This public department is a total abuse and waste of our tax dollars.
They provide horrible customer services.
We submitted our drawings to them. And they actually lost our drawings! Not one time, but three times! Unbelievable!
When review drawings, they are super duper finicky and narrow minded. One of the plan checkers (structural) came stuck on a glazing rotation and couldn’t think through the fact that the system to be installed is an industry standard tried and true common system.
Talk about stubborn, highly analytical-​analytical and introverted bunch of public servants, the OSHPD group plan checkers are the most lazy and rigid minded folks.
This agency needs major clean up and reform!
They are wasting our tax dollars and not paying us the public the servcies that we deserve! Instead, some of their plan checkers and staff members would express such «power tripping» egotisical comments. For instance, Sussett of OSHPD trriage could not locate a corrected drawing sheet since she knew nothing of our project. She immediately phoned us and told us that we did it wrong and that she will send the drawings back immediately. Upon speaking with her and pointed out to her that we were instructed by the Chief Architect to insert the corrected sheet into the original sets since the correction was extremely small. She wouldn’t admit her own lack of experience and oversight. Instead, she continued w/​her «power tripping» telling tone of voice to tell us what she is going to do, which was to speak to the Chief Architect herself. OK. At which point, I reminded that her job is a public servant not to be bossy to us. We are OSHPD’s customers. But no, lord and behold, Sussett responded with a statement that we were rude to her because we pointed out to her own very mistake.
OSHDP staff have a reputation of power tripping. They often forget that they are public servants. Their jobs are to serve us– the public, who are the tax payers. OSHPD is run and based upon our tax dollars. Without us, the public, OSHPD staff would all be out of job.
This is a very common trait amongst OSHPD employees: power tripping and judgemental. Laziness and carass. When they make mistakes, it is often us the public who pay for their mistakes.
For many of us, who have dealt with OSHPD employees, we are very sick of their attitudes!
