Inexpensive drinks, pool tables and AMAZINGFOOD! I love this place. Although this place is small, there’s many things this little joint has to offer. It’s a nice local bar to come to when you want to relax after work. If you even just want to come by for lunch, it is awesome because their food is ! I love their tacos, lumpia, BLTs and even though I don’t eat burgers, I hear they are pretty darn delicious. There is a limited stock of cider. I wish they had other selections other than the 1 brand they stock but their beers are of a wide variety. Overall, 5 stars for this small yet good place.

Full disclosure, perhaps I’m a lil biased because my cousin is the cook here, but he makes bomb lumpia and chicken wings(very crispy, but still juicy and flavorful, served with that sweet and sour sauce). I love that they allowed him to add some Filipino flair to the place! Nice dive bar atmosphere. Everyone was friendly.

Dive bar, pool bar — several of the better pool players in mid-town tend to hang out here. Two 8-ft coin op tables that are well maintained(they take pool seriously here). They’ve got free pool on Sunday nights, league play on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday nights. Drinks are good and inexpensive… bartenders are attentive. They have a kitchen here too, serving the usual bar far end then some — street tacos, chicken wings, lumpia… everything I’ve had was good! Come check it out.

It’s exactly what you want out of a dive bar. They pour cheap, stiff drinks. Bring cash. We start and sometimes end our nights here.

The food there is good. Even though the menu is drawn on a dry erase board and they have no real schedule of food it is pretty decent. Sometimes my food does not come out the same way it should be like tonight I paid extra for bacon on my burger and I got a cheeseburger with french fries and extra onion and tomato and that is part of what you get. But the hospitality is great and the people are very friendly. I’ve had some good food here I could give it another chance.

Little neighborhood dive bar with lots of regulars and definitely not for everyone. I don’t go here for the ambiance. I go for the beer, food and pool. Location is down the street from me and I found a couple of my friends there. A couple of days ago I had the Lumpia, fries and beer while my friend played pool. Jukebox has a wide selection of music(thank goodness)

Now this feels like home. Dive bar at its best. …OK I haven’t been here in at least 25 years and when I walked in Nikki the bartender was fast, friendly and pours a great drink. I came to try my old friend Dri kitchen. Only to find kitchen is closed during the day on Saturday. But check out the jukebox great tunes

Hmmmmm. Kinda dingy. Kinda divey. Cash only. Yup. If it looks like a dive bar, smells like a dive bar. Not the worst place ever, but it’ll fill its purpose for me. Stiff pours and a fine selection of deep fried goodness on the menu, including good ol’ lumpia. Yup. Filipino girl happy. Now I wouldn’t seek out this place if there are other options, but sometimes during the day, this is what I need and it serves it’s purpose well.

I am impressed with Round Corner as a Local corner bar. It has all the normal stuff of a neighborhood bar should have, 3 — 4TV’s, couple pool tables, PBR on tap and food ! With somewhat limited space [ in the kitchen ] and what could be a variable menu the Cook is cranking out some good stuff. I had the chicken wings which took some time but I was told straight up what the deal was. These were whole wings and I’m sure that they are totally made in house. My local guide and friends had 2 Broke Mouth ‘rice bowl’ things plus 2 other rice bowl things that looked great and smelled even better. It appeared to be a one man show taking orders, cooking and delivering to tables but the guy seemed very patient and helpful. Real plates and silver ware no plastic or styrofoam here. It is a Local /Dive Bar so don’t expect too much. .

Round Corner is your average neighborhood dive. It’s right in a residential area and you can tell many of the customers are regulars that walk there. It’s got your usual dive bar features: ripped and/or dirty seats, cheap beer, cash only, pool table and a jukebox. But for me it lacks a certain dive je né sais quoi. It’s super close to me but I only go there because my friends go, I may or may not go if I was personally looking for a dive to get drunk in. Never the less, I give props for the bartenders that seem pretty chill, the yummy bar food(what nibbles I’ve snuck from friends were pretty tasty) and the 50 cent«erotic novelties» vending machine in the stall of the ladies bathroom. Which I may have pumped a few dollars into, then took the prizes back to the bar where I spread them all out for us all to inspect. Drunk girls be cray! ;)

One of the best«dives» around. Comfortable, cheap, strong drinks, great food. Come see Steve or George. Make sure to order something WAY delicious from Drian at Drian’s kitchen inside the bar. Watch out for the bathrooms. Deplorable. Great place to play pool(if your a semi-pro) or just to watch when the greats are playing.

