Where do I start??? Wow. Horrible customer service. From the first phone call with the rude lady on the phone to the last call with the owner in the background cussing at me like I’m his worst enemy!
My pool table was delivered in a huge box on a pallet. I took my pool table home to be installed by Pool table taxi. The 2 guys arrived and started installing my table. (They were good, very kind). They got to installing the table and realized there was no slate. Wow that’s a bummer the shipping company didn’t deliver my slate. No their fault.
I get a call from the lady that runs their office saying I am going to owe them money for the inconvenience. Okay I’m good with that… Wasn’t there fault my slate didn’t show up. And I didn’t purposely have them show up with no slate available. So no harm, no foul so far. I hear Mike «the owner» in the background cussing at me and saying how I owed him money. He also threw a fit about having to come back out to my house.
Mike relax, I’m willing to pay for the inconvenience. Oh no. He continues to fly off the handle and cuss. So that phone call ended with the office staff gal agreeing with how bad mike was talking and treating me bad. She stated she would get me back on the install schedule and call me later in the next week.
Today I get a call and the first thing she says was she is going to refer me to someone else to install my table. They don’t want to do business with me. So you take my money, take my old pool table I was giving you guy, (shame on me) and call me to say it’s better off we go different ways with business. The best part is they blamed me for being the difficult one!
I suggest to anyone and everyone stay away! They also made a big deal about paying them cash… Hhhmmm I wonder why??? What a disappointment to see a small business have no class and cuss at customers for no reason. Mike your business practices are shady.

This company changed the date twice. They gave the buyer who paid for the move only a tiny discount for this after inconveniencing both families w last minute changes. They charge TOP DOLLAR for this service. Our move was of a smaller 7 ft, 3 slate table. Not some huge beast– but they added $ 6+ per stair, an 8% fee for credit card payment — and so total was more than 2 x what we had paid to move it in originally. Close to $ 500 for a move of less than 3 miles! The two guys who did the move were fine and they did a good job. But this company is very pricey and a bit flakey on the scheduling side — and if anyone is looking for a biz concept in specialty moving, they could use some competition.

Honestly this is the worst small business I have ever dealt with. They have wasted so much of my time. They have used excuses that range from «being so busy we can’t get to you» to his kids are sick. I can understand being put off once but honestly this was the fifth time they rescheduled me to re-​felt my table and they were the one who offered to do it for free after they scratched my new floors on a simple move. After being put off today again I scheduled the appt for July 30 2016 at 3:30. We shall see. I have a sense of humor can not wait to see what comes! Good luck Pool Table Taxi!

Flaked on us day of move. I understand companies have issues but seemed shady. Should have flat out said couldn’t do it vs keeping appt and us wasting time on finding another mover.

Amey was very responsive in handling the logistics of a move of over 100 miles. The owner, Michael, made the trek out himself and set everything up. Wonderful customer service from both, would recommend.

I will give a 5 star for the moving part for Mike and Ryan but the lady who answers the phone is a B*t*h. She is very rude whenever i ask her any questions. These guys need a new receptionist before they lose more business. I did business with this company last year when i bought my table and i just sold my table so i wanted to do business with them again but because of the rude receptionist i took my business else where.

Awesome customer service. Friendly and efficient. They even helped us sell our pool table. They were in and out in no time and left the area cleaner than it was before!

Called for a move across town, scheduling was easy and they accommodated our time frame– showed up on time, very professional and personal. Will call them when we need new felt in the future.

These guys were awesome evert hung from the first phone call to the installation. Will definitely use them again for all our pool table needs.

I found this company from other Unilocal reviews. They were wonderful! The phone support was great and even gave their opinion on good tables to look for and what to assess before buying a table. They were prompt, Reliable, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will definitely use them in the future.

I was the seller of a pool table and the person who bought it used these guys to move their table. They were very professional, prompt and courteous. The pick up went great and they were very thorough as to ensure that they had all of the accessories too.

This business was selected by the buyer of our pool table to move it. They were flexible on a time that worked for us to be home. They showed up at the appointed time and went straight to work. They were professional and explained how they were going to do the job. They worked to protect our walls and railing — no small feat since the slate was thicker and was in a second story bonus room. From a seller perspective, they were awesome. I’d recommend them!

