Mountain Mike’s Pizza

Against advice of my coworkers I decided to try this place out since it’s within walking distance. We walked in and payed quickly enough, there was pizza out and the salad bar looked decently stalked. After we got our plates we realized there weren’t any clean tables to dine in the primary seating area. At this point it seemed there was only 1 person working. At least 50% of the tables had dirty plates on them.
After bussing our own table we helped ourselves to salad and pizza. After eating some salad I realized that I forgot to fill my soda. I got up and fixed myself an Arnold Palmer and notice the soda machine looks pretty filthy. That’s when I start to notice the rest of the restaurant doesn’t look very clean either. The plastic soda lid dispenser had fingerprints that looked days old. After returning to my seat and going to take a drink I notice something floating in my soda… it’s MOLD!!!
I have worked in fast food type places when when I was a teenager and I know you are supposed to clean the soda machines, the spouts and the housing are supposed to be soaked in diluted bleach solution periodically etc. The lines also need to be maintanenced and flushed otherwise some of the most disgusting mold you have ever seen grows inside them. I KNOW what this mold looks like because I have cleaned it personally in lives past. This was mold in my drink. Unacceptable!
I go up to the counter to a gentleman I had not seen there when we paid. I got the impression he was the owner or a partner because he was older and behind the counter talking on the phone in his native language not wearing a uniform. When I brought my cup up and pointed out the mold he just couldn’t be bothered to stop his conversation, or apologize, or offer an explanation, discount or even a shred of understanding or responsibility. No, no, instead I was handed a clean paper cup (rather than another clear plastic one like I had before) and told in between his conversation to «try the Pepsi instead» wth?!? WHY would he suggest I even drink from the same machine? Try the Pepsi… what, so I can’t SEE the mold I would be drinking?!? That was it… he went back to his conversation and pretty much just hoped I would go away.
I will never be back to this restaurant again and I will go out of my way to persuade anyone I know from going there, this is my first step.

Not a whole lot of good things to say about this place, i come in and got help from the nice girl at the front, my transaction was smooth. But the food was not great, im sitting here righting this review and feel like i need to run to the restroom. But im a little scared of what that will look like since peoples buffet plates have been sitting here for 45 minutes. The salad bar was very unorganized and not labeled, i got surprised that i got blue cheese on my salad since the ranch looked the same.
Now onto the pizza, Mountain Mikes is typically good pizza, the ones i have been to at least. This pizza was not fresh and that was made obvious. I got here at 1:15 and they haven’t put our any more pizzas, all thats left is cheesy bread and salad (kinda)
This place was close to work and the only reason why i came here after reading the reviews. Let me tell ya, everyone that wrote a review was right.

Ordered a to go pizza with wings and jalapeño poppers everything was fine, pizza was good, however. The jalapeño poppers, I don’t know what happened. They’re cold and look like the haven’t even been cooked. Normally jalapeño poppers are fried. These… not so much. They’re just… white. And uncooked is the only thing I can think of honestly

This Place SUCKS. Pizza buffet is over $ 2 more after they add all the extra charges and crap on.
Buffet is cheap, they put out 2 pizzas at a time when you have 6 Cal Trans workers pacing the pizza counter like lions on a hunt. Then they each grab like 6 pieces each, thus wiping out the 2 they just put up CRAZY… REALLY!
Salad bar is horrible wilty lettuce, soggy olives. Just a very poorly run place that is looking at getting rich off as little as they can provide. I think there remodel put them in the hole.

Worst lunch pizza buffet experience ever. Proprietors put out only the cheapest kinds of pizza. Hawaiian and pepperoni, and sausage, All of the pizzas were two item, in other words sausage, and olive, etc… Then its one pizza at the a time. I sat for an hour hoping they would put out something besides there cheapest crap. No go Salad bar is ok, but for a few vegetables that if they were in my fridge at home would be thrown out. I live in the neighborhood and have been disappointed so many times and given this restaurant more than enough times to improve. Today was the last straw. Only my second Unilocal post, but today’s experience was enough to motivate me to take the time to post this review. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I enjoy the Mountain Mikes buffet on Fulton at Hurley where the salad bar is fresh, and they make lots of good varied pizzas, with the friendly guy behind the counter who actually asks you if there is something you prefer. So not all Mountain Mikes are as Poorly run as Bradshaw.

Messed up my pizza, had a stripper show on while kids were there, and we waited an extremely long time for our pizza to come out.

Here for the $ 6.99 lunch buffet… Which totals $ 9.70 with a drink. The salad bar sucks and the pizza is gross. At least the food took my appetite away.

So far the worst costumer service I called to make an order an hour and a half before they closed and they told me they couldn’t make PIZZA because they turned off their ovens way too early all I got to say THEIR STAFF IS THE LAZIEST STAFF I’VE COME ACROSS IN COSTUMER SERVICE.

