I had lost my wallet here and did have some suspicion of the employee that helped, given some of his behavior when attempting to see if they had possibly found the wallet. It took a few tries but Sac Sheriff was actually able to get me in touch with the owner who was EXTREMELY helpfully allowing me to review surveillance footage to see if we could identify if it was lost or stolen and by who. Unfortunately it appears it may have fallen out in the parking lot but we can not tell when or where. They get 5 stars just for going above and beyond to help me out in trying to recover my identity. They also have Knee Deep and Track 7 brews which are top shelf.

I used to frequent this store regularly while it was under the previous ownership. There was excellent service and I was treated well. However, the new ownership has caused the serious demise of this place. There is a very rude staff/owner. The guy at the register is ALWAYS talking on the phone the entire time from when you walk into the store, he rings you up, and after you exit. His conversations are loud on the phone, too. This is to let you know helping you– the customer– doesn’t come first. He never smiles and barely looks at you. One time as I was approaching the store to go in, the cashier was outside talking loudly on his phone and decided to go inside right before me. He knew I was right behind him, but let the door behind him slam in my face. Also, the stock has deteriorated. I used to go to this store so I could get some pretty nice craft beers. For a while the new owners carried it, but upped the price tremendously. For instance all-of-a-sudden, the price for a 4 pack of Old Rasputin went from $ 6.99 to $ 11.99. Who were these new rude owners trying to kid with that mark up? Moreover, now they only have sub par beers you can find most places and they are extremely over priced. I only went here last couple of times out of a one block convenience but it’s so not worth it. Save yourself money and rudeness and just keep going down the street to the nearby Total Wines where there is excellent staff, great selection, and much cheaper prices. In fact, go anywhere else. These new guys at Prestige Liquor don’t deserve to stay in business and they don’t deserve your money.

I just got off of work and was heading over to a friends house for a visit and decided to stop to get a beer. Something about manual labor makes me want a really big beer. I stopped at a neighborhood liquor store, fully expecting the average variety of domestic beers: Coors, bud, etc. I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised! The place was completely empty except for a really sweet lady working behind the counter and a plethora of alcohol. This place has two cases fully dedicated to 22 oz bottles of the finest microbrew and import selection I’ve ever seen! I stood in front of the cases staring at the beauty before me not knowing what to choose because there was too much good stuff! I actually spoke out loud, «I think I’m in heaven!» I wasn’t looking around for any other alcohol, but the liquor selection seemed to be just as extensive and they also have quite a bit of wine and kegs… I will most definitely be going back!
