Prime Supermarket

Perhaps a good source for halal meats and certain middle eastern pantry items. I hear that they have good deals on feta. Other than that don’t bother.
This used to be a lively three-​star-​worthy Welco, with fresh seafood (not unusual to see live sea cucumbers in buckets), live shell fish, tons of asian foods, a huge lucky bamboo and booze section, and acceptable produce section. It wasn’t my first choice to shop, but it did OK in a pinch.
It is now a grim and sad store that houses about 66 percent of Welco’s dusty old stock, expired shelf items, and mostly untouchable produce (today I saw a rotting, mildewed onion).
I did note some interesting items from Lebanon and Egypt.
Otherwise, this unfriendly and dilapidated store makes me clinically depressed.

Foul FOUL FOUL. how I love fava beans… they have them in several variations and are all delicious! also, their vegetables are fresh and affordable!