This is probably the worst pizza I have ever had. I would swear they just put cheese and topping on the box and served it. It was very tough, burnt on the bottom and flavorless. I would have to think twice about giving it to the dog. The salad bar was DISGUSTING! it looked like everything was there for two days and no one filled it or cleaned it. I seriously wouldn’t bother setting foot in this place again. And just because I have to find something positive, the person who waited on me when I went in to pick up the pizza was nice.

I don’t like the guy who runs the place. He always acts like giving me the full order I’ve paid for is him doing me a huge favor. It’s the closest one to me but I’ve gone back to getting it from La Riv.

Went here in a Sunday ordered a Large Pizza and a salad with 3 drinks for our family. Went to get our sodas and Dr Pepper was clear (Aka out), so I tried Pepsi… Clear as well… Third pick of the nite was Sprite although it was clear it almost tasted like sprite so I sat down with it. My wife got a salad that was borderline safe to eat. When I went up to the counter to let them know of the sodas and soft cucumbers with brown edged lettuce I saw a sign that stated «SUNDAY SPECIAL 25% OFF LARGE PIZZAS» So I asked the young lady about the special and reminded her that we ordered a Large Pizza and it was Sunday! Her reply, «Ohhh thats only if you mention it or if I remember!» Me… Blank Stare! I told her if its advertised I want that deal and she stated she didnt know how to give a refund but would make me a small pizza instead. I went a few rounds with her and finally someone came over and gave me the difference in sale price which was almost $ 10. So if you want a pizza and fresh salad and a Soda that taste like soda then go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. This place sucks and deserves NEGATIVE 10 STARS. Seriously theres pizza spots on every block so just make sure you stay off of the Bradshaw block.

This place is right bye our house so we’ve come here a few times. No more! Prices are way to high for what you receive and on this night the salad bar was disgusting, food was frozen some was slimy to the point of borderline rotten!!! Are you for real? I did say something and they took care of it, but to little to late! I could tell just by looking at the owner that this guy would have more excuses then a wet paper bag so I didn’t bother! At 7.50 per person for salad bar you had better be putting out fresh product! Only thing they having going is the pizza very tasty, but at those prices they might as well be holding you up at gun point!!!

I’m not one to typically complain, so when I go out of my way to complain about a place you know it’s gotta be pretty bad. My boyfriend and I came in around 7:30 on a Thursday night and the place was completely dead. It literally felt like a ghost town there. When we got up to the register, one girl took our order. She was quiet but nice. After we took a seat we noticed that she disappeared into the back and began making our pizza. It was at that moment that we realized that she was the only person working at the time. She looked about 20. Might I add that this seems illegal? To have a 20 year old girl working BY HERSELF at night in not too great of an area?
Anyway, about 20 – 30 mins later, a family walks in and begins getting themselves salad bar without being rung up. Then one of them went into the kitchen area. This is when I realized they must own the place.
While they sat there watching tv, the girl alone was cleaning, fixing the salad bar, and everything in between. I felt bad for her. Also, the food was over-​cooked and not all that great.
Seems to me that these owners should learn how to treat their employees better. I will not be returning.

They have an incompetent, clueless staff. I live in College Greens and usually order from the La Riviera location. Last Friday, the La Riviera location was closed due to an accident so I called the Bradshaw location. I was then told that I should call the store at Folsom and Sunrise because it was closer to me. Since I wasnt in the mood to explain Sacramento geography before I ordered my pizza, I simply called Round Table instead.

Every time we’ve gone to this place the experience has been awful. The man in charge never gets our phone order right and is rude both over the phone and in person. When we picked up the order we even heard him arguing with a customer over the phone that was given the wrong delivery order that she had to keep it because he wasn’t sending someone back out. It was early evening! The woman at the front counter was friendly, but it was too little to late. We’ll never go back, the Mountain Mikes on Folsom tastes way better.

The owner made up for his poor attitude by hooking it up with appetizers with my order. He might have just saved a customer from going to other establishments.

Just had a Vegetarian Pizza and Loved it! Awesome Restaurant and looking forward to coming back!

Empty place, one worker was watching tv, one was in the back, and one was sweeping with a push broom over logo rugs which was filthy. Food was just okay. Not recommended.

Don’t know what happened to this place. New owner’s??? Pizza was terrible. I guess they are using frozen already rolled out dough. Back in the day they used to hand toss their pizza. Oh, and the service, forget about it! They make you feel like you are bothering them. Never again! Mountain Mike’s on Bradshaw I don’t recommend it. Save your money and go to Roma’s

I went here with my family and we all had the runs within 20 mins of eating at this horrible establishment. We had the salad bar and a pepperoni pizza. The salad bar was not up to par at all. The workers look like they didnt want to be there. We had to ask for more lettuce and dressing. they were not paying attention to the bar at all. Horrible experience all around. Please take the time to clean and prepare things the right way!