I guess they don’t want new buissness because the bartender is extremely rude. I understand having to deal with drunk people on Friday night sucks, but shouldent take it out on everyone. I won’t ever come back hear it’s nothing special.

Round Corner is awesome for beer and card playing. Yay! And they used to have a lengthy menu of several kinds of tacos, plus other yummy bar food for everyone from carnivores to vegans. Yay! But then their kitchen closed. Boo! But then it reopened. Cautious yay! We went there tonight. There was a limited menu, at least from what listed on the wall, with nothing clearly vegetarian. Boo! But the new chef Drian was wonderfully accommodating and made me black bean tacos — plus a sample of his auntie’s house made vegetarian lumpia(Filipino egg rolls) — super yummy! Not as much variety as the old tacos menu, but definitely good, and totally worth it for dinner for two for around $ 10. The verdict: Yay for having one of our favorite spots back!

Round Corner, or RC, is probably my favorite dive bar in midtown for a number of reasons. 1. The pool tables. I love pool and there is some really good competition here almost every night. There are a ton of regulars here and I’ve played them all. The only problem is there are only 2 tables so when it gets busy you can wait awhile to play. Once you do get on a table don’t lose! It might be awhile before you play again if you lose so just keep winning! 2. The staff is super friendly. They know be by name and always poor me a Sierra(my beer of choice) as soon as they see me walk in. They all know what I like to drink! 3. The drinks are cheap and they pour heavy!!! 4. They have late night food. It’s not the best food but it’s cheap and they serve it late! Overall this is just a great home bar for me. A great place to start or end your night!

This delightfully flithy dive bar is everything you’d expect, and with one notable exception*, nothing you wouldn’t. The beer is cheap. You can’t use a credit card, which at this point must be intentionally obstinate. Ordering a cocktail with more than two ingredients is likely to get you the stinkeye. It’s called the Round Corner because, lo and behold, one corner of the building is rounded. That is the level of sophistication you’re likely to encounter. But remember that part about the beer being cheap? There’s that. Also it has that musty, dimly-lit dive bar ambiance(and damn, am I ever being charitable with that word.) that pretty much guarantees the bathroom stalls have no locks, and that there’s an out-of-order«Buck Hunter» arcade machine in a corner. And yes, this bar has both of those things. If you have to take a shit in the Round Corner, try to do it quickly. But there’s something comforting about the sleaze. You can spill your beer, and the only danger is that you might be the millionth person to do that. Maybe you’ll get a prize. This is a no-bullshit, neighborhood dive bar. I once spent a lonely Christmas Eve(afternoon) here, watching an obviously adulterous forty-something(or younger, meth is a hell of a drug) couple make out on a pool table to AC/DC. And you know what? That’s fucking rad. If you’re a smoker, it kinda sucks here, since there’s no outside seating, and you have to hang out with whatever other weirdos are standing next to the ground-level coffee can that is their only ashtray. Also, never, ever play pool here against someone you don’t know. Your rent money will be gone in fifteen minutes. I assume. They’re sharks, is what I’m saying. * — That one notable exception: Housed within the Round Corner is a place called«Downtown Kitchen,» which should be separately reviewed and makes both delicious meaty and vegan things. Oh, and their tacos are phenomenally motherfucking badass. Still a +1 for this bar.

This place is exactly what it’s supposed to be; divey, sleezy, and diarrhea inducing. I love it! The bartenders seem to always be cool and courteous. They’ve always obliged me with turning up the music, putting on the Sharks or Giants, and pouring a stiff drink. The crowd of regulars know each other well and provide a good time for all. That being said, there are some characters who prompt me to keep an eye on my wallet and m’ lady. The music selection is one of those internet jukeboxes, but I often don’t have to select any music because there are already good tunes chosen by the like-minded patrons. The food is gooooooood late night or game-time grub. I’ve noticed that a good tip for the cook often yields generous portions. The tacos are fantabulous – even the veggie potato ones. There are two pretty good pool tables and there is always a willing opponent waiting in the wings. *Perk: there is a coin operated smut dispenser in the mens room… bring your quarters.

Love this bar. Has a small town dive bar feel to it. Only bad thing is they only take cash. The drinks are cheap and downtowns kitchen is inside so you can order food til 2am from them. The food is pretty damn good too!

Easily one of my favorites bar in Midtown. Cheap drinks, good vibe, great food. I wish they had a porch, but I like coming here so much I don’t even care anymore.
