this was going to be our liquor store. It’s clean, friendly, and appears to be completely stocked with all the top(and mid) shelf liquors that I would want a place to have and at a decent price. Mission accomplished. Totally recommend.

The guy at the counter is always really nice. And the stire is always stocked. There are no lingerers in front of this store which is great. Plus they are really close to my friends house. Walking distance..

a good neighborhood liquor store with a wide selection of alcohol at prices cheaper than any gas station or quick-stop.
