I have had my hair styled twice by Rochelle. She is absolutely amazing. Rochelle has made my thick, long, coarse unruly hair totally manageable with the keratin treatment. She is a very talented hairdresser, and excellent at customer service as well. For example, I had come in thirty minutes late due to getting lost amidst the downtown construction. I called Rochelle for directions multiple times completely flustered, in which she calmly gave me directions and stayed on the phone with me until I reached her salon. She also went out of her way to accommodate me and do my hair even though I was so late for the appointment. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Purchased a Living Social deal for a wash an flat iron. Our introduction was a little rocky simply because she suggested that I get a Keratin treatment and I was not interested… but she continued to insist and give me reasons why it would be a good idea given the different types of textures/curl patterns in my hair, etc. For my own reasons, i continued to decline. As the appointment continued, everything seemed fine. She asked me questions about my hair, I told her about my recent weave debacle, and I told her that I was hoping that she would trim my hair, we laughed about what was on TV, etc. Long story short, when it came time to pay(which should’ve only consisted of a tip since I already bought the deal), she was trying to charge me $ 55 for a haircut!!! What haircut?! She explained that they had a policy where if they cut more than an inch around the perimeter, they charge for a haircut whereas a trim would’ve been free(which is what I asked for). Um – you might’ve cut at the MOST2 inches… really?! Bottom line is that at NO point did she mention that it would cost me $ 55 before or during the appointment and she knew what I was there for. She could’ve even said something when she saw that she would have to cut more than her«policy» would allow as far as keeping it in the«trim» category. But no… She waited until she was done to tell me she was charging me for anything! If she would’ve told me that she was going to charge me that amount for what I considered a trim, I would’ve kindly declined and kept it moving. What she did was NOT a cut… it was a trim by any other salon’s standards. Be careful of tacked-on extra/hidden fees here… especially if you purchase a deal because I made the mistake of ignoring another Unilocal review that said this was an issue for her as well.

Just spoke with Rochelle… extensively, I might add. She literally took like 30 minutes to answer TONS of questions regarding my hair needs as well as that of my sister who’s preparing for a «big chop.» Tri-racial hair is funny, and has imparted a different texture for each of my sisters. An individualized approach is a must, and from the recent conversation, I’m sure that’s not going to be a problem at all for Salon Entro. After we coordinate our schedules and receive each of our hair services, I will update this review appropriately.

Called owner Rochell to inquire hair extensions possibilities to surprise wife after her chemo treatment. Rochell is very professional and competent. She met with wife and provided guidance. Although there was a bit of a mix-up on appointment and wife was very apprehensive, hair extensions looked awesome. Wife was concerned because hair was put in day before leaving for Mexico trip. 6 weeks later, her hair still looks wonderful She had her natuaral hair and extensions dyed ligter shade of blonde and it looks great. It really added to her confidence and helped make her feel pretty again after losing all of her previously long blond hair. Solon is near capital in a small center with numerous small shops and stylists. You do have to pay for parking, which is a minor drawback. We used Living Social deal and the overall cost was very reasonable. Wife felt well taken care of and very comfortable with Rochell’s knowledge.

I waited until after my 3 days of keeping my hair straight and dry to write my review, however, was tempted to do it after walking out of the salon. I went in with s Groupon cut, color, mini keratin deal thinking at least I’d have my roots taken care of. First of all, I have to say that I’ve never met a stylist more knowledgeable and informative than Tamyani. She was fun, sweet and very much a professional. I decided to upgrade to a full keratin treatment which she gave me at a great price. I couldn’t be happier with the color that I gave her a range to choose from and she selected based on my skintone. She also gave me great suggestions for products to use to retain the color longer and to deal with my highly porous hair. I did a Unilocal check-in and she gave me a full sized dry shampoo which is great since I’m constantly traveling long hours for work and always the public’s eye so the whole blow drying, styling thing takes way too much time on a tight schedule. All in all, my experience was so good that I plan to make a trip back up to Sacramento from Marina del Rey(L.A.) just to have her do my hair again.

I bought the extension deal from living social for $ 199. my consult was a month in advance from the actual placement of the extensions… they called me the day of to cancel my appointment because the hair extensions didn’t show up. Even the next day… I had to call 3 times to make sure the hair was there, finally at 3rd it showed up. The girl who placed them was very nice. I tipped her $ 80. The very next day all of the hair extensions started to FALLOUT. At this point I was leaving on a flight in about 5 hours to hawaii. I called their salon about 10 times. No one called me back. I wanted to know how to take then out. Finally someone called me and said«well that’s weird, I’ll talk to the owner and see what we can do». Never got a call back. …I called another 3 times with no answer or call back. When in Hawaii no professional would remove them because it was such a mess(great way to start vacation). So I youtubed how to remove them… which didn’t work and ended up giving me bald spots. Thanks salon entro… you’re a waste of money and time. Hope that $ 80 tip bought you something nice… thanks for treating your customers sooooo well. Considering filing against them at this point because I have pictures showing what they did to my hair. Don’t go here

I’ve been coming to Salon Entro since 2010. Rochell is AMAZING! She introduced me to the keratin treatment and I’m so thankful she did! My hair is literally the healthiest it’s ever been. Rochell is, hands down, the most knowledgeable and skilled hairstylist I’ve received hair services from. I’ve seen her and her staff work wonders on all hair types. I trust them so much that I even have them cut my toddler’s beautiful, curly hair. And I’m a super protective mommy. So, that says a lot. :-) I can’t say enough positive things about Rochell and her staff. If you’re looking to find a stylist you can trust with your precious locks, look no further! Salon Entro staff are the best of the best!