We needed our table refelted. Found them on Craigslist and made the appointment. Price was reasonable. They are in Galt and drove all the way out to Dixon with no extra charge. Another company we looked at charged mileage! They were on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. No issues. Table looks great. I will be recommending these guys to family and friends. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

These guys are awesome!!! We had our pool table moved yesterday & Amey was able to schedule our move with only a 2 day notice; she gave us both an email & phone call confirmation. The day of the actual pool table moved, we were given a phone call ETA and Michael and Ryan showed up on time… These two guys did an excellent job! They spent so much time taking up our pool table carefully apart as well as reassembling it way better than it was even assembled before… They made sure our table aligned perfectly & even took the time to remove ugly staples out of our leather pocket holes and finish them nicely with adhesive … Needless to say our pool table looks way better than it ever did before the move. You can definitely tell these guys know what they are doing! I’m shocked this company has anything less than 4 or 5 star reviews on here!!!

Pool Table Taxi is to be avoided at all costs! I have dealt with a lot of unprofessional companies and contractors in the past, but nothing like this group. The other reviews on here must be from friends, because my experience has been much more like the experiences with the low star reviews I read below.
Tried for over two weeks to get them to move my pool table. They were so unprofessional its amazing they’re still in business. After taking time off of work so that I could fit into their schedule, they cancelled at the last minute. They then did that two more times, each time claiming a «family emergency.» Finally found another great pool table mover who came out the very next day and did a beautiful job. Having asked around, I also learned that they’re not very professional in their work just like their scheduling.
Unbelievable? So frustrating. How does a company stay in business when it is run so poorly?
I would strongly suggest that you look for a more reputable company than this one. I just hate to reward such incompetence, which is why we finally went to another company.

Very please with Pool Table Taxi. Amy who handles all the coordinating did a great job from the start. She researched the felt we bought from an online distributor and made sure they new what they were going to be working with. They gave us a price we could accept for re-​felting only. Table was already installed and moved. Only the slate needed to be set. Once the guys came to start, they recommended we replace the cushions. The table we received from a friend and not familiar with the history and the cushions were apparently hard. We also put a lot of money into buying JackDaniels black label felt and they wanted us to be satisfied with the final product. Two days later (July 4^th) the day of our party, Mike (the owner) and his partner came back to finish the job. They did a fantastic job and just had to break it in and play a couple games lol. While finishing up they have their recommendations in where to place the table so we had room all the way around. Also told us we could get new pockets online pretty cheap and they would be happy to come back and install them. Table is DONE! Looks amazing and all our friends love it. Definitely recommending these guys to our friends who need pool table work.

This company should NOT be in business. Do NOT use this business. Their customer service and service in general is absolutely unreal!!!
Where should I even begin? First, see the photo of how they «leveled» the pool table. Are you fricking kidding me!!! Who the hell does that? We checked to see if it was even after the two guys left when they said they had triple checked it… it was about 3 inches off :(really? so we went to move it over and yep, playing cards and pieces of broken wood holding up the table. Oh and they didn’t show up until 6:30pm on a Friday on Memorial Day weekend and were here until 10pm when they were supposed to show up at noon. This was all after they had been over a week before attempting to set it up when they cut the felt wrong. Yep. They said they were coming back the next day. Never showed/​called. We called five plus times with assurance that they were coming back and finally showed up a week later.
Pool table taxi is horrible. HORRIBLE. No idea how they are in business. We were also told the owner was going to come out himself. He didn’t. There were also LOTS of nails and staples left on our brand new wood floors. WOW is all I can say. So crazy that people run business and stay in business like this. Unbelievable! I wish there was ZERO stars.

I read his reply. I do sympathize with his loss. I’m not sure if I believe him only because after he told me I just asked him when he would like to pick up the table. I experienced his getting back in touch with me only a result of trying to get me me to remove the negative review and not to make things right.
I can forgive a business person for something out of their control or being late, but he is still in business and doing business now and yet not trying to make things right. I can not forgive a business person for not having integrity and not doing what they say they are going to do. My promise still stands, when they do what they say they are going to do I will remove my comment.
