Nice place, a better place to sell than Renaissance.

Sequels CLOSED??? I just called and got a recording saying the store is no longer open. When did that happen? I liked the store and the saleswomen.

My mom calls thrift store rounds treasure hunting. This is the place you go to truly get a bargain. Gucci taste and generic prices

Time and time again, I cannot emphasis enough the importance of the entire shopping experience. I want to find a store, where I get to know the shop keepers. And they get to know me. I feel excited to come back again and again and check out what’s new. It’s about creating a sense of community in what is otherwise urban sprawl in a city that its only natural beauty is a river that runs through it. Your soul is sucked away by endless shopping centers that mainly carry chain stores. The only thing that makes a difference, that doesn’t make you feel like a robot just going through the motions and gives you a sense of home is the human kindness and genuine eye contact factor. I don’t mean in a creepy way. I just mean being nice and really caring about the people around you. In order to create that, you need to connect with people on a personal real level. I’m very disappointed with this store. Even after I intiated the conversation twice, I was snobbed in such a way that makes me feel this place doesn’t really care if they get any new business. When I first noticed this store, I couldn’t wait to visit it while opened. They are closed on Sundays. Through the window there seemed to be so many wonderful treasures to find, and lots of beautiful clothes to pick from. When I returned the next day, I greatly anticipated the unique and mystically fun new clothing items I would find. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed. The male shopkeeper didn’t even take his eyes off his paperwork when I came in. I greeted him with a pleasant hello and asked to try on the clothes that I had so admired in the window display the day before. I tried to engage in conversation with the man. I like to know how small business get started, who’s running them, and how they find their business is going. He didn’t seem interested in the least. His answers to my questions were short, curt, and just let the conversation die. I decided to try on the clothes he had kindly set in the dressing room. But now, I was not feeling very enthused about my choices. And there were boxes in my dressing area that I had to work around. The dresses were beautiful. A Narcisco Rodriguez dress in perfect shape. And some other modern looking dress that was the perfect size on my body. But because I was not feeling it, it just killed any joy in buying the dress even if it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when shopping for some new threads. I think some clothes if I had them slightly tailored would be amazing finds. I want to add to my wardrobe carefully. I can’t afford to buy something and only use it once. Each piece has to carry significant weight in order to invest the cost of purchasing such an item. The prices were reasonable. $ 44 for one and I think it $ 62 for the other. I know that may sound like a lot if you’re used to thrift store prices but for a high quality garment these are bargain prices. A new item like these could cost around $ 169 or more. I could get it tailored and still come out ahead. Which I’m willing to pay if the experience along with the clothing I’m buying is part of an overall enjoyable one. I know that may sound absurd to some. But with so many businesses going out of business, people generally having a lack of funds for spending, and just a general lack of customer service these days, every little edge helps the business you run to stay profitable and continuous. I tried on one more garment, and ultimately decided that there just wasn’t enough of a selection of fun clothes in here. The man never looked up, not even when I came by the front to politely say good-bye and thank you. I was willing to come back. I even wrote a polite letter to the store owner explaining my disappointing experience and that I like to try again. She never responded. I say don’t waste your time with this small minded business that has no desire to be something greater in our community.

This shop has been one of my favorite go-to consignment shops since I stumbled upon it over a year ago. Yay!!! Great locale in the midst of several other businesses I love to frequent. It’s become a healthy habit of mine. I have never left without buying something unique and trendy: Dana Buchman jeans/slacks, Michael Kors jacket, Via Spiga shoes, etc., etc. I have hesitated to write this review because I don’t want others to take my treasures! However, I like to share the wealth. I don’t know how on earth these few other reviewers got a snobbish feel from this shop, because I have NEVER got that feeling from this shop. The owner Linda, is ultra professional, very sweet and helpful in picking out items you might be looking for. Her staff is great and just as kind and helpful. Buy and sell here, you won’t be disappointed!

Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, LV, Free People, etc. are some of the brands you will be able to find here if you’re on the hunt for some pre-loved purses. Clothing is hit or miss, but they do have some gems if you’re willing to look. I say stick to Crossroads or Buffalo Exchange for for the clothing, but if you like purses/accessories, check this place out. The lady(I think she’s the owner), was very kind and helpful. Just a casual, comfortable environment if you’re in the mood to browse this kind of shop.

Well I ‘ve had the experience of buying and selling at Sequels. They are so professional! When I sold a necklace, they e-mailed me and let me know. A well known consignment store down the street,(won’t mention the name) but they have a policy of NOT notifying you of items they sold, and so this e-mail notification was appreciated. And i’ve bought some really NICE sweaters there too. The owner/salespeople very friendly, professional and helpful. An item of mine that was not selling, they called and asked me if I wanted to still sell the product, if they put it on sale. Some stores, just put the item on sale. All the way around this store, is TOPS in my book! With friendly and helpful service, and decent prices, and the intimacy of a small boutque.

I am a Realtor with Coldwell Banker and my Seller needed to get rid of some very nice clothes quickly… the home had to be emptied within a week. I contacted Sequels and spoke with Jan Float. She was so accommodating and solved our problem on the spot! I have never been to the store but from the business end I found them to be very professional and helpful. And if you are a shopper… go quickly, there should be some nice things showing up soon!

I bought the most amazing Rachel by Rachel Roy sandals here! They have so many high end items for a quarter of what they would retail for! I have seen brands like Tory Burch, Alexander Wang, anthropologie, bcbg, and other great designers. If you have expensive taste I would recommend shopping here.

Five big stars for: the owner herself being there and being very friendly, great store layout, wide selection and great accessories, reasonable pricing, helpful but not pushy ideas from staff, and sometimes a bonus visit with Barkley, the owner’s sweet-natured dog. Go with a friend — it’ll feel like a mini-party!

Nice shop; not crammed with merchandise like French Cuff or other consignment shops. Quality stuff. It had a little bit of a snobby feel though. I haven’t tried to sell anything there, so I can’t comment on that end of the business, but so many consignment and vintage shops(ie Crossroads and Renaissance) make you feel like a piece of ____when you take stuff in to sell. Parking can be a little challenging, especially around Christmas.

I came here the other night for their fall fashion show. Although the place was crowded, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They have great accessories including a wall devoted to scarves. Everything is reasonably price for the quality of the items that your purchasing. I plan on going back during their regular business hours so I have time to try pieces on.

Yesterday was my first time shopping at Sequels and will not be my last! I am not usually a consignment shopper but kept hearing such great things I had to finally check it out. I was so surprised by the incredible selection of very gently worn clothing at really great prices. I wasn’t expecting to see all the name brands that they had! The store is beautifully decorated and is organized in a way that makes shopping so much easier, not the typical mish mosh of things thrown on racks(a big reason why I usually don’t shop in second hand stores). I’ve been lost without my favorite boutiques, since many of them have gone out of business, but now I have Sequels!

Very nice ownership & employees! I sold some stuff to «Renaissance» down the street, but they are really picky about what they buy. Brought the rest of my stuff to Sequels and they took a bunch. And guess what? It’s only been a few days and a ton has sold already! Wow! Stuff I was just going to give to goodwill and instead, I get some cash! Consignment stores do take only high quality, sellable items in good condition, so bring that stuff here and drop the rest off at a thrift/goodwill. Yah!