A recent college grad. pursuing entrepreneurship, I have issues with both time management and maintaining consistent income. From my imaginary office at Starbucks, to business meetings with important clients to the K Street social scene, Salon Entro has always been the common denominator in the success of all my first impressions despite my short notice on appointments and limited financial budget. A starving entrepreneur I scrounged up a budget under $ 100, however it wasn’t until the day before New Years Eve. Frantic to achieve a HOT new look for 2014, I called Salon Entro, and to my surprise, my stylist picked right up! I explained my dilemma and desired look, Beyonce’s trendy highlighted bob, and despite my short notice and limited budget, my stylist took me for a next day appointment. At the appointment, rather than crush my dreams of bringing in the New Year as Beyonce, my stylist explained the concept of inspired looks and how to use substitutions to achieve celebrity looks on a post grad budget. We substituted a more costly color treatment with colored extensions to achieve my highlights for a dramatic flare. Unreceptive to a major cut, in order to achieve the iconic shape of the bob design my stylist substituted a necessary chop with leaving my front extensions a few inches longer than my natural hair length and trimmed my natural ends to create the polished evenness of the bob design. I say all this to make the point that in my experience, Salon Entro consistently provides STAR treatment and elite services to all levels of its clientele.

I bought a Keratin Treatment through Living Social for $ 125. First, when I arrived I had to wait an hour. Not a good start! Second, I was charged an additional $ 40 above and beyond… presumably because I had longer hair than the normal person? Fine, I can deal with that. I always expect some kind of ‘Bait & Switch’ through Groupon, Living Social or any other promotion. But here is the kicker… the treatment didn’t work! My stylist, Rochelle was explicit that I couldn’t do anything to my hair… wash, pony-tail, sweat, etc. for at least 72 hours following the treatment. Those were her ONLY instructions. As it turns out, I ended up waiting 6 days before washing my hair. Imagine my surprise after washing my hair that it was just as curly as before the treatment!!! Like any good consumer should, I tried to call Rochelle to explain the situation before firing off a negative Unilocal review. Interestingly she now told me that I was wrong to wait 6 days before washing my hair. According to her I was supposed to do nothing for 72 hours and then I was supposed to wash it on the 73rd hour! Hmmm, guess she left that little detail out of her original instructions! I called the company that makes Keratin to inquire about this sketchy explanation. I was told by a company representative that yes, I should not do anything for 48 hours(not 72) following the treatment… but there is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting longer, whether it be 1 week or 1 month(personal hygiene aside). So Rochelle’s explanation was a load of bull crap! That lame part is the first time I called, she offered to let me come back for a ‘mini-treatment’(which last up to 4 weeks vs. the normal 3 – 5 months) for $ 45. Ahhh, that ‘Bait & Switch’ again! After I called the company that makes Keratin and called her back, she then offered the ‘mini-treatment’ for free. No Thanks! She gets one star because even throughout the dispute, she was fairly pleasant to deal with. Not exactly ‘Nordstrom’ customer service when it comes to making things right by the customer though!

I went to Salon Entro to get the Kertain treatment I had obtained through Groupon. I was expecting a great experience since I paid $ 119 instead of the usual $ 99 I pay elsewhere for Groupon Kertain treatments. When I arrive one of the stylist told me it would be 20 min. I ended up waiting 90 min!!! Yes, 1.5 hours! When they finally assisted me they apologized and told me someone had been late that morning and pushed back their clients. She also told me she would give me free product to compensate. When I left what did she give me– a tester size shampoo and conditioner. Really? The stylist was very gentle while doing the treatment and answered questions I had. I was however sadden that I waited longer outside their salon to be seen than to actually get my treatment done. She also told me the fly-always on my head would settle down… last I checked the treatment I paid for I suppose to help with frizz and has NEVER been the case the 6 other times I have gotten this treatment. I am SOOO disappointed with this salon. I thought my friends and I who have ethnic built hair had found our next salon. Not the case.

I got a keratin treatment here a few days ago and Vishar(possibly spelled her name wrong) did a fantastic job. My hair feels light, healthy and looks really beautiful. Vishar really understood my natural curly/unmanageable hair and did a great trim on it as well(and she was even nice when she realized how much I’ve damaged my hair over the years with uneven cutting and dye-ing). Everyone at the salon was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. I would definitely recommend people to come and check this place out! They do keratin treatments without formaldehyde which is an added plus!

Rochelle is an awesome stylist. I have been seeing since 2009, and she never ceases to amaze me. I really appreciate her work. If I had daughters, they too would get their hair done by Rochelle. I have seen her do the hair of many children, including her own. She puts just as much care and pride into making sure they look good as she does into adults. A+ stylist here. Check her out!
